Feng Qingxue walked through the front door, and Zhuangzhuang dropped the pogranate he was holding and ran over.
“Mommy!” He cried out joyfully, clinging to her thigh without letting go, his fair and handso little face turned up, “Mommy, mommy, Erxiong is so naughty, he stole Dundun’s egg cake, you must rember to spank him.”
“Okay!” Feng Qingxue agreed as she walked under the pogranate tree and looked up, “Don’t just throw the pogranates you picked on the ground, put them in the basket, we’ll give so to the neighbors later.”
Maintaining good relationships with neighbors is important.

This year’s harvest of pogranates was bountiful, with twice as many as last year, bending the branches with their heavy load. Lu Jiang understood his wife’s aning and chuckled: “Tomorrow is National Day, October 1st; the old leader is very busy and definitely won’t have ti to et us one-on-one. We’ll visit in a couple of days, the old leader wants to see our whole family. The big issues are nearly settled, only follow-ups remain. After eting with the old leader, I can take a month’s leave. I sent a telegram back ho, and Dad is bringing Xibao to the Capital City.”
“Dad and Xibao are coming? That’s wonderful!” For Feng Qingxue, this was the greatest news, “I’ll get their room ready imdiately. Speaking of which, tomorrow’s National Day, don’t you have plans?”
Now Lu Jiang is a man of status, no longer the young commander who was underappreciated.
He has a place in important national events.
Lu Jiang replied, “I definitely won’t be at ho tomorrow. There are so many activities for National Day, I have to attend all of them, without missing a single one, and also discuss future work arrangents and military deploynt with the leaders.”
All the military units and governntal offices need to be reorganized.
Feng Qingxue understood and didn’t object, but instead fully supported her husband’s work.
When Lu Jiang was busy with his nurous affairs, two days later in the evening, Father Lu arrived in the Capital City, dusty and tired with Xibao, having flown from Jinling, so they arrived quickly.
Feng Qingxue and Wang Cuilan took the kids to the airport to pick them up, using the public bus.
“Xibao, I’ve missed you so much!” Feng Qingxue took a hold of her eldest son and compared their heights, “Wow, you’ve grown a lot!”
Xibao hugged his mother’s waist, “Mommy, I missed you too!”
Lu Erxiong’s eyes beca red, tugging at Xibao’s clothes, “My mommy, my mommy missed the most!”
“Lu Erxiong, you’re still such a rascal!” Xibao turned around and patted his younger brother’s head, “You’re with mom every day, making her miss you, aren’t you ashad? I haven’t seen you for over a year, don’t you miss ?”
“I do!” Lu Erxiong sweetly replied.
Xibao went and gave a hug to his sister and triplet brothers, “I’ve brought lots of fun things for you.” Looking every bit the elder brother.
Zhuangzhuang dug out two bright red pogranates from his pocket, handed one to Xibao and passed the other to Grandfather Lu, his big eyes turning sweetly, “Grandpa, big brother, here, eat. These are pogranates picked by dad, they are super sweet. I knew Grandpa and big brother were coming, so I saved the best pogranates for you!”
After saying this, he didn’t forget to add, “Not giving any to Erxiong!”
Father Lu and Xibao were particularly delighted and exclaid in unison, “Zhuangzhuang is such a good boy!”
