Chapter 634: Chapter 634: For Her Sake_1 Chapter 634: Chapter 634: For Her Sake_1 Ying Jiuming was at a loss for words, only managing to react after a mont. He found himself increasingly fond of Jiang Nanfei and her siblings. Their discernnt, knowledge, and judgent were impressive. Most importantly, they shared his opinions, which was just perfect!

“Right! Huo Beijiang asked last night to arrange for soone to bring you guys ho. When are you planning to leave? I’ll have soone co pick you up from the hotel.” In reality, Huo Beijiang didn’t ask him kindly, but rather threatened him with a fist.

This jerk never politely asked anybody for anything.

“No need, we’ll go back on our own. It seems like you’re quite busy, it’s convenient to take a bus back from the provincial city.”

“Absolutely not! I already agreed to it. If I don’t follow through, wouldn’t that make dishonest?”

“Well… then thank you! We’ll plan to go back at one in the afternoon.”

“Alright! It’s settled then! Be careful on your way back to the hotel, I won’t see you off.”

Ying Jiuming was indeed busy, cases piling up daily and keeping him constantly on his toes. He had to rush off after scheduling a ti, as already three groups of people had co to see him.

The police station was just across from the small hotel, taking Jiang Nanfei and her siblings about ten minutes to walk back. After arriving at the hotel, Nan Fei left Jiang Yang with Zhuanzhuan, and headed to the supermarket to buy so nutritional supplents and tea before heading to Nan Da University according to the address provided by Dai Jinhai.

Nan Da University, faculty and staff dormitories—

Dai Jinhai was fast, first responding to the Imperial City’s side, and then handling the paperwork at Nan Da’s end. Since it was sumr break, he skipped the process of informing students. After busily finalizing everything, he realized he hadn’t seen Old Mi in two days.

This was unusual.

Usually, he and Old Mi would see each other every day, either discussing painting or playing chess. If he didn’t go to Old Mi, Old Mi would co to him.

Noticing sothing was off, Dai Jinhai packed his things more quickly, hoping to visit Old Mi before lunch, treat him to a drink and say goodbye to his old friend.

Old Mi’s house wasn’t far from Dai Jinhai’s, separated by just two households. At the mont, the atmosphere in Old Mi’s yard was tense. His usually absent son and daughter-in-law were both present. The son was silent, and his daughter-in-law, Li Guoying, had red eyes, her face full of resentnt.

“Dad, please, I beg you!” The resentnt on her face beca clearer, obviously extrely unhappy with her father-in-law.

“Zhen Zhen is our only daughter and your only granddaughter. How can you be so biased?” Li Guoying seed respectful on the surface, but her words were far from pleasant, hardly respectful at all.

“When Zhen Zhen didn’t like painting, you forced her to learn. Now that she likes it, you’re holding her back, ruining her future. Is that any way to act as a grandfather?”

Mi Yuezhen hid behind Li Guoying, afraid to see Old Mi’s expression.

She had brought her parents here because she had no other choice!

“I’m doing this for her own good.” Old Mi was so angry that he was almost out of breath, he couldn’t believe that his once beloved granddaughter could do such a thing. His disappointnt was beyond words, and he felt greater sha than ever.

His life’s wisdom had been ruined, a disgrace in his later years.

“That’s not for Zhen Zhen’s good.” Li Guoying talked more and more, venting all the dissatisfaction with her father-in-law at once.

PS: I broke my promise, go ahead, send the blades everyone!
