Wang Chengkun is Wang Zhenguo’s eldest grandson, who’s almost thirty.

Back then, he followed the Lu Family’s children and turned down the spot at the Workers, Peasants, and Soldiers University. For years, he fard at ho, watching graduates from that university either return or be assigned jobs by the state. He regretted it at tis, but with the reinstatent of the college entrance examination, he understood why the Lu Family didn’t send their children to that university, feeling both admiration and gratitude.

Though they’re both college students, those who get in through exams and those who are recomnded are definitely different. The weight is different; the forr has a four-year system, while the latter has two years at most, sotis just one, always engaging in revolution. What can you learn from that?

So, the clever Wang Chengkun saw through it.

The kid who inford him to fetch the admission notice was his son, nicknad Maodou, who is five years old, quirky and clever. When Wang Chengkun took his exam, it was Maodou who accompanied his grandfather Wang Dachun to send his father into the exam hall. So, in the brigade office, after hearing the mailman and grandfather talking, he turned and sprinted ho, shouting at the top of his lungs, "Dad, Dad, you got into university! And Uncle Xibao and Uncle Tianzhi, Uncle Guan Yu, you all got into Capital University!"

Screaming was no small matter; one shout stirred the entire Wanglou Brigade.

Though over two hundred people from their brigade took the college entrance exam, with one hundred and fifty passing the preliminary selection, and most passing the physical exams, several candidates had already received notices from provincial or city universities and colleges. There were even educated youths from Shanghai admitted to universities there, but no one had been admitted to Capital University.

That’s Capital University, the highest educational institution, second only to People’s University.

Most importantly, Capital University is located in the Capital, the political center of the nation, at the feet of the emperor!

The Capital holds a different status in everyone’s heart.

Getting into Capital University ans studying in the Capital, and the work after graduation probably won’t be bad, hence breaking away from this place long considered a backward rural area.

"Maodou, your dad got into university? Capital University?" Wang Fengqiao grabbed her great-grandnephew.

Maodou nodded his head rapidly, "Yeah, yeah, just like Uncle Xibao, Uncle Tianzhi, and Uncle Guan Yu got into the sa university. Wow, Dad can climb the Great Wall, see the Forbidden City, and play with Uncle Erxiong there!"

Wang Fengqiao was extrely excited, "Quick, go tell your dad and mom!"

Among her several brothers, she had the best relationship with her eldest brother Wang Zhenguo. Wang Zhenguo’s grandson was almost like her own and was much better in conduct than her biological grandson, so she naturally felt happy for him.

Wang Zhenguo was basking in the sun at the doorway when he heard his great-great-grandson’s words, equally unable to contain his excitent.

"Great, great, our family has produced a college student too. I’ll have sothing to report when I et your ancestors. Most of the other grandsons took the entrance exam too, with only one granddaughter not passing the preliminary selection, and the others performing quite well, ranking about average."

"I’m going to find Dad and Mom!" Maodou didn’t have ti to listen further, dropped a sentence, and ran ho.

Wanglou Brigade is just that small, and with Maodou’s loud voice, no news could be kept secret.

Upon hearing that Wang Chengkun and several Lu Family children were admitted to Capital University, people imdiately gathered around Wang Zhenguo, "Brigade leader, our brigade has produced so many college students, at least over a hundred, shouldn’t we celebrate? Other brigades are lucky to have ten or eight passing the preliminary selection, how can they compare to our brigade? Our brigade is on the road to prosperity."

... Today’s ten updates are finished. The flu is spreading, everyone keep warm. I’ve been knocked down by a cold, my head hurts terribly. With New Year coming, even eating at has no taste, and coughing prevents eating.
