Su Shuochi had also seen the movie *Heavenly Fairy Match*. Since ancient tis, the mortal realm had been filled with countless heart-wrenching and epic myths and legends.

*Heavenly Fairy Match* was one of the classics.

Once upon a ti, a young man nad Dong Yong willingly sold himself into servitude to pay for his deceased father’s burial.

He was kind, honest, and just one of the countless impoverished souls in the world. His plight moved the Seven Immortal Maidens, the Jade Emperor’s youngest daughter, and when his story was made into a movie, its beautiful scenes touched the hearts of millions of mortals as well.

The young and downtrodden n of the world were especially envious of Dong Yong, all of them dreaming of being noticed by an immortal maiden.

Middle-aged won, too, hoped their sons might win the favor of an immortal. That was why the movie *Heavenly Fairy Match* was so beloved by the common people.

Before his injury, Su Shuochi believed that you had to rely on yourself for everything. The idea of immortals descending to the mortal realm was just nonsense.

Even after he was injured, he never dread that an immortal would co down to save him.

It wasn’t until his wife started conjuring food for him out of thin air that he began to believe *Heavenly Fairy Match* might be real after all.

’My wife is the most beautiful immortal of all.’

He felt the Su family must have hit the ancestral jackpot to have him marry an immortal.

At this mont, the stunned Su Shuochi had lost all of his forr wisdom and composure.

He was now utterly convinced that his wife was an immortal from the heavens.

’The Heavenly Court in the movie was so luxurious. There are hardly any places like that in the mortal world!’

’And when the Seven Immortal Maidens left, she flew slowly up to the Heavenly Court. But my wife can send the donkeys to her Heavenly Mansion without a sound.’

’Doesn’t that an she could return to her Heavenly Mansion in a split second? I wouldn’t even see it happen!’

Before, after kissing his wife, Su Shuochi had felt she was completely his. His heart had settled, resting easy in his chest.

But now, it was suspended again, pounding wildly. He couldn’t help but tighten his grip on Gu Jiaojiao’s hand.

"Su Shuochi, what’s wrong with you? Are you trying to break my hand?"

Gu Jiaojiao saw him staring at her with wide, dazed eyes. He was squeezing her hand so hard it throbbed with pain.

"My love, does it hurt?" Su Shuochi looked at the red mark on his wife’s fair little hand.

Without a second thought, he brought it to his lips and blew on it, his heart aching with guilt. "Jiaojiao, you really sent the donkeys to your Heavenly Mansion?"

Seeing him get all dramatic again, Gu Jiaojiao asked, "’Heavenly Mansion? You know about the Heavenly Mansion?’"

’This is my space, and I had no idea how to explain it. ’Heavenly Mansion’ works, I guess!’

"Of course, I know. I’ve seen *Heavenly Fairy Match*, and I’ve also seen *The Eight Immortals Cross the Sea*."

"Well, would you like to co in and take a tour of my Heavenly Mansion?"

"I... I’d love to! Can I really?" Su Shuochi’s voice trembled.

"Close your eyes and we’ll see," Gu Jiaojiao said, though she wasn’t sure if she could actually bring him into her space.

Su Shuochi obediently closed his eyes. He hadn’t been this unguarded since he’d beco an adult.

But he trusted her completely. Without her, his family would still be struggling in the abyss.

With his eyes closed, Su Shuochi imagined his wife’s ho: a floating island in the sky.

Palaces towered over layers of misty clouds, with ethereal wisps of immortal energy weaving together to form the most magnificent and majestic celestial palace.

It was like a graceful immortal maiden, a light veil draped over her jade-like arms, wading elegantly toward him until she ca into view—a sight to behold.

There should be endless jade pavilions and gilded palaces and pagodas.

They would be subrged in a hazy sea of clouds, set against a sky that blazed with a golden radiance, creating a scene of breathtaking grandeur.

"Why are your eyes still closed? We’re here," ca Gu Jiaojiao’s cheerful voice.

"Huh? Isn’t this pretty much the sa as the mortal world?" Su Shuochi slowly opened his eyes.

The first thing he saw was a few acres of land. Next to the field was a pigsty, which currently held the five little donkeys.

Farther ahead was a row of low, white buildings that looked like a hospital from the mortal world. This was a far cry from the Heavenly Mansion he had imagined.

"HAHAHA... Did you imagine my Heavenly Mansion was like the Jade Emperor’s Heavenly Court?"

Gu Jiaojiao laughed with her hands on her hips. When she first t this man, his gaze was so sinister he looked like he wanted to kill her.

Later, as they spent more ti together, he learned she could heal his leg, and his smile when he was happy was very handso.

But she had never seen him look so goofy, staring blankly at everything in the space.

His mouth was hanging open, a dopey expression completely at odds with his usual intelligent deanor as he took in his surroundings.

The sight of this man looking so silly was like watching a god fall from his pedestal—an unexpected and endearing sight.

In that instant, Gu Jiaojiao’s heart was moved. She had liked Su Shuochi before, but she wasn’t yet in love with him.

When he kissed her, she had felt his deep affection ca from the bottom of his heart, but she’d always assud he had an ulterior motive.

’So this is what feelings are like. They never make any sense. He must be so insecure because he’s fallen in love with .’

Su Shuochi’s repeated declarations of affection were like gentle knocks on Gu Jiaojiao’s heart, causing her to fall for him without even realizing it.

She thought about those who want to be open and honest in a relationship, only to end up with a "player" and get their hearts broken.

This fear had made Gu Jiaojiao afraid to fully open her heart to him, let alone take the initiative to show her own affection.

But now, she wanted to take a bold chance on love. ’Regardless of whether love is there or not, you have to be yourself first. Love yourself before you love others—that’s an immutable law.’

As long as she had a clear conscience, none of this was wrong. In the world of emotions, nothing was ever certain; everything was a matter of fate and circumstance.

"Shuo Ci, have you gone silly on ...?" Gu Jiaojiao gently shook the man’s arm.

Her body was instantly pulled into a powerful embrace, and her unfinished words were smothered by a passionate kiss...

Just as Gu Jiaojiao had predicted, Mr. Gu and the others had already arrived in Feng’en County.

"Uncle Gu, should we stop and wait for Brother Su and his wife?"

"Zijie, let’s just keep going. Jiaojiao said that since we’re not in good health, it’s better for us to take a slower vehicle. She said she’d drive the farm vehicle to catch up with us."

"Alright then, Uncle Gu. When I get back, what should I tell my parents about the Divine Doctor?"

"Er! Well, how about we just say that Ruixian is the Divine Doctor we found?" It was the first ti Mr. Gu had ever considered lying.

"I... that’s not a good idea, is it? Wouldn’t that be deceiving Zijie’s parents?"

"Uncle Geng, you don’t understand. My parents would never believe in Eldest Sister-in-law Su’s dical skills!"

Song Zijie had never t Gu Jiaojiao before, so he quickly accepted her seemingly omnipotent abilities.

But Aunt Song was the director of the neighborhood won’s committee; she knew exactly how many chickens each family had and when they last ate at.

"Ruixian, Shuo Ci and Jiaojiao will be the ones performing the surgery on Zijie anyway. You can just stand by and watch."

"Yes, yes, Uncle Gu is absolutely right. Let’s do that. I’ll go back and tell my parents we’ve found the Divine Doctor, hehe..."

With newfound hope for his life, Song Zijie no longer felt that tightness in his chest while riding in the car. His spirits were high.

anwhile, back at the Song Family’s ho, Uncle and Aunt Song hadn’t slept soundly for the past two days.

"Honey, do you think our son will really be able to bring the Divine Doctor back?"
