Chapter 826: Chapter 825: Picking a Fight Chapter 826: Chapter 825: Picking a Fight Wei Qin’s already gaunt and pale fingers clenched fiercely into a fist, the knuckles turning white, and the greenish veins beneath his pallid skin were striking.

Little Wang wanted to help, but first, he was concerned about Tang Qian’s status, and second, he knew that Wei Qin was not in good shape.

At this mont, all he could do was to stay by Wei Qin’s side. A child getting hit might not be a big deal, but Wei Qin was just too fragile. If anything serious happened, no one could bear the responsibility.

“Wei Qin, deep breaths, don’t worry!” Little Wang comforted softly.

Wei Qin gave a bitter smile. He wasn’t worried, he was just heartbroken. Even his secretary knew about his health, but Tang Qian, his mother, had long left him behind.

It was laughable.

Wei Qin eased his breathing bit by bit, struggling to look at the vague figure approaching in the distance before he allowed himself to close his eyes in relief.

“Ouch! It hurts… Stop hitting, Yu Yiji! Yu Yiji is scared of pain.” Yu Yiji, the little kid, was crying loudly from being hit by branches, dodging and hiding, his voice filled with boundless grievance, attracting all the nearby children.

Jiang Yang stood in front protecting Yu Yiji, intending to hide behind Wei Qin, but realizing Wei Qin’s frailty and how he sotis gasped for breath, he stopped his advancing steps.

He just stood there, letting the branches fall on him one by one. He wasn’t afraid of the pain but just glared at Tang Qian with his deep, dark eyes.

Tang Qian, startled by his stare, found herself unable to lower her raised hand. Just then, Wei An shouted loudly beside her, “Mom, hit him hard, hit him hard! He was glaring at you just now!”

“Beat him to death—”

Wei An’s provocative voice abruptly stopped, as a series of laborious sounds spilled out of his throat, catching Tang Qian’s attention. She turned her head and nearly lost her soul in fright.

Unbeknownst to her, a crowd had gathered, and Wei An was being lifted off the ground by Zuo Xinyao, who was choking him. Wei An’s feet dangled as he struggled like soone drowning. Zuo Xinyao was applying a lot of force, showing no rcy, turning Wei An’s face from red to blue, close to suffocating.

Zuo Xinyao was always soone no one dared to provoke in the courtyard, not because of fear of the Zuo Family’s power but because of the fear of him. After that incident and his discharge from the military, he had beco even more ominous and frightening.

He walked around without speaking, his eyes unsettling anyone he looked at. Initially, he didn’t even spare a teenage girl; no one knew what he was incapable of!

Lately, he had been inseparable from a rascal from the Huo Family, thus increasing the number of people who feared him from behind. After all, one was evil to the bone, and the other on the surface, and together they were bad from top to bottom, inside out.

Most people only chose to curry favor and truly, no one dared to offend the two.

“What are you doing? Let go, let go now.” Tang Qian, frantic, lunged forward, but was stopped by Huo Kewei, who put his hand out.

“Aunt Tang! What are you doing?” Huo Kewei looked at Tang Qian with a smile that was not quite a smile, easily holding her back, “Calm down, look at this temper of yours, it’s really embarrassing.”

He was better off not smiling, but his smile now was eerily vicious, clearly up to no good.

For many years, no one had dared to call Tang Qian embarrassing to her face. But now, with her son in soone else’s hands, despite her reluctance, she could only endure it.
