Capítulo 1863: Chapter 1881: Ding ichen (Part 3)
The summary concludes that the Su family and ng family have been keeping a low profile for the past decade, going unnoticed, which has led so to act recklessly.
Su Hai stroked his chin, “So, it’s better to be a little arrogant.”
Su Huaian muttered softly, “The Shen family was arrogant, and what happened?” He preferred keeping a low profile.
Upon hearing this, Su Hai glanced at his older nephew with a trace of displeasure in his eyes, though it wasn’t directed at him. His feelings were such that no one but himself could comprehend them.
He admired Shen Zian’s arrogance and wished she could remain that way forever, but unfortunately…
Su Hai paused his fingers, reining in his wandering thoughts. Lately, he often found his mind drifting, unbidden mories from the past, long sealed away, resurfaced vividly before him.
Though he had ostensibly forgotten them, he prided himself on his ability to control emotions, confident that no one could unsettle him. Yet he sensed sothing had transpired over the past few days.
“Uncle, what are you thinking?” Su Huaian’s words pulled Su Hai back to reality.
“It’s nothing,” Su Hai said with a soft cough, turning to ask the secretary, “Have the people from the Special Action Departnt appeared?”
“They have.” The secretary’s eyes glead, “Huo Beijiang turned around and counterattacked, forcing them to step in and clean up the ss. However, the police were firm this ti and refused to hand over the case. It wasn’t until Ji Changfeng arrived that they were sent away.”
“Ji Changfeng hasn’t been very effective either. It’s been so many years, and he still hasn’t managed to completely subdue the Special Action Departnt.” Su Hai’s tone carried a hint of disdain toward Ji Changfeng, “Everything happening now stems from the Special Action Departnt’s internal strife dragging others down.”
“Should we continue investigating?” The secretary asked uncertainly, “I see that Huo Beijiang and Yin Nan are teaming up this ti, enough to root out the ones behind this.”
“Do you know who is behind this?” Su Hai asked coldly.
“It’s Ji Wan.”
“Ji Wan is just a small fry.” Su Hai’s eyes suddenly narrowed, flashing with a cold murderous intent, “It’s Ding ichen.”
“What?” The secretary was startled. He never expected to hear Ding ichen’s na, “Isn’t Ding ichen Xie Yibin’s wife? What’s her connection to the Special Action Departnt?”
Su Hai was silent for a mont. It took him years of investigation to uncover the truth. No one imagined the seemingly weak and gentle Ding ichen was the deepest-infiltrated mber of the Special Action Departnt.
If it weren’t for Ding ichen, he wouldn’t have personally returned this ti.
Su Huaian was also confused, “Isn’t Ding ichen… isn’t she Shen Zian’s cousin? She was always fostered at the Shen family. I rember Shen Zian took good care of Ding ichen, treating her kindly. Ding ichen was known to be frail but had a good temperant, endearing her to people.”
Having followed Su Hai since childhood, Su Huaian knew that Su Hai was Shen Zian’s arch-enemy, so he was well-acquainted with Shen Zian. Besides, who didn’t know of Shen Zian back then? Who didn’t admire Shen Zian?
Who could resist idolizing her?
At that ti, Su Huaian was just a little kid, thinking that Shen Zian was his uncle’s mortal enemy and thus his own, but he still felt a sense of admiration for her deep down. To learn that Ding ichen was actually in the Special Action Departnt, orchestrating everything behind the scenes?
