This is what happened...

In the evening, Liu Cuilan saw it start to rain and sent the fourth and fifth child to pick up Su Xiaoxiao.

After giving instructions, she went to cook.

But she didn’t notice that the two of them were so focused on running they forgot to bring an umbrella.

The result was predictable...

Su Xiaoxiao’s gaze at them was indescribable.

The fifth child could be excused, but how could the fourth make such a basic mistake?

Looking at her third sister’s puzzled eyes, the fourth child scratched his head awkwardly, "The fifth said he brought one."

Su Xiaoxiao: Alright, these two, one’s daring enough to say it and one’s daring enough to believe it, really a complent to each other.

After dinner, Su Xiaoxiao went into her room, opened the ga store, and prepared to buy an alarm clock.

Otherwise, her constant last-minute dashes to work were too taxing, her legs couldn’t keep up.

Just as she’d ordered the alarm clock, a ssage popped up: Clearance sale on beef-flavored instant noodles, only ten coins for a large bundle.

Su Xiaoxiao’s eyes lit up imdiately; she’d been craving this for a long ti.

Imdiately, without hesitation, she ordered a large pack and stored it in the small warehouse.

With a "ding," ten packs of beef noodles appeared neatly in the small warehouse.

She set the alarm clock, planning to make instant noodles for breakfast for the whole family in the morning.

Golden fried eggs paired with delicious instant noodles, plus the green onion and spinach of this era, so fragrant.

Lying on the kang, she blissfully thought this over, but within two minutes, she couldn’t lie still.

Ahhh... she wanted to eat it right now.

Acting on impulse, Su Xiaoxiao climbed off the kang, luckily the house now had electricity, perfect for cooking in the small electric pot.

She excitedly rubbed her hands and set to work.

The boiling aroma spread in the small room, and Su Xiaoxiao inhaled deeply, wow, this slls amazing.

As the noodles were almost done, she hurried to pick up the chopsticks, but as soon as she did, she heard slurping sounds.

Su Xiaoxiao instinctively wiped her mouth, she wasn’t drooling, so why the slurping sound?

"Slurp~"

In the dim light, the slurping appeared again, Su Xiaoxiao looked up at the sound and saw two dark heads poking through the door.

Weirdly, those heads weren’t just dark-haired: their faces were dark too.

The dim light shone on the heads and suddenly both lifted, showing big white teeth.

Whoa! What is that? Why just the teeth?

Su Xiaoxiao almost had a heart attack from fright, then heard two familiar voices at the door, "Third Sister, what are you eating that’s so good-we want so too."

Isn’t that the voices of the fourth and fifth child?

She quickly turned the flashlight, finding that the two crouching at the door were her little brothers.

"What are you two doing, trying to scare soone at this hour?"

Su Xiaoxiao clutched her racing heart; lucky she didn’t have heart disease, otherwise, she’d have perished then.

No, she’ll have to fix the broken door bolt tomorrow or they’d frighten her to death one day.

"Third Sister, can we have a taste please?"

The two blinked their eyes pitifully, but their faces were so dark, aside from the white teeth, nothing else was clear.

"Go wash your face, get your own bowls and chopsticks, co late, and I won’t save you a bite."

Su Xiaoxiao said dismissively.

The little brothers’ eyes sparkled, and they cheerfully ran for bowls and chopsticks.

"How did you two end up like this?"

Su Xiaoxiao divided the noodles, curious about their makeover tonight.

Su Jianwu scratched his head: "Both of us were too hungry to sleep, thinking of making sothing to eat... and then..."

Well, just like her, they woke up from hunger.

"Boys in their teenage years eat a ton, tonight she profoundly understood that saying.

She hurriedly covered the remaining packet of noodles in the bag: "Get back to sleep before you stunt your growth."

Su Jianwu gulped down the last noodle soup: "Third Sister, can we have this for breakfast too? It’s the best thing I’ve ever tasted."

Su Xiaoxiao: "Get back to your own room."

She cooked four packets, yet only had a small bowl for herself and the two little brothers finished the rest, even the soup.

If she hadn’t stopped them in ti, they would have cleaned the pot.

Are they reincarnated from starving ghosts? They can really eat.

The two reluctantly left.

The consequence of the late-night feast was... Su Xiaoxiao successfully overslept again.

Looking at the shattered alarm clock on the floor, her stalled brain slowly restarted.

Darn, why is this thing so fragile? Why can’t they invent a stainless steel version?

Laboriously she climbed off the kang, well, today she was working on an empty stomach again.

She sped to the departnt store, coincidentally eting Manager Xu coming to open the doors.

Hurriedly covering her face, she slipped into her assigned counter.

Just as she relaxed, Zhang Dongi’s mocking voice ca, "Su Xiaoxiao, look here, this is the latest recorder my cousin got . Isn’t it grand?"

Su Xiaoxiao looked over and saw Zhang Dongi carrying an old recorder on her shoulder, looking exceptionally smug.

Doesn’t she get tired carrying that thing all day? It looks heavy too.

Su Xiaoxiao was shocked and utterly puzzled.

Sothing’s wrong with Zhang Dongi’s brain, to be carrying it to work?

Su Xiaoxiao’s expression was one of envy, jealousy, and resentnt to Zhang Dongi.

Imdiately, Zhang Dongi triumphantly carried the recorder back to her counter amidst the confused faces.

Su Xiaoxiao exchanged a glance with Zhang Yulan, well, as long as she’s happy.

Thinking she outshined Su Xiaoxiao, Zhang Dongi paraded her recorder wherever she could, showcasing it in full early glory.

The training assessnt was the next day, and Xu Cuilan generously let everyone leave an hour early for training to get a good rest at ho.

Su Xiaoxiao leisurely entered the training room with her bag, and imdiately spotted Zhang Dongi standing in front with her recorder on her shoulder.

Su Xiaoxiao: "..."

She’s been carrying it all day, what’s her deal?

"Since everyone is curious about my new recorder, how about I play so music to entertain us?"

Just then, Zhang Dongi spoke up.

Imdiately a voice chid in support: "Mr. Zhang, play the one Su Comrade played, the most zesty ethnic style."

Zhang Dongi’s mouth twitched: "I didn’t get that tape, but I have the latest Hong Kong songs, everyone will love it."

With that, she pressed the switch, and lodic music filled the training room; everyone was imrsed in the beautiful tunes.

You have to admit, listening to old tunes truly has a unique charm.

While Su Xiaoxiao was enjoying the musical cleanse, Zhang Dongi’s provocative voice suddenly reached her: "Su Xiaoxiao, dare to bring your recorder out to compare?"
