The crowd in the private room couldn’t help but gasp.

Ding ichen is truly disgusting. I’ve never seen soone so revolting and vicious. Even Nan Fei couldn’t help but mutter, "How can Ding ichen be like this? It’s too malicious!" Not even sparing soone who’s already dead, compared to her, Zhuanzhuan seems kind and cute.

"Damn it, I want to kill her." Fu Xinwu couldn’t help but swear, being pulled back into his seat by Nan Fei.

"Dong Feng’s death is actually related to Shen Zian," Ji Yuanjie apologized as he glanced at Huo Kewei and Yin Nan, explaining: "Dong Feng was Shen Zian’s apprentice, she held him in high regard back then, and they had a close relationship."

"So she not only killed Shen Zian but also wants to kill those she cared for while alive."

"Ding ichen!"

Yin Nan squinted his eyes in recollection, "At the ti, Shen Zian was indeed very good to Dong Feng, just as much as to Shen Yu. Back then, Ding ichen was like a pitiful little thing, clinging to Shen Zian whenever she had nothing to do. If they went out to play without her, she would cry for a long ti. Neither Dong Feng nor Shen Yu liked Ding ichen, and since both were young, little more than boys, they didn’t know how to hide their emotions. Moreover, given their status, there was no need to hide their feelings. So their dislike was very apparent, and it seems Ding ichen had already borne a grudge against them by then."

Thinking about it is truly chilling!

Two people who disliked her both t tragic ends. Although Shen Yu deserved it, Shen Yu in his youth was not at all what he beca later; back then, the young Shen Yu was still the pride of the Shen Family. Could soone who was compared with ng Fan as the twin stars of the Northern Military District be that different?

Later, Shen Yu gradually changed, beca arrogant, couldn’t tolerate any dissent, and his thods grew increasingly extre. Eventually, this led to disaster, dragging the Shen Family down with him, leading them to an unrecoverable downfall.

They didn’t even know when Shen Yu had beco like this; only upon careful reflection now did they realize that he began changing after Shen Zian’s death. After Shen Zian passed away, Shen Yu was deeply saddened and fell seriously ill. Ding ichen cared for Shen Yu tirelessly, not uttering a single complaint despite being driven away several tis. She received a lot of praise, with everyone saying she was grateful and repaid her kindness.

But with ti and upon reflection, it turns out that wasn’t the case at all. Shen Yu was young at the ti, rebellious, his character hadn’t solidified, and his mindset was immature, making him very susceptible to deliberate manipulation. Plus, experiencing the death of a close kin was a severe blow, so being deliberately led astray by Ding ichen wasn’t surprising at all.

Yin Nan and Ji Yuanjie exchanged glances, seeing extrely complex emotions in each other’s eyes.

Perhaps they all misled Shen Yu; his later changes were not deserved, not self-inflicted. Behind everything, there was a pair of evil hands deliberately manipulating. And they, the adults, failed to notice it at all, making them foolishly unaware, frustrating them beyond asure.

Ji Yuanjie slamd his fist onto the table fiercely, scattering the neatly placed bowls and chopsticks chaotically.

"Damn it, I truly deserve to die! I’m so useless." Ji Yuanjie almost broke down, "It’s my fault, I let down An An, I didn’t take good care of her nephew, and still haven’t avenged her; I’m unworthy of being her friend."
