Lu Jiang and Feng Qingxue didn’t leave the military directly; instead, they first went to the dical institute of the special forces unit to check on a few patients and give so instructions.
Even though there are doctors on duty, Feng Qingxue is never careless with her responsibilities.
Lu Jiang never puts on airs as a leader—if it’s not an official trip, he won’t use a car. By the ti Liu Ran and Zhao Qing arrived, out of breath, Lu Jiang and Feng Qingxue were already gone.
The two wanted to enjoy so ti alone, but as soon as they got on the bus, they saw a bunch of young people in military uniforms, laughing and preparing to go into the city. It seems none of them are on duty today.
“Hello, leader!” Their voices were loud, and their salutes were very tidy.

A group of young people laughed, looking at Lu Jiang, glancing at Feng Qingxue, and winking at each other.
Lu Jiang’s approachability makes them unafraid in their daily lives.

The one speaking is Tie Niu, and Feng Qingxue glared, “How co I see you again? Not on duty?”
The young soldier beside Tie Niu said with a grin, “Even if he were on duty, Tie Niu would have to get a leave. Sister Rong Hua introduced him to a potential girl, a worker at the clothing factory. We’re accompanying Tie Niu to et her. If it works out, we’ll have another sister-in-law.”
Feng Qingxue wasn’t familiar with Sister Rong Hua, probably a military spouse.
The country and the military arrange jobs for military families, so work in the military compound, so in local city areas, and so in nearby factories or units. So, military spouses introducing soldiers to local girls is quite normal.
“Good kid, perform well!” Lu Jiang patted Tie Niu on the shoulder.
Tie Niu imdiately stood up straight, “Guarantee to complete the mission!”
Whether he completes the mission, Lu Jiang and Feng Qingxue didn’t follow up and don’t know because they split up once they got to the city.
Besides departnt stores and the cinema, there’s really nowhere to stroll. At the cinema, they found out the sa movies were still playing, including Shanzha, which didn’t interest Lu Jiang and Feng Qingxue.
As they prepared to leave the cinema, soone called out to them from behind, “leader!” They turned around and saw it was indeed an acquaintance.
“Han Ping? What are you doing here?” Lu Jiang was particularly delighted to suddenly see an old subordinate from the old unit.
Han Ping scratched his forehead, “I was discharged and returned to my hotown.”
When you reach the age limit, but not the rank, there’s no choice but to be discharged, and transitioning is for officers, not them. Fortunately, during his years in the army with Lu Jiang, he built so connections and found a decent job when he got back ho.
This is quite common, and Lu Jiang and Feng Qingxue were not surprised, just didn’t expect Han Ping to be from Wucheng.
Feng Qingxue asked if he was married now. She had promised Han Ping to help him find a wife before and introduced him to two girls, but neither worked out. Han Ping probably got discouraged and didn’t continue.
