She initially thought she had misheard, but the rustling noises beca increasingly clear.

Suddenly, with a click, the door latch was opened by soone.

Is it a thief?

Su Xiaoxiao sat up in a shiver.

The black shadow that had just entered the door was startled by her.

Upon realizing, it imdiately dashed forward.

Su Xiaoxiao only felt a cold flash before her eyes, then her neck was pressed by a dagger: "Don’t make a sound."

The faint moonlight stread in through the window; it wasn’t very bright, but enough for her to see the person’s face. It turned out to be that Great Immortal from the dayti.

Chen Guangyuan looked closely at her enchanting face, feeling an unbearable itch in his heart.

He leaned close to Su Xiaoxiao’s neck, taking a deep breath, "Little beauty, you really sll good."

As he spoke, he impatiently leaned in to kiss her.

Su Xiaoxiao felt a wave of nausea rise in her stomach and put her hand against his chest, "Wait a minute."

Chen Guangyuan was impatient, "Wait for what? I’ve been waiting too long already."

"Look, what’s that?"

She pointed above Chen Guangyuan’s head in a flash of inspiration and shouted.

Chen Guangyuan glanced up and sneered, "Little beauty, stop making pointless struggles."

After speaking, he grinned sinisterly and approached her.

Just before he could touch her, sothing landed heavily with a thud on his forehead, making him see stars. Seizing the mont, Su Xiaoxiao kicked and flipped him onto the ground.

"Damn, you stinking woman, how dare you ambush !"

Chen Guangyuan struggled to get up, but just as he reached halfway, he felt a chill against his neck.

Lowering his head slowly, he saw a gleaming kitchen knife pressed against his throat.

Su Xiaoxiao sneered, "What did you just say?"

Chen Guangyuan: "I said, I’m sorry, I was wrong, I won’t dare again, please spare , heroine."

Once he finished speaking, he got up and kneeled swiftly, banging his head on the ground twice as a sign of submission.

Su Xiaoxiao pulled over a nearby chair, crossed her legs, and narrowed her eyes at him.

Under her foot was Chen Guangyuan’s dagger; in her left hand, a brand-new kitchen knife; in her right hand, a frying pan, which she occasionally weighed with her hand.

Chen Guangyuan stared blankly at the woman before him. Just now, she clearly had nothing in her hands, so where did these bizarre items co from?

Let’s rewind ten minutes earlier.

Chen Guangyuan was grinning sinisterly as he approached Su Xiaoxiao. She imdiately opened the ga store and casually swiped a special offer on a frying pan and a kitchen knife, along with a piece of rope.

Then the eerie scene just now unfolded.

Back to the matter at hand.

Su Xiaoxiao swung the frying pan in her hand, thumping it against Chen Guangyuan’s head, making his ears buzz and his whole person vibrate with the pan’s frequency.

"Speak, who are you exactly? What do you want? Dare to lie, and I’ll bash you to death."

Chen Guangyuan, dizzy from the blow, spilled the truth like bamboo shoots being poured out of a tube.

It turned out he was no Great Immortal; he was practically illiterate.

Years ago, when his family was poor, he begged past a temple.

The Temple Master took him in out of kindness, but he stole the master’s clothes and money at night and fled.

After that, he had no decent livelihood, so he wore the master’s clothes and, with two rogue accomplices, engaged in scamming.

He pretended to be a Great Immortal, while the other two played his disciples, pretending to help people with feng shui and facial reading to scam money.

Once, a couple approached him, hoping he could cure their simple-minded daughter.

The silly girl wasn’t bright, but she was very pretty.

Chen Guangyuan was imdiately lustful.

Under the cover of night, he took the girl away to tornt her, and later, fearing exposure, he and the others violated the girl before selling her to an old bachelor in the mountains.

They sold her for a full hundred and fifty yuan.

After tasting the profits, the three began scouring for suitable girls under the pretense of being Great Immortals, privately selling them for profit.

Later, due to strict national crackdowns, they laid low for a while.

This ti, they happened upon Wang Chunlan by chance, and seeing how beautiful Su Xiaoxiao was, their thoughts turned sinister again.

Su Xiaoxiao never imagined that this so-called Demi Immortal was such a scumbag. She imdiately kicked him in the side, flipping him onto the ground.

In modern tis, she had read nurous news stories about won and children being trafficked, and now, facing a live trafficker, she couldn’t hold back.

Especially hearing the events he confessed, the more she thought about it, the angrier she got, and she imdiately picked Chen Guangyuan up and kicked and hit him.

By the ti she felt she had vented enough, Chen Guangyuan was unconscious again, his cheeks swollen like a pig’s head.

Su Xiaoxiao disdainfully kicked him aside and tied him securely with the rope.

Just as she finished tying, soone knocked on the door.

"Little sister, what are you doing up so late?"

Su Fusheng’s voice ca from the door. Su Xiaoxiao kicked Chen Guangyuan again and went to open the door, "Second brother, co in, I have sothing to tell you."

Upon hearing this, Su Fusheng followed her in with a puzzled look. Upon seeing soone lying on the ground, he was shocked and nearly scread.

Su Xiaoxiao quickly covered his mouth, "Brother, keep it down."

"Who is this person?"

Su Fusheng asked in confusion, staring at the man on the ground with a bruised and swollen face, unrecognizable.

"Brother, take a closer look."

Su Xiaoxiao shined the candle on Chen Guangyuan’s face.

"Damn, during the day I already thought this damn thing didn’t look like anything good, and now he cos to your room in the middle of the night, I’ll beat this bastard to death."

Su Fusheng cursed and kicked him several tis.

He was strong, and the recently unconscious Chen Guangyuan was once again kicked awake.

Watching him starting to roll his eyes, Su Xiaoxiao quickly intervened, "Brother, stop, you’ll kill him if you keep going."

She felt a little guilty saying this, given how ruthless she had been earlier.

But she couldn’t help it; thinking of those trafficked girls filled her with an uncontrollable rage.

Su Fusheng squatted and gave Chen Guangyuan two more slaps, then spat on his face harshly.

"Now how do we handle this scumbag? Do you want to..."

He made a throat-slitting gesture towards Su Xiaoxiao.

Cold sweat began to drench Su Xiaoxiao, "Second brother, rember we’re in a society governed by law now; kill him and you’ll get shot."

Su Fusheng scratched his head, "I just thought it fit the atmosphere for that line."

Okay, her second brother was quite the jokester.

Su Xiaoxiao glanced at the fallen Chen Guangyuan, "Why don’t we hang him outside, and when it’s light, we’ll take him to the town’s public security bureau."

The two quickly agreed and efficiently hung the man on the big apricot tree in the courtyard. Su Fusheng even thoughtfully stuffed his stinky socks into the man’s mouth, which disgusted Su Xiaoxiao greatly.

Early the next morning, before Su Xiaoxiao had even woken up, a deafening scream sounded from outside.
