Chapter 736: I Didn’t Make a Mistake

Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

As the class ended, Su Bing was ready to grab his lunch box and head to the cafeteria to et his younger brother. However, before he could even step out of the classroom, he was stopped by the hurried arrival of Gao Ming.

It was then that he learned of the unfair treatnt his brother, Su Li, had been subjected to.

Dropping his lunch box, he rushed over imdiately. He knew that although Su Li appeared more lively and cheerful than himself on the surface, he was actually quite sensitive. At this mont, his brother would need him.

Fortunately, Su Bing arrived just in ti.

Su Li was originally timid, but hearing his brother’s words and seeing him walk to his side, he felt greatly encouraged. He looked up and firmly denied, “Teacher Zhou, I did not make a mistake. According to what you said, it’s because I co from the countryside, so you don’t let sit with other students, not because I made a mistake.”

Teacher Zhou hadn’t expected that Su Li, who seed easy to manipulate, would be so resilient. She was fuming with anger. With the retirent of many old teachers in recent years, most of the current teaching staff were new teachers. Teacher Zhou, relying on her seniority, often threw her weight around among the other teachers, who had beco accustod to her arrogance.

Seeing that she had no reason to fra Su Li for the ti being, she directed her anger at Yang Zhen, who had stood up for Su Li. She had always been quite jealous of Yang Zhen. This woman, young and inexperienced, had managed to secure a teaching position at the school without any assessnt, and had even signed a formal contract. She rembered how much effort and resources she had to put in to barely beco a formal teacher.

“Teacher Yang, what do you an by this? Are you deliberately trying to embarrass with these two new students? How did you beco a teacher at this school? Don’t you have any idea? You’re so young, instead of learning to be steady and taking one step at a ti, you’re always up to so tricks. What right do you have to question here?”

Hearing these words, Yang Zhen sneered, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Is it because when you first joined, you were just a temporary teacher, signing a temporary contract, so you think that everyone else is like you, only fit to be a substitute?

“I was officially admitted through examination, do you understand what a recomndation letter is? I’m not afraid of your gossip behind my back. I didn’t care before because youu didn’t say it to my face. Now that you’ve said it to my face, I have to make it clear to you. It’s not your fault that you’re incompetent, but if you think everyone else is as incompetent as you, then you’re greatly mistaken!”

Teacher Zhou’s face alternated between shades of green and white, a result of Yang Zhen’s scathing words. She was unable to retort, but her anger was palpable. She was not about to let Yang Zhen outdo her. This matter could not be left unresolved.

With a flicker in her eyes, she hatched a cunning plan. Clutching her chest, she collapsed onto her office chair, feigning a look of agony. She cried out, “Oh, I’m so upset! Teacher Yang is bullying !”

After finishing their als, the other teachers began to return. The first few who returned found Teacher Zhou collapsed in her chair, her face twisted in pain. They rushed over to show their concern.

Although Teacher Zhou didn’t have many close friends in the office, people generally could not stand to see the strong bully the weak. This was especially true for teachers, who often interacted with children and thus had a more compassionate heart than most.

Seeing Teacher Zhou in such a state, their compassion was stirred. They saw Yang Zhen standing off to the side, showing no concern, and they beca angry. One of them accused Yang Zhen, “Teacher Yang, how could you upset Teacher Zhou like this? Don’t you know she has a heart condition? It’s not good if she gets too upset. What are you standing there for? Hurry up and help find her heart dication.”

“We found it, we found it. Teacher Zhou, quickly take this. Oh my, that was close. Really, can’t we just talk things out nicely? Teacher Yang, after all, Teacher Zhou is our senior. How can you show no respect? You should apologize to Teacher Zhou.”

As the teachers scrambled to find dication for Teacher Zhou, they continued to berate Yang Zhen. Teacher Zhou watched it all, a smug expression quietly appearing on her face. Hmph, her feigned illness trick always worked like a charm. How dare Yang Zhen challenge her? She was asking for trouble. Now, she finally had a chance to get rid of this woman.

Just as Teacher Zhou seed to recover slightly, she buried her face in her arms on the desk and began to sob. “I’m so ashad, I can’t face anyone. Tell , how did I offend Yang Zhen? Why did she insult like this? Wasn’t it just a matter of the children’s seating arrangent? I already said I would change it back, but she still wouldn’t let off. I’m so embarrassed…”
