A chill ran down Su Shuochi’s spine as he watched the won swarm him from all directions. He shot Han Jinghong a sideways glance.

The man shuddered, a bad feeling washing over him. He knew he’d chosen poorly.

To avoid revealing his true strength, Su Shuochi could only dodge the won swarming him like flies.

He couldn’t be bothered getting entangled with them, though he was well aware that among them were young ladies from prominent families.

It wasn’t that he was afraid of them; he just wanted to avoid trouble at all costs. He had always kept to himself, even before getting married, and he hated places like this.

After getting married, he was perfectly content with his wife. If he weren’t here looking for soone, he never would have set foot in this place.

He never expected these rich girls to be just like the dance hall hostesses, clinging to him like leeches.

With a sigh, Su Shuochi could only head for the exit. ’Only a weirdo like Han Jingshen could stand this place,’ he thought. ’I can’t take it.’

He weaved and dodged the whole way, fending off several girls’ advances, and was just about to reach the main entrance of the dance hall.

But the girls were still chasing after him. He glanced back at the pests trailing him.

"Hey, isn’t that enough?" he warned impatiently. "I said I’m not interested. Please stop following ."

The mont Su Shuochi finished speaking, the girls’ expressions changed.

One of them, a rather glamorous-looking girl, snorted. "Not interested, yet you ca to a dance hall? Who do you think is going to believe you?"

Her spoiled temper flaring, the young lady charged recklessly toward Su Shuochi.

Su Shuochi, forgetting all pretense of gentlemanly conduct, shot out a kick that sent her flying several feet.

He was already strikingly handso, with sharply chiseled features. The fitted leather jacket he wore only accentuated his dashing figure.

The other won’s gazes turned strange. A bolder one’s mouth twitched as she said, "So, you really don’t like won, huh?"

Another girl nodded in agreent, a hint of shyness in her eyes. "Tsk, tsk. What a waste of such a handso face."

"Thanks for the complint. Can you all get lost now?" Su Shuochi said nonchalantly.

He was furious inside. ’These won are implying I like n.’ But he had no desire to explain himself. He only had eyes for his wife.

No other woman could ever catch his attention, so there was no need to clarify.

These won were infuriating. Su Shuochi ignored them and continued toward the exit.

This ti, however, another girl refused to give up. She chased after him, shouting, "Hey, what’s your na? I think we should get to know each other..."

Not wanting to say another word, Su Shuochi turned and quickened his pace. He could already hear footsteps approaching.

He knew he’d been targeted. There was more than one, and they were fast.

Sure enough, a man in a black jacket erged from the shadows and blocked his path.

Su Shuochi stopped and sized up the man. He was around six feet tall with a muscular build; he didn’t look the least bit weak standing before him.

His looks were average, his features coarse, but he had a pair of fierce eyes that now held a hint of sinister charm.

One look at him gave the impression of a sinister, cunning, and ruthless man.

A man like this was the worst kind to cross.

Clearly, Su Shuochi didn’t appreciate being scrutinized like this.

But the man before him gave him a strangely familiar feeling—the sa feeling he got when confronting a criminal suspect.

He frowned, pretending to be annoyed as he asked, "Who are you? Why are you blocking my way?"

Inwardly, however, he was already on high alert.

The man, thinking Su Shuochi had noticed nothing, curled his lip into a smile. "Who I am isn’t important. What’s important is that you’re coming with ."

"And what if I refuse?" Su Shuochi retorted disdainfully, putting on a flippant act.

’He doesn’t think this man is a match for him. Even with their numbers, he was incredibly strong now.’

"Then you leave no choice," the man sneered.

"Your friends are still inside. If they saw you get beaten to a pulp by , I imagine you’d lose a lot of face."

"You’d have to be capable enough for that," Su Shuochi said, his eyes glaring. ’This man actually dares to threaten . He’s utterly clueless.’

"Haha." The man’s laughter grew wilder, his voice tinged with mockery and contempt. "If you’ve got the skills, feel free to give it a try."

"Hmph!" Su Shuochi snorted and wasted no more words. In a flash, he was in front of the man.

A flicker of surprise crossed the man’s eyes. He hadn’t expected this kid to be so difficult, to strike so quickly.

He hastily tried to dodge, but his reaction was a step too slow. Su Shuochi’s fist was already coming, aiming straight for his lower body.

The punch was incredibly powerful. Had it landed squarely, the man probably would have spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair.

The man dodged again. His reaction was plenty fast, but he hadn’t anticipated Su Shuochi’s agile movents.

He had no ti to get out of the way and could only block the punch with his arm.

The force of Su Shuochi’s blow was imnse. It sent a numbing shock through the man’s arm, and he staggered back two steps before falling flat on his face.

Lying on the ground, he looked up, his eyes filled with astonishnt. He never imagined the power behind that punch would be so great.

"Just who are you?" the man asked, narrowing his eyes. He felt this young man’s identity was anything but ordinary.

’Our intelligence network screwed up. There’s no way a few of us can handle this guy.’

Su Shuochi stepped forward, planted his foot on the man’s back, and sneered, "Who I am isn’t important. What’s important is that you dared to block my way. My conscience wouldn’t let rest if I didn’t teach you a lesson."

"You..." The man gritted his teeth. Su Shuochi’s words were so arrogant, so conceited. He was just asking for a beating.

Seeing this, one of his companions stepped forward. "Where did this punk co from, daring to cause trouble on my turf?"

Another man sneered, "I think he’s tired of living, daring to disrespect us."

Hearing them, Su Shuochi’s gaze turned icy. "I’ve seen plenty of arrogant bastards like you.

But I’ve never seen soone act so tough while they’re pinned under my foot."

"..."

The burly man under his foot broke out in a cold sweat. "You guys... just leave."

"No way! If we go, we go together! We’re not cowards! Let’s get him together and take this kid down!"

The man who looked like their leader finished his declaration but didn’t rush to attack. Instead, he pointed at Su Shuochi and made a vicious threat.

"You’d better pray we don’t make it out of here alive tonight. Because if we do..."

Su Shuochi watched the group roll up their sleeves, ready for a fight. Their arms were tattooed with a black snake pattern.

It looked savage and terrifying, but Su Shuochi knew: it was the mark of an organization.
