“Here you go!” Lu Tianzhi, who was closest to her, sighed and passed her the roll he had made.
Seeing this, Feng Qingxue silently took back the duck at roll she had prepared for Christine, and handed it to Dundun. Xibao and Fubao could fend for themselves. The triplets would start with Dundun as the leader, followed by Erxiong and Zhuangzhuang.
“Thank you, Lu, you’re really a good person!”
In the evening, holding the scallion pancakes wrapped in oil paper from the kindhearted person, Christine waved to the Lu Jiang family as they drove her back and walked towards her room still bouncing and almost dancing with joy.
“Helen, Edward, you guys hurry up and co out for so delicious food, or there won’t be any left if you’re late!”
With a shout from Christine, her companions ca out of their rooms one after another, gathering in Christine’s room, curiously looking at the paper bag on the table. They imdiately sniffed, “Slls so good!”
“What’s delicious?” Helen asked while reaching out to grab a paper wrap and opening it.
Christine distributed the rest to her friends and kept one for herself, “Scallion pancakes, delicious scallion pancakes. I made a new friend who makes them. I brought them back as soon as they ca out of the pan.”
What made Christine happiest was that Lu Tianzhi had included her when making them, which is why she could continue to enjoy them.
Edward took a bite and his eyes lit up, “Delicious!”
“Yeah, really delicious, crispy and crunchy!” Edward’s eyes lit up too.
Of course it’s delicious, the Lu Family always uses generous amounts of ingredients, and even a state-run restaurant can’t compare to this, not to ntion they’ve been eating Western food all the ti.
Helen also ate voraciously and noticed after Christine took off her cotton coat that the necklace around her neck wasn’t the Cartier Diamond Pendant and platinum chain from before, but a red string tied with a particularly shiny, translucent green jade plaque.
“Christine, did you change your necklace pendant?” the observant Helen asked indistinctly.
She couldn’t help but mumble as her mouth was full of scallion pancakes.
Touching the plaque, Christine rembered the words Feng Qingxue told her when she gave it to her and said with a smile, “Yes, the diamond pendant is too small compared to this. This is a jade peace plaque that’s ant for bringing safety.”
She didn’t ntion who gave it to her, nor why she changed it.
Helen studied it for a mont, “It looks nicer than your diamond pendant.”
“I really like it, it really matches my clothes, and it has a beautiful aning.” Christine looked down at it, continued to eat her scallion pancake, and thought what to do as she wanted to eat more and more?
Looking at the scallion pancake that was now less than half a palm-size, Christine felt she should continue to be good friends with Lu Tianzhi!
And just like that, she cheerfully decided.
