Su Xiaoxiao’s words placed everyone’s attention on Zhang Guifang.
"Yeah, how did she get so many national grain coupons? Could she be planning to sell them on the black market?"
"She always accuses others of market speculation, I bet she’s just the thief crying ’stop thief’."
"That Zhang Guifang always bullies Sister Cuilan. I bet she’s up to no good again this ti."
Everyone talked amongst themselves, and Zhang Guifang turned pale: "I’m not, I didn’t."
In a rush to pick up the grain coupons from the ground, she accidentally stepped on sothing, fell flat out.
With a ripping sound, Zhang Guifang’s newly made polyester pants split at the seam, revealing the patched-up floral underwear underneath.
Second Fool poked his head in, teasingly: "Sister Zhang, who would’ve thought your undies are so trendy? Are they the new fashion in patched underwear?"
Usually, Zhang Guifang ridicules this person, looks down on that one, always complains others are stingy, yet who knew she’d be all spruced up on the outside, while inside the underwear was all patches.
The crowd burst into laughter right away.
Zhang Guifang was furious enough to curse.
But just as she opened her mouth, the little stone in Su Xiaoxiao’s arms suddenly peed, the pale yellow liquid cut a graceful arc in the air, landing squarely on Zhang Guifang’s face.
The key point was, she had just opened her mouth.
"Ptooey ptooey... Ugh... Su Xiaoxiao!"
Zhang Guifang turned green with rage, wiping her face, and glared venomously at Su Xiaoxiao.
"Oh dear, Auntie, if you wanted a drink, you could’ve just said so, now look, it’s wasted. Next ti, little stone’s child pee, I’ll save it all for you."
The whole place burst into laughter, Second Fool chid in: "Sister Zhang, this child’s pee is good stuff."
"You... you all!"
Zhang Guifang was so angry she huffed and puffed, feeling she might just pass out the next second.
She escaped in embarrassnt, slling of pee, and in her hurry out the door stumbled over the threshold, kneeling before the crowd watching the spectacle at the door, her head-covering hat fell off, revealing a shiny bald head.
Second Fool jumped down from the wall, teasing as he approached: "Wow, Sister Zhang, your new hairstyle is sure bright, must save a lot on the ho electric bill, right?"
Zhang Guifang: "..."
She gritted her teeth picking up the hat, stood up from the ground, and ran off with a dark face.
Having dealt with Zhang Guifang, Su Xiaoxiao returned to her room in high spirits, and packed all the fish from the small warehouse in space for delivery.
Looks like she can’t slack off anymore, got to send the fish out as soon as she catches them.
She returned last night too tired, she had put the fish into the water tank and fallen asleep, who knew she’d unravel such a scene early this morning.
Thinking about those grain coupons on Zhang Guifang, she felt there was definitely sothing wrong with them.
A few days ago she heard soone saying a person from the neighboring village got caught by the police for dealing grain coupons on the black market.
Could Zhang Guifang’s grain coupons be related to this?
No, she had to find a way to investigate, at least add a little trouble for this cheap Auntie, otherwise she’ll be idle every day, always causing displeasure.
Thanks to Zhang Guifang, Su Xiaoxiao didn’t have ti for breakfast, directly biked to the city departnt store.
Along the way she pedaled the bike fast, finally arriving just in ti before the departnt store opened.
Zhang Dongi saw her like this, sneered: "Coming so late every day, how do you have the nerve."
Hearing this, Su Xiaoxiao imdiately glared back: "I neither delayed work nor was late, personal ti is mine, I can co whenever I want, mind your own business! Really ddling for nothing."
Being worked like a horse or ox every day was tiring enough, why should she tolerate other people’s nonsense.
Zhang Dongi stomped her foot in anger: "I’m just thinking of your good!"
"Oh please, I’ll kindly refuse, paying attention to yourself with that spare ti, alright? You’ve been at work for so long, how’s the proficiency?"
Yesterday Zhang Dongi was complained about by a custor for miscalculating prices, hearing this, she glared at Xiaoxiao in anger, turned her head and left.
Xu Cuilan walked past, stopping by Su Xiaoxiao’s side to pat her shoulder: "Xiaoxiao, exams are coming soon, as long as the managent is satisfied, I’ll not only raise your salary but also make you Employee of the Month."
Su Xiaoxiao was pleasantly surprised: "Thank you, Manager Xu."
Wang Lili overheard this, angrily grinding her molars, wondering why this brat Su Xiaoxiao kept stealing her thunder despite her being the top of the interviewees.
Does she have any other skill than flattering the bosses?
No way, this ti she wouldn’t let this brat beco Employee of the Month, or she’d be shitting on her head in the future.
With that thought, she looked over at Zhang Dongi.
Zhang Dongi imdiately understood and caught up with her.
"Lili, looking for ?"
Wang Lili’s lips curled with a sinister smile: "Dongi, do you want to see Su Xiaoxiao’s reputation ruined?"
Zhang Dongi had always dread of that, imdiately moving closer and whispering with Wang Lili.
Monts later, both wore similarly malicious smiles.
Su Xiaoxiao sneezed, feeling as if soone was gossiping behind her back.
Today wasn’t too busy at the deli counter, by closing ti, she grabbed her bag and entered the training room promptly.
Only a week left before the training assessnts set by the business bureau managers, she needed to make the most of it.
Upon entering, she noticed the place was particularly crowded today.
Even Wang Lili, missing for several days, stood among them, looking down her nose at her.
There’s sothing fishy when things are out of the ordinary, Su Xiaoxiao felt Wang Lili had ill intentions.
Yet by the end of the training, the young lady surprisingly hadn’t acted up, leaving Xiaoxiao puzzled.
Could she be here for the rhinestone hairbrush? But she didn’t look the part.
Unable to figure it out, she decided not to waste any brain cells.
Taking things one at a ti, she’d soon know her intent by the assessnts.
She pushed her bike out, and from afar spotted a familiar tall figure standing under the nearby tree.
Her pedaling paused, what was Zhou Cheng doing here?
Rembering the money tickets he left with her, Su Xiaoxiao quickly pushed her bike towards him: "Comrade Zhou?"
After months of not seeing her, Zhou Cheng’s heart pounded nervously, his words coming out haltingly: "Su... Comrade Su, there’s sothing I’d like to discuss with you."
He was in town for a mission this ti, squeezing in ti to visit her.
He had written several letters over this period, yet Comrade Su never replied.
Conversely, Comrade Zhang often wrote to him, slandering Comrade Su’s unclear entanglents with other male comrades.
He trusted Comrade Su’s character, but her continuous indifference worried him, was there soone she truly liked now?
With that thought, he summoned the courage to ask: "Comrade Su, do you have soone you like?"
