"A pleasure to et you. I’m not worthy of the title ’Divine Doctor’," Gu Jiaojiao said politely, taking off her sunglasses.

She looked at the middle-aged man across from her. His handso face showed a hint of reverence, and his features bore a noticeable resemblance to Elder Xiao.

Xiao Zhengang saw Gu Jiaojiao’s delicate face, with its large, lively, and beautiful eyes.

’Judging by her eyes alone, she must be even younger than my youngest daughter, who’s twenty this year.’

’Perhaps her skin is rough and makes her look older because she travels everywhere saving people!’

Xiao Zhengang extended his right hand in a gesture of invitation. "Divine Doctor Su, the patient is already waiting in the ward. Shall we go now?"

"Dean Xiao, Professor Xia, please." Gu Jiaojiao returned the gesture with a slight bow before taking the lead.

She knew she was operating on Mu Ziquan today, so she wasn’t the least bit nervous.

After changing into sterile scrubs, the large group made their way to an exceptionally large hospital room.

Sitting on the hospital bed, Mu Ziquan recognized Gu Jiaojiao at the head of the group in a single glance. He quickly lowered his head, afraid others would see the look of stunned admiration in his eyes.

"Have all the preliminary checks been done?"

"Everything’s normal."

"Anesthesiologist, you can begin. Local anesthesia will be sufficient," Gu Jiaojiao instructed.

"Divine Doctor, for a major operation like this, shouldn’t we use general anesthesia?" Xia Qiuming asked, looking at Mu Ziquan’s deep, ocean-like eyes.

Gu Jiaojiao thought of what Su Shuochi had said when he refused general anesthesia. She looked at Mu Ziquan and spoke.

"I believe local anesthesia will allow you to remain conscious and experience the procedure. The choice is yours."

"You are very considerate, Divine Doctor. I am very grateful. I agree; local anesthesia will be fine."

Mu Ziquan was in a fine mood, and his voice was exceptionally pleasant, like a rich wine that leaves a lasting impression.

"Positions, everyone. Prepare to begin." Spoken through a voice changer, Gu Jiaojiao’s voice was even clearer and more pleasant than her natural one, and it snapped everyone to attention.

For this operation, Xia Qiuming was the lead surgeon, with Xiao Zhengang as the first assistant and another surgical departnt head as the second.

Gu Jiaojiao was overseeing the entire procedure, ready to step in at any mont should sothing go wrong.

As the surgery began, various machines whirred to life, and Xia Qiuming operated with practiced skill.

He skillfully utilized a variety of instrunts, constantly switching between forceps, clamps, and scissors.

Surgical clamps and various instrunts passed from the hands of the assistants to the lead surgeon.

Depending on the area of the body, the surgeon had to constantly adjust his position.

Whenever he encountered a difficulty, Xia Qiuming would look to Gu Jiaojiao for guidance, and at tis, she was required to intervene personally.

If Vice Director Xia’s technique was impressively skilled and dexterous, then Divine Doctor Su Gu’s was not only sublily masterful but also perfectly thodical in every step, leaving everyone in utter awe.

Throughout the entire process, Mu Ziquan mostly kept his eyes closed, consciously aware of the sensations and sounds of scalpels and clamps cutting into his flesh.

But whenever he felt a surge of panic, he would open his eyes to glance at Gu Jiaojiao’s intensely focused face, which brought him a profound sense of comfort and security.

The surgery lasted from nine in the morning until three in the afternoon. Many hands truly do make light work, as the operation only took six hours.

"Everyone worked together perfectly. The surgery was a great success," Xia Qiuming said, wearily praising everyone in the room.

Mu Ziquan, who had been conscious until the very end, said, "I sincerely thank all of you. You’ve worked so hard."

"Don’t ntion it, Mr. Mu," Dean Xiao said, his voice filled with excitent. "You can rest easy now. We were just doing our duty."

’Today, I’ve witnessed a surgeon even more skilled than Professor Xia. Her dical abilities surpass even those of my ntor from abroad.’

His capable assistant opened the door to the operating room, and the students, too excited to stand on ceremony, filed out one after another.

"Slow down, one at a ti." Before Xia Qiuming could finish speaking, a spray of blood burst from his chest as he stood exposed in the doorway.

Xiao Zhengang, standing beside him, reached out to catch him, only to be dragged to the floor as well.

"Professor Xia!" The mont Gu Jiaojiao realized what was happening, she scread, "Quick... shut the door!"

She kicked hard against the adjacent wall. As light as a swallow, she launched herself into the air and slamd the door shut.

Only Mu Ziquan, Gu Jiaojiao, Xia Qiuming, Dean Xiao, and the surgical departnt head remained in the room.

"Mu Ziquan, don’t you dare move." In the chaos, the voice changer she’d been using had fallen out at so unknown mont.

At that mont, no one else noticed her real voice, yet Mu Ziquan miraculously beca still.

And the image of Gu Jiaojiao’s valiant, heroic action was forever seared into his mory.

’I almost jumped up just now. If I had actually moved, today’s surgery would have been for nothing!’

Kneeling on the floor, Xiao Zhengang pressed his hands against Xia Qiuming’s profusely bleeding chest, not daring to let go.

’If I let go, the blood will just gush out. If Professor Xia hadn’t pushed out of the way, I would have been the one who was shot.’

"Quick, get a hemostatic agent!" Xiao Zhengang roared at the surgical departnt head, who was cowering and trembling in a corner.

"I’ll do it." Gu Jiaojiao imdiately took out her Golden Needles and perford acupuncture on Xia Qiuming to stem the bleeding, also sprinkling so of her special hemostatic powder on the wound.

The wound, which had been bleeding uncontrollably just a mont before, stopped instantly. "Get him onto the hospital bed."

’I really never expected there to be a sniper lying in wait outside.’

’These secret agents are unbelievably audacious. Not only were they waiting to attack Mu Ziquan, but they even dared to go after the doctors performing the surgery.’

’When the door opened, so many students and dical staff walked out, but the sniper didn’t fire.’

’That ans there must be a spotter with the sniper, soone who can identify the dean and vice director.’

Gu Jiaojiao could guess that the agent must have also figured out she was Divine Doctor Su Gu.

’It’s a good thing I shut the door so quickly. Otherwise, everyone in this room would have been done for.’

As Gu Jiaojiao personally operated on Xia Qiuming, Xiao Zhengang and the surgical departnt head composed themselves and began to assist her.

By this ti, news that their operating room had been targeted by a sniper had spread throughout the entire hospital.

The hospital periter was being guarded by special forces today, and they were not to be trifled with. They quickly pinpointed the sniper’s location.

But the agent was ruthless to the end. Before being taken down, he fired a wild spray of bullets, wounding several soldiers in the arms and legs.

The wounds bled uncontrollably. The military had recently acquired two types of premium-grade wound dication designed for rapid hemostasis and healing.

Each special forces soldier was authorized to carry one bottle, but until now, none of them knew just how effective the dicine was.

Although they all possessed the dicine, they had been uncertain of its efficacy. Now that his comrade was injured, however...

His partner, of course, took out his own bottle and poured the contents over the wound without a second thought.

For a mont, the two partners stared at each other, their eyes wide with shock. "It stopped!" one of them exclaid. "The bleeding stopped!"

Hearing the cry, their nearby comrades whipped their heads around. Seeing that the profuse bleeding had actually stopped, they were completely dumbfounded.

"My God, what kind of dicine is this? How is it so potent? It can even stop bleeding this severe?"

The soldiers murmured in disbelief, simultaneously feeling an imnse sense of relief that they too possessed such an incredible dicine.
