Chapter 1976: Chapter 1995: An Unexpected Delight (Part 1)

“Hello, comrades.” Huo Beijiang returned the salute and then said, “At ease, let introduce, this is my wife, Jiang Nanfei. You are all classmates, so please take good care of each other in the future.”

There was a mont of silence at the school entrance, followed by a unanimous response.

“Yes, Major General, we assure you we’ll complete the task.”

“You all worked hard.”

“Not at all, serving the people is our duty.”

Nan Fei felt her whole body trembling, unsure whether to cover her face and pretend not to know Huo Beijiang or to just beat him up right there.

Monkey got off the car behind them, stunned by the scene at the entrance. Although he didn’t like Huo Beijiang, he had to admire him. To be a man to this level is invincible.

Who would dare to pursue Director Jiang at school later?

Let alone bully or isolate her.

Monkey stroked his chin, realizing that he and Huo Beijiang actually aid for the sa goal. He ca to protect the Director, and anyone trying to get close to her was considered a threat.

Huo Beijiang was nipping the issue in the bud; it was perfect!

“Huo Beijiang!” Nan Fei gritted her teeth and shouted, “Leave quickly, if I ever let you bring to school again, I’ll write ‘Jiang Nanfei’ backwards!”

“Honey, don’t be mad. I’m doing this for your good. What if so blind fool tries to bully you?”

Monkey didn’t like hearing this, “Major General Huo, are you treating as decoration?” Their Special Action Departnt wasn’t here to just sit and eat. After waiting twenty years, they finally hoped for a fifth leader. If he couldn’t protect her well, he’d rather be done for.

Huo Beijiang glanced him up and down, the disdain in his eyes almost overflowing, “You guys? Psh! Really not reassuring.”

Monkey: “…” Well, who let them have a criminal record!

Nan Fei was displeased, “Beijiang, belittling Monkey is like belittling .”

“Dare I! Don’t speak nonsense, even if I belittle myself, I can’t belittle you.” Huo Beijiang imdiately changed his stance, secretly regretting his carelessness now that his wife is the head of the Special Action Departnt. He had to give her due respect.

“Alright, stop babbling, if you don’t leave, you’ll really be late, careful not to anger Chief Xi.”

Though Huo Beijiang wasn’t afraid of Xi Liqun, provoking him continuously wasn’t good either, it could raise his blood pressure.

“Goodbye, honey. I will eat at the military ss today, so I can’t join you for dinner. Rember to eat well yourself.”

“Got it!” Nan Fei forced him into the car, “Hurry up, don’t delay.”

Huo Beijiang finally drove away reluctantly. After he left, Nan Fei noticed Monkey had disappeared at so point too. Scanning the crowd, she finally spotted the inconspicuous Monkey.

It was her good hearing that allowed her to precisely identify targets in the crowd; otherwise, anyone else wouldn’t be able to find him.

Nan Fei was pleased with this ability. When she previously ntioned going back to school for classes in the eting room, Ji Changfeng and the others strongly demanded at least four field personnel to be arranged by the Special Action Departnt to ensure her safety.

Nan Fei almost went crazy hearing this.

She was going to school for classes, a military school no less, not abroad, and certainly not on a mission, why the need for special bodyguards?

After she refused, Ji Changfeng and others tirelessly caused trouble, stubbornly refusing to agree, and the two sides negotiated for over half a month. Eventually, only one person—Monkey—was arranged to be responsible for her safety.
