Zhang Dongi clutched her clothes tightly. That damned girl Su Xiaoxiao had wronged her so badly, and yet she was so smug and successful. She would never let her get away with it.

"Achoo~"

Su Xiaoxiao sneezed uncontrollably. Who was talking about her behind her back again?

Just as she was thinking about it, soone tapped her on the back.

Turning around, upon seeing who it was, she smiled with delight: "Hongjie, what brings you here?"

It turned out to be Zhang Xiaohong and Chen Tieshan.

"We heard there’s a promotion event here, so we ca to check it out."

Chen Tieshan said.

Seeing Su Xiaoxiao, Zhang Xiaohong promptly abandoned Chen Tieshan and wrapped her arm around Su Xiaoxiao’s: "Sister, it’s great to see you! Help figure this out quickly. I can’t make heads or tails of how to get the best deal. Who knows which genius ca up with this promotion; it’s giving a headache."

Su Xiaoxiao: "..."

It shouldn’t be that complicated, right?

Until she personally did the math... Wow, if she hadn’t set the promotion terms herself, she would’ve been completely confused.

She filled half a page with calculations before figuring out the most cost-effective plan.

"Hongjie, look, buying your things like this is the most affordable way."

Zhang Xiaohong glanced at the paper, where it was clearly laid out how to buy what for the biggest discounts.

"Sister, you’re amazing. I nearly cried trying to figure this out and still couldn’t get it. No wonder I didn’t do well in school."

She said, giving Chen Tieshan a glaring look: "See, can’t even compare to my sister, useless!"

Chen Tieshan wanted to cry but had no tears. He couldn’t do anything about it. After all, he was a poor student.

"Alright then, sister, we’re off to shop, and I’ll treat you to a al later."

Zhang Xiaohong waved to her, arm in arm with Chen Tieshan as they left.

Su Xiaoxiao continued wandering around, and as she reached the defective items stall, she saw a crowd gathered, noisily arguing. It sounded like a fight had broken out.

"I saw these leather shoes first, let go of them!"

"Pfft, you saw them first? Does that make them yours? Why don’t you just say everything here is yours? I paid, so they should be sold to first!"

Zhang Yulan had been called in to manage the defective items stall today and was now getting a headache from the two arguing people.

"Sister Zhang, what’s going on?"

In the middle of the chaos, she heard Su Xiaoxiao’s voice, and it was like seeing a savior.

Zhang Yulan hurriedly explained what had just happened.

It turned out a granny had initially looked at a pair of leather shoes, noticing there was only one pair left. She haggled with Zhang Yulan for a cheaper price.

Items like these defective ones were already sold at ten percent of the original price, making them quite cheap with no room for further discounts.

Besides, the prices were set by the managent, and she, a re sales clerk, had no authority to change them.

The granny haggled for a long ti, didn’t get a lower price, and left angrily.

Just after she left, a middle-aged woman showed up and paid for them imdiately.

Who knew, right after the middle-aged woman paid, the granny ca back, found out soone bought the shoes, and started cursing.

The middle-aged woman was no pushover either, and the two began pulling each other’s hair after so verbal sparring.

Zhang Yulan wanted to diate but couldn’t separate them, so she could only feel anxious on the side.

"Ladies, there’s no need to rush. There will be more defective items like these tomorrow."

Su Xiaoxiao spoke up, but both were too wrapped up in their fight to listen.

She had to raise her voice and shout: "Everyone wanting to buy defective leather shoes, don’t worry. There’ll be different styles tomorrow—maybe even more trendy ones."

This ti, the granny heard and imdiately retracted a Nine Yin White Bone Claw.

"Hmph, you can have this pair. I’ll co back tomorrow for the new ones."

The middle-aged woman, upon hearing there would be new arrivals tomorrow, refused as well.

"I don’t want these either. I’ll co back for the new styles tomorrow."

Su Xiaoxiao was at her wits’ end. It’s said one woman can be as unruly as 500 ducks—these two were noisy enough to boil her brain.

The middle-aged woman shrugged at Zhang Yulan: "Refund ; I’ll co back for the new styles tomorrow."

Zhang Yulan looked at Su Xiaoxiao for help. They’d specifically stated in advance that these defective items sales were final, no returns or exchanges.

But dealing with these two troublemakers, Su Xiaoxiao was out of ideas.

She nodded at Zhang Yulan, who quickly refunded the middle-aged woman, finally putting an end to the scene.

Once the two had left, both Zhang Yulan and Su Xiaoxiao breathed a sigh of relief.

Before Su Xiaoxiao could let out her breath, she noticed two familiar figures in the crowd.

Wasn’t that Skinny and Liu Dadan? Why were they here too?

As she wondered, they both grinned and pushed through to her.

Both were loaded with bags as if they intended to stock up.

"Comrade Su, your departnt store’s promotion is really too great. Let us know if you ever have another one like this."

"You two are dreaming—this kind of event happens at most once a year."

If they had such promotions all the ti, wouldn’t their departnt store end up bankrupt?

Skinny grinned: "Then we’ll make sure to get as much as we can this ti. Once this chance is gone, there won’t be another like it."

Liu Dadan chid in: "Right, right, Brother Monkey, let’s go buy so more."

After saying that, they bid Su Xiaoxiao farewell and headed off for a second round of shopping.

Watching them shop like there was no tomorrow, Su Xiaoxiao didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Apparently, these two were here to really stock up.

It had to be said that today’s year-end promotion was extrely successful.

In a short ti, they managed to clear a third of inventory that had been sitting for years. At this rate, the departnt store’s stock could soon be wiped out in a couple of days.

Yan Guohua took so ti to check things out and couldn’t help but beam at the sight of the crowd buzzing around.

"Comrade Xiao Su, your idea is wonderful. It solved a big problem for our departnt store."

Though they were selling at a discount, it wasn’t a total loss. It was better than having everything gather dust in the warehouse.

All considered, it was a thin margin with high volu turnover, providing considerable flow capital for the departnt store.

"You young girl, you’re full of brilliant ideas despite your age."

Yan Guohua was nothing but generous with his praise for Su Xiaoxiao, making her a bit bashful.

"General Manager, you flatter . I just got inspiration from seeing other places hold similar events while on business trips."

She couldn’t exactly say it was experience from the future, so she concocted a random excuse.

Yan Guohua smiled warmly: "Keep those inspirations coming in the future."

The two were chatting happily when suddenly there was a sarcastic voice from behind them.

"It’s just organizing a promotion, what’s the big deal? Look at how smug you are."

Upon hearing this, Yan Guohua turned to see his rival, Chen Guangjian, the general manager of First Departnt Store, standing not far behind them with a sneer.
