"But people like Comrade Liu, who have money, surely wouldn’t care for these things, so I didn’t bring anything for you."

After Su Xiaoxiao finished speaking, she smiled at the people behind Liu Changjiang, her attitude a stark contrast to before.

Zhang Yulan, Qin Shuang, and a few other female colleagues who usually got along well with Su Xiaoxiao ca forward.

"Manager Su, you’re back."

They all looked at her with expressions full of enthusiasm.

Liu Changjiang felt a bit suffocated; these female sales clerks usually acted indifferent towards him, yet they were all eager to please Su Xiaoxiao.

Bah, a bunch of fence-sitters and flatterers!

Su Xiaoxiao put the large hemp bag she was carrying on the ground: "Don’t worry, I rembered everything you asked to bring. The delivery fee isn’t cheap, so I figured it was better to just carry it all back myself. Earning money isn’t easy, so wherever we can save a bit, we should."

The ones who had asked Su Xiaoxiao to bring things thought she had forgotten since they never received any packages from her. Unexpectedly, she rembered everything and even went through the trouble of personally carrying it all back, which moved them greatly.

"Manager Su, from now on you’re like my own sister. If there’s anything I can help with, don’t hesitate to ask."

"Manager Su, I must say, you are my idol. Unlike so people, who are so wishy-washy and reluctant to even help with small favors, we won are much more forthright."

"Right, right, Manager Su, you truly have a kind heart. Under your leadership, our departnt will only get better and better."

When so people were ntioned, the speaking woman intentionally glanced at Liu Changjiang beside her. It was quite obvious whom she was referring to.

Liu Changjiang: "..."

These opportunistic won, truly siding with whoever benefits them! This brat rely brought a few trivial things for them, and they quickly start fawning over her. They’ve really got no sense of the world, humph!

After distributing the items she helped carry for everyone, Su Xiaoxiao began handing out small gifts she had brought.

Of course, these items were only given to those she truly got along well with, like Zhang Yulan and Qin Shuang.

"Sister Zhang, here are so canned seafood and beef sauce I brought back for you to enjoy."

As Su Xiaoxiao spoke, she stuffed two cans into Zhang Yulan’s arms.

"Shuangshuang, this one’s for you."

After giving Zhang Yulan her share, she swiftly handed another to Qin Shuang.

Both were sowhat overwheld by her generosity. These were rare items, and they hadn’t expected Su Xiaoxiao to think of them on her trip.

Liu Changjiang, having not received anything, remarked sarcastically, "It’s just a canned product. What’s so special about it?"

Right after speaking, Zhang Yulan opened the canned seafood, releasing an enticing spicy fragrance into the air.

The aroma alone made one feel like having it with rice.

Liu Changjiang couldn’t help but swallow a bit of saliva, shalessly inching closer: "Manager Su, where did you get this canned seafood? Is it good?"

Before Su Xiaoxiao could answer, Zhang Yulan picked a spicy piece of ribbonfish from the can, taking a bite: "Mmm, it’s delicious. I’ve never had such tasty canned seafood in my life. Comrade Liu, do you have any other questions?"

Liu Changjiang: "..."

Damn, this woman is definitely doing this on purpose!

He couldn’t very well say he hoped Su Xiaoxiao would share one of the many canned seafood items he noticed in her sack.

Damn, this woman is so stingy.

Liu Changjiang left with a sullen face, arms crossed behind him.

"Bah, shaless! Acting like he doesn’t care yet hoping to benefit, practically drooling over it."

Su Xiaoxiao took two more cans from the bag, asking Zhang Yulan and Qin Shuang to help store the rest in the office, then proceeded to find Chen ilan with so gifts, eventually heading straight to the general manager’s office with the remaining set.

In the office, Yan Guohua was delighted to see her return: "Xiao Su, you’ve finally returned. You’ve accomplished sothing great this ti. You won’t be shortchanged on your bonus at the year-end awards."

Initially, she thought she’d be reprimanded for returning late, but to her surprise, Yan Guohua looked at her with warmth.

"You just got back, why are you at work already? I’ll grant you leave, and your attendance bonus will remain unaffected. Go ho and rest, co back tomorrow."

Su Xiaoxiao felt quite flattered. She was indeed exhausted from a full day on the train.

Following the general manager’s suggestion, she quickly nodded: "Thank you, General Manager."

As she spoke, she placed two boxes of canned goods from her bag onto the table: "General Manager, here are so canned seafood and beef sauce I brought from Hai City and Chuan City. Please try them when you have ti; they’re really quite good."

Yan Guohua enjoyed a drink now and then, and these made excellent appetizers. He couldn’t be happier.

He pulled out a banknote: "Alright then, thanks, Comrade Xiao Su. Take this as paynt."

The woman went to great lengths to bring these back for him; a gesture of gratitude was necessary.

"General Manager, there’s no need for that. These aren’t expensive items."

Su Xiaoxiao couldn’t accept the money and quickly tried to return it.

Yan Guohua pretended to put on a stern face: "Xiao Su, if you don’t accept the money, I can’t accept the stuff. Receiving sothing for nothing could be seen as taking a bribe."

Su Xiaoxiao: "..."

What a hefty accusation! Heaven and earth bear witness she never considered it that way; she just felt the general manager treated her well and wanted to show her appreciation.

In the end, under Yan Guohua’s insistence, Su Xiaoxiao accepted the two yuan for the canned goods.

On her way out of the general manager’s office, she ran into Liu Changjiang coming up the stairs.

Locking eyes with her, Liu Changjiang said sarcastically: "No wonder I lost the managerial position; soone else knows how to flatter better. Had I known, I might have learned to butter up the leaders too. But I’m an honest guy."

Su Xiaoxiao: "..."

This guy knows how to write the word ’honest,’ but what part of him even remotely resembles that? Truly polishing his own image! Doesn’t he find it awkward?

"Comrade Liu is right; you are indeed too honest."

Hearing this, Liu Changjiang thought Su Xiaoxiao intended to praise him and thought to himself, perhaps this girl has good judgnt after all.

But just as he was feeling pleased, Su Xiaoxiao continued: "The clocks didn’t sell well, yet you covered the cost, silently sacrificing for our departnt store’s sales target. Tsk, tsk, Comrade Liu, you’re sothing else."

Su Xiaoxiao said, giving Liu Changjiang a thumbs-up.

With that said, she turned and headed downstairs.

Liu Changjiang stood still, taking two seconds to comprehend Su Xiaoxiao’s sarcasm; she clearly implied he was foolish.

"Su Xiaoxiao, you brat!"

A furious yell echoed through the skies, but Su Xiaoxiao pretended not to hear, cheerfully continuing downstairs. However, as she reached the counter, she overheard so sales clerks chatting during a break.

Hearing the content of their discussion, she stopped abruptly.
