Who was that person reflected in the well water? Their face was covered in gri, and their entire body looked like it had been rolled through a mud puddle.

Gu Jiaojiao closed her eyes and opened them again. The reflection in the clear spring well had just opened its eyes too.

She tried to wipe the gri from her face, but when she raised her hand, she saw it was just as filthy.

She glanced at the crystal-clear Spiritual Spring well, then back at her own filth-caked body.

’I can’t possibly ruin this spiritual spring water!’

She wished silently, ’It would be great if there was a small pond. I feel so disgusting, I have to wash up.’

Suddenly, a pool large enough for two people actually appeared just below the spring well.

This gave her a shock. ’What’s going on?’

’Could my thoughts be so powerful that I’m hallucinating?’

She shook her head, but the pool was still there. Deciding not to overthink it, she walked right over to it.

’First things first, I need to get clean. I’ll only feel better once I’m clean.’

The mont she stepped into the pool, a wave of warmth washed over her. The water temperature seed perfect for a long soak.

But she wasn’t in the mood for a hot spring bath. There was too much to do. She quickly scrubbed the gri from her body.

Afterward, she went, naked, to the walk-in closet in her space to find sothing to wear. ’It’s a good thing Su Shuochi just had surgery and can’t move.’

’Otherwise, this would be way too embarrassing.’ Since she was in a hurry, she quickly grabbed a robe and put it on.

Feeling light and refreshed, Gu Jiaojiao walked toward the dical room where Su Shuochi was.

"Darling, why are you still in the space? And why are you dressed like that?" Su Shuochi was so startled that the large bowl in his hands clattered to the floor.

"Sothing amazing happened! I’ll carry you over so you can see," Gu Jiaojiao said, walking toward the dical bed.

She effortlessly lifted Su Shuochi and told him all about her miraculous discovery as she walked.

She happily explained everything she knew about the Spiritual Spring Space and the effects of the Spiritual Spring.

At first, Su Shuochi was skeptical. But when his darling wife lifted him and started walking with ease, he had no choice but to believe her.

Soon, they arrived at the edge of the Spiritual Spring well. This ti, Gu Jiaojiao had the foresight to bring a cup with her.

She set Su Shuochi down on the ground beside the well. Holding the cup, she scooped up so water and brought it to his lips. "Here, drink a few cups of the spiritual spring water and see what happens."

Su Shuochi looked at the clear well water, then at the pool of filthy water. He knew everything his darling had told him was true.

He opened his mouth and drank without a second thought. It didn’t matter that his darling had already tested it; he would have drunk it even if it were poison, as long as she was the one offering it.

He drank three consecutive cups of the spiritual spring water until his stomach was too full to hold any more. Otherwise, he would have kept drinking.

Limitless hope surged within him. ’Now that I’ve drunk the spiritual spring water, if I soak in the hot spring, will my wound heal instantly?’

But soon, he couldn’t think about anything else. Just as his darling had said, the pain was so intense it made him question his own existence.

His pain was even greater than Gu Jiaojiao’s had been, but his tolerance for it was also a cut above.

He didn’t so much as grunt, rely closing his eyes to endure it as the toxins were purged from his body.

But so of his ridians had been damaged, and being healed by the Spiritual Spring was an excruciating, soul-searing process. The pain was especially intense because his Combat Power was far greater than Gu Jiaojiao’s.

As a result, the agony he endured was many tis greater than hers. "Su Shuochi, there’s no one else here. If you can’t take it, just scream. I won’t laugh at you."

Su Shuochi: ...

’I’m not falling for that,’ he thought. ’She might not laugh at now, but she’ll definitely use it to tease later!’

"Don’t worry, no matter how much it hurts, you’ll feel incredibly refreshed afterward. Just enjoy the process. I’m going to use my thoughts to move the dirty water from the pool to water the dicinal herbs."

Gu Jiaojiao walked to the edge of the pool, closed her eyes, and repeated her wish three tis. When she opened them, the pool was completely dry.

’It’s incredible!’

’It’s even faster than changing the water in the bathtub from her previous life, and this pool is three tis bigger!’

Gu Jiaojiao refilled the pool with fresh water, then looked back at Su Shuochi. He was countless tis filthier than she had been.

The man’s endurance was truly formidable. Her heart ached for him. "Su Shuochi, do you want another cup of water? Or how about I carry you into the hot spring? Maybe that will lessen the pain."

Su Shuochi was still in too much pain to speak. He knew how filthy he was and was afraid of soiling her.

Gu Jiaojiao couldn’t make out his expression through the layer of gri on his face. Seeing his silence, she knew he must be in agony.

She rembered how comfortable the hot spring had felt, so without a second thought, Gu Jiaojiao lifted Su Shuochi into the pool.

"AHH—"

Su Shuochi couldn’t hold it in any longer and cried out in pain. The warm water offered him no comfort.

The wound on his leg erupted in a tearing pain that not only made him dizzy but also felt as if soone were ripping apart his heart and lungs.

He could no longer bear it and let out a great cry. Gu Jiaojiao squeezed his hand, her own heart twisting as if from a knife.

Her eyes welled with tears. "Su Shuochi, I’ll get you out of here. This is all my fault."

"Jiaojiao... don’t cry... I can take it. It’ll be over soon." Su Shuochi forced a pained smile.

His smile was like a searing fla, scorching Gu Jiaojiao’s heart.

Gu Jiaojiao frantically helped him scrub the filth from his body. With her as a distraction, the pain truly began to subside.

Or perhaps he simply didn’t dare cry out again, for fear of making his precious Jiaojiao cry.

"Jiaojiao, wherever your hands touch, the pain disappears completely." In truth, he was still in agony.

In fact, where her small hands scrubbed, it felt even worse—like ants gnawing at his skin. But he would never tell her that.

An unknown amount of ti passed before the wound on Su Shuochi’s leg slowly healed over, without even leaving a scar.

"Su Shuochi! Su Shuochi, does it still hurt? Quick, look! The spot where I operated and stitched you up last night—there’s not even a scar!"

Gu Jiaojiao’s voice was filled with boundless joy. Her face blood like a flower with happiness, revealing a set of perfectly white, even teeth.

Beaming with excitent, she was so happy that she began to jump and splash around in the small pool, sending up sprays of water.

It was not a pretty picture. The water also stank.

But both she and Su Shuochi were too happy to contain their racing hearts, and they completely ignored the foul odor.

Seeing her so happy, his own lips curled into a crescent moon. His heart felt as if it had suddenly burst into bloom.

He looked down at his leg. There was truly no scar. He could no longer maintain his usual composure; his heart was pounding.

He swept her up in his arms and spun her around and around in the filthy water. "Darling, I can’t believe it! I stood up so easily!"

"Yes! And you can hold and spin around, and lift up high! Oh, my gosh, I’m so happy!"

Gu Jiaojiao was overjoyed. A lovely smile graced her face, and she nodded her head repeatedly like a little dove.

"Jiaojiao, maybe we should change the water and wash up properly?" Su Shuochi’s senses had returned.

He also rembered that two people were waiting outside for his darling to give him acupuncture with her silver needles.

Gu Jiaojiao had to change the water three tis before they were both finally clean. Miraculously, Su Shuochi could now walk with perfect ease.

He held her by the shoulders and warned her, "Jiaojiao, you must never tell anyone that you have spiritual spring water.

The human heart is impossible to predict. There will co a ti when even the loyalty of a pet you’ve raised with your own hands will give you cause for doubt."
