Chapter 1990: Chapter 2009: The Son-in-law Arrives (Part 3)

Ning Di looked speechless, thinking his boss deserved it.

“Forget it, if it’s gone, it’s gone!” Huo Beijiang was completely unconcerned, “The Special Action Departnt now is different from before. Before, we could find loopholes to exploit. Now that my wife is in charge of the Special Action Departnt, she’ll definitely make it airtight.”

Huo Beijiang never underestimated his wife’s abilities; he was very certain that she would make the influence and power of the Special Action Departnt unprecedentedly strong. In terms of intelligence, everyone would have to make concessions. Given that the future could be anticipated, stepping back in advance was a good thing.

Huo Beijiang finished speaking with a look of pride on his face, “No wonder she’s my wife, she’s just amazing.”

Ning Di couldn’t bear to look anymore.

“By the way! Your uncle and aunt want you to co ho tomorrow.”

At this, Huo Beijiang imdiately perked up, “Is that bastard Yu Fengji coming to visit?”

“Yes!”

“Can Little Deer and the others arrive by tomorrow?”

“They’re expected to arrive tonight.”

“Good, let them delay reporting back for now. Tomorrow, bring so people to block the door to my house and prevent Yu Fengji from coming in.” Huo Beijiang thought for a mont, then personally took Ning Di back to his office to call Huo Kewei. The two connived over the phone, discussing how to make things difficult for Yu Fengji tomorrow.

They hung up only when they were sure the plan was foolproof.

“Boss, isn’t this a bad idea? Your wife is going back with you tomorrow; she’ll definitely find out. Aren’t you afraid she’ll get angry? I’ve heard she admires Yu Fengji a lot.” Ning Di felt his boss was recklessly courting disaster.

He didn’t even know what to say. If one day they really angered his wife, there’d be no place for him to cry.

“Hmph!” Huo Beijiang said unhappily, “Yu Fengji is so insidious. If I don’t do this, your sister-in-law will be the one getting angry!”

Ning Di thought to himself, no way! His sister-in-law wouldn’t get mad! He had seen it with his own eyes; his sister-in-law spoke with nothing but admiration for Yu Fengji.

“I’ve been waiting for this day.” Huo Beijiang’s eyes flashed with a ferocious light, “I’ve long said this bastard is insidious and deceitful, dark-hearted and despicable, but my wife wouldn’t believe it. Now she’ll have to believe it, right!”

“Boss, I hope you won’t regret it.”

Huo Beijiang was displeased, so Ning Di wisely chose to keep quiet.

That evening, when Huo Beijiang got ho from work, he entered the door to find his wife sitting on the couch with her arms crossed, silently giving him a cold stare.

“Wifey, what’s wrong? Is soone bullying you?” Huo Beijiang looked at her with a face full of heartache.

“Who do you think could bully now?” Nan Fei retorted.

After thinking carefully, Huo Beijiang realized that indeed no one could bully his wife. If anyone tried, Little Deer’s crew could take them out. So, he shook his head, “No one, whoever dares to bully you will be dealt with by .”

“Oh really? So why do I feel like you’re the one bullying ?”

“Uh…” This was awkward, his wife must have figured it out, so Huo Beijiang feigned ignorance, placed the groceries he was carrying in the kitchen, took off his coat, and squeezed onto the couch where Nan Fei was sitting. Affectionately, he pulled Nan Fei into his arms and sat her on his lap.

“Wifey, I missed you so much.”

Nan Fei rolled her eyes at him, as if unaware that they’d been apart for a long ti! In reality, they had just left the house together that morning, one for school and the other for work. She had heard Ning Di complain more than once that Huo Beijiang had been showing up late lately.

So, she planned to have soone move back to the barracks to live, to avoid the daily back-and-forth, which wasted so much ti on the road.
