Whoever believes it will be in trouble. She’s just a prisoner now, at a dead end and knowing she’s finished, trying to take soone down with her before she dies. Such a person is desperate and cannot stand to see others doing well.
"Sister-in-law, what’s wrong? Are you okay?" As soon as Nan Fei ca out, Ning Di noticed sothing was off, turned his head displeased towards Yu Fengji, and whispered, "What exactly did Leng Peixi say to my sister-in-law in there? She seems distracted?"
Yu Fengji shook his head, "You know how it is, just the sa old talk. I stopped her when she tried to say more."
"What about after coming out?" Ning Di suddenly felt a jolt, feeling like he had overlooked sothing.
"We just ca out, so for now, I don’t know." Yu Fengji said as he motioned for Chang Bin, "Go ask Little Wang from the interrogation room just now, and see what exactly Leng Peixi said after we left. Also, check the surveillance to see if there were any oversights."
"Okay!"
Chang Bin hurried away.
Ning Di gestured for Nan Fei to sit and rest for a mont to make sure everything was fine before leaving. He had already made an appointnt with a doctor at the hospital and would head over shortly.
Nan Fei said nothing, holding a cup of plain water in her hands, her mind still lingering on her earlier thoughts. The noisy sounds around her were too loud, giving her a headache. But she was not disheartened, earnestly listening to see if she could pick out Leng Peixi’s location from the myriad of voices.
Finally, Leng Peixi’s voice once again reached her ears. She recognized it at once, but only heard Leng Peixi say one sentence.
"I’m willing to tell you everything you want to know."
Then there was a flurry of sounds, as if coming from a very distant place.
Nan Fei moved her neck, observing from different directions, estimating that all the interrogation rooms and holding areas here were definitely specially constructed. At least they were different from the residential buildings outside.
That’s why it was more difficult for her to listen than it would be outside.
While Nan Fei was intently listening, Ning Di gave Yu Fengji a look, and the two faced away from Nan Fei. Ning Di spread his hands, nodding firmly to show he wasn’t joking.
Yu Fengji’s expression was now indescribable; if this was true, how much confidential information had Jiang Nanfei overheard since entering their police station? He didn’t dare think deeply about it, having such a person in the station ant there were no secrets, and no one dared speak freely.
Even though she couldn’t see, it made people feel transparent before her.
Seeing that he understood, Ning Di continued writing on the paper: "I suspect that Leng Peixi must have taken advantage of everyone’s unawareness to deliberately say things ant to sow discord."
Yu Fengji thought about the brief pause in Jiang Nanfei’s footsteps when they walked out of the interrogation room, and wrote: "Very likely."
