To be honest, Xu Da had never thought much of Du Liya. She was just a woman Shen Zhengfeng had cast aside.
But he still had to give them face. Not just for Du Liya’s sake, but for that kid Shen Yi’s as well. Then, Xu Da could use his seniority at the factory to keep his managent position.
After all, that mother-son duo was completely in the dark and knew nothing. They would probably end up trusting him.
That way, he could continue to skim from the factory, secretly pass information to Shen Zhengfeng, and keep an eye on Du Liya and her son.
He could be polite to Shen Yi and Du Liya, but he couldn’t be bothered with anyone else. He didn’t need to take them seriously. Especially when he looked at the young, beautiful girl before him, Xu Da’s tone beca even more disdainful.

"From now on, Shen Yi is the director of this clothing factory. Please be mindful of how you address him and don’t make such a basic mistake again," Qin Jiao cut him off.
Earlier, he had called Du Liya "Mrs. Shen" just to spite her.
’This kind of old scher, full of nasty ideas, always pulling rank but useless when it counts.’ After his expression changed, Qin Jiao smiled and said, "Oh, and you won’t get the chance to make any more mistakes. Because as of today, you’re fired."
Xu Da had expected that the mother and son would argue with him. He knew their weaknesses: one was clueless, and the other had a short fuse. They would have been very easy to handle.
But this sharp-tongued young woman who had appeared out of nowhere wanted to fire him right off the bat. Xu Da completely lost it!
"On what grounds are you firing ? E-Even if you are Shen Yi’s wife and the deputy director of this factory, you have no reason to just fire a veteran employee!"
"What if that veteran employee is disloyal? A mont ago, you had soone watch the gate. You knew we were here long before we knocked, but you didn’t open it. Why?"
"I... I was afraid those debt collectors would barge in!"
"Why are you afraid of debt collectors barging in? Did you help Shen Zhengfeng do sothing you feel guilty about?" Qin Jiao pressed, closing in on him.
Xu Da took two steps back, a cold sweat breaking out on his forehead. He pulled out a handkerchief and wiped his brow, his bravado already crumbling. "N-No, I’m not afraid of anything. It’s just normal factory operations. We just had so cash flow problems."
"If these are normal operations, and you knew we were here to take over the factory, then why didn’t you let us in?"
Xu Da collapsed onto a stool, his forehead drenched in cold sweat. He was completely stunned.
Many people stared at Qin Jiao in amazent, including her own parents. They never expected Xiao Jiao to be so fierce, to have such strong fighting spirit.
With just a few words, she had left that old scher Xu Da completely bewildered.
anwhile, Shen Yi wore a proud smile. ’My Jiao Jiao is just that amazing!’
For now, Xu Da couldn’t leave. The handover wasn’t complete, and he couldn’t get out the door anyway, with people watching him like a hawk.
He couldn’t even make a phone call.
However, as he watched Shen Yi and the others go over docunts and check the account books, Xu Da slowly cald down.
’He knew there was still a pile of rchandise stacked up in the warehouse. If they really kicked him out, there would be no one left who could sell it off. Then they would never be able to pay the creditors waiting outside.’
