Chapter 1484: Chapter 1484: Be Good Friends 1

Chinese people have always been hospitable, and facing a foreign friend like Christine, the Lu Family ticulously prepared breakfast.

However, given the current limited conditions, it wasn’t possible to add ‘delicacy’ to the abundance.

Feng Qingxue had asked Christine about her dietary preferences and taboos the day before, so the dining table at ho featured Eight-Treasure Porridge, scallion pancakes, boiled eggs, two types of at and vegetarian buns, as well as four dishes: scrambled eggs with garlic shoots, spicy and sour shredded potatoes, stir-fried cabbage with vinegar, and fried wood ear mushrooms with onions, offering a breakfast much more sumptuous than what most other households, including many old leaders, would have.

Christine liked onions, so the at buns were specially made with pork and onion filling.

“No no no, Feng, I think this scallion pancake is my favorite!” Christine held up the scallion pancake in her hand, her mouth shiny with oil, savoring the crispy texture and the intermingling fragrances of wheat, scallion, and oil – it was so delicious that she snubbed the onions, even though she had always been fond of them.

“My Brother Tianzhi made them,” Xibao said proudly; he also liked scallion pancakes, as well as chive pockets and dumplings.

Christine looked towards Lu Tianzhi with admiration, “You’re amazing!”

Christine was too enthusiastic, making Lu Tianzhi feel sowhat uneasy, “If you like them, eat more, eat more.”

“Thank you! They are delicious, I’ll keep eating!” Christine took a big bite without caring much about her appearance.

She loved photography and outdoor activities, often traveling far and wide, using up a lot of energy, which ant she ate a lot of food, naturally leading to a big appetite. Moreover, there was no planned economy in France, her family lived comfortably without the need to scrape by, and since coming to China, her status as a foreign guest allowed her to buy things as she desired without understanding the pain of material shortages, so she had the appetite of two people when eating.

Influenced by her hearty appetite, everyone else ate more than usual as well.

“So full! So full! Lu, can I take so with when I leave to share with my friends?” Christine asked while licking her fingers, her eyes a bright blue and filled with pleading, finally bringing her hands together in front of her chest in a praying gesture.

Lu Tianzhi nodded, “Of course you can. When you leave, I’ll make a fresh batch and wrap them individually with paper.”

Giving away leftovers in the morning doesn’t seem polite, right? One must show the deanor of a great nation towards foreign guests.

“By the way, Christine, how many friends do you have?” Lu Tianzhi asked; he was very mindful, having heard that als in foreign countries are served individually.

“Lu, you are too kind!” Christine spread her arms, wanting to give Lu Tianzhi a hug, but he dodged it again, and she shrugged her shoulders, “Lu, you are too shy, you should learn from BaoBao, right BaoBao?”

Xibao mimicked her shrug, “You already said my Brother Tianzhi is shy.”

After the al, Christine helped with the dishes, but Wang Cuilan stopped her, “You are our guest; we’ll do it.”

“How can that be right? I’ve eaten, and I didn’t cook, so I should wash the dishes.” Christine was used to fending for herself since a young age; she moved quickly, her greasy hands still holding a stack of bowls steadily as she asked Lu Tianzhi, “Lu, where to wash the dishes? I noticed there’s no sink in the house.”

“The kitchen!” Lu Tianzhi led the way.

Lu Erxiong followed them just to be part of the bustle, carrying the bowl from which he had eaten his porridge.

The reason Lu Erxiong followed Christine was simple: he was eyeing that cara, but unfortunately, after Christine finished washing the dishes and returned to the main room, she opened her suitcase to distribute gifts.
