Among the legacy of the late old leader, there are tens of thousands of books, including both ancient and modern works. Many old comrades see reading as a pasti, so nobody would co to check the books in their study. Even if soone did, they could confidently claim to be emulating the old leader.

The most important thing is, the darkest tis have passed.

Fubao was thrilled and imdiately asked Ye Yan and his brother to help move this batch of books to the downstairs study. Then he asked, "Are there any related to painting? I heard Grandpa Wen say that many great painters have published works."

"There should be. I’ll look for them carefully later." If her daughter hadn’t ntioned it, Feng Qingxue would have forgotten about these types of books.

Thinking back to then, she had acquired many old books at the recycling station.

Both valuable and worthless ones were piled high; even among the antiques she initially collected were high-quality reproductions. It was only after repeated learning and appreciation that her discernnt improved. Nevertheless, she didn’t discard the counterfeit items—you never know when they might co in handy.

Lu Jiang had always lived comfortably, and he had touched everything in his household. His eye for discerning treasures was far better than Feng Qingxue’s. While tidying the third floor with her, he chased the children downstairs to do howork or practice calligraphy and painting. He boasted to her, "Everything I’ve acquired recently is guaranteed not to be replicas. If you don’t believe , I’ll show you."

"You’ve collected so cultural relics and antiques these past two months?" Feng Qingxue was pleasantly surprised; she doesn’t mind having more.

Lu Jiang, full of pride, said, "I bought them from Old Jin and Qiao San. Those two old folks have quite a few good items, especially Qiao San. If it weren’t for his shortage of money and tickets, he definitely wouldn’t part with them. I also went to the cultural relics store to buy a few pieces; I didn’t dare to buy a lot. First, due to not enough funds, and second, for fear of drawing attention; I have to weigh my words and actions carefully."

Feng Qingxue chuckled, "So many people aspire to reach your position."

Changing the subject, she grabbed his arm and shook it, "Where’s the stuff you collected? Quickly show what treasures you’ve got. I feel like we lack a few bookshelves and display stands—should we rent a few more to turn every room on the third floor into a study?"

"Take it slow; the items are not plenty now, and they can fit. Once we have more, we’ll rent. But why are we thinking about renting furniture? You have quite a few old pieces. Why not find an excuse to bring them back from outside?" Lu Jiang felt that old furniture complents the cultural relics and antiques perfectly, "Now, what we should be considering is how to preserve the things we’ve brought out."

Feng Qingxue sighed, "It’s precisely because we lack knowledge in this area, so what we’ve laid out today are mainly porcelain, jade, and modern books—the Four Treasures of the Study. Fragile ancient paintings and calligraphy weren’t dared to be taken out."

Saying this, she also took out so porcelain, jade, and wood carvings she had bought in Shanghai, pretending they were just brought in.

Though these items seed nurous, they didn’t take up much space when arranged; so of the Four Treasures of the Study were placed on the desk, but the books occupied the most space, filling the shelves without being full. The porcelain, jade, wood carvings, and so of the Four Treasures of the Study were temporarily locked in cabinets.

Most were bought from Shanghai, having passed the eyes of the children and Adrian; a small portion was collected from the space and bought separately.

Seeing this, Lu Jiang also brought over what he had recently acquired to place together with them.

The Lu Family’s collection room facing the world was now beginning to take shape.

"One day, our third floor will be filled with treasures!" Feng Qingxue’s chest was filled with ambition and determination.
