Chapter 1562: Chapter 1581: Unqualified

Nan Fei felt uneasy. Even though she was being carried on his back, she stubbornly refused to wrap her arms around his neck, and her body was rigid.

Huo Beijiang’s mouth curled into a charming arc. He noticed his wife’s little mood but said nothing, walking back through nurous checkpoints amidst the shocked gazes of countless people.

His wife was uncooperative, but he had his ways.

Being carried on his back, Nan Fei couldn’t help but recall the last ti he carried her in their hotown in Qi Li Town. At that ti, he was drunk, yet he had a serious deanor, and even her gloomy mood had improved significantly.

“No, that’s not right!” Huo Beijiang suddenly halted, his tone serious.

“What’s wrong?”

“I should be carrying you in a princess hold!” Huo Beijiang was full of regret, “Carrying on the back isn’t good, holding you is better!”

He was tall, muscular, and had smooth lines, easily carrying Nan Fei on his back. Now, wanting to hold her, he could perform the high difficulty action right in the air without needing to put her down.

Nan Fei rembered the terrifying experience last ti when he drunkenly threw her over his shoulder, and she clung tightly to Huo Beijiang’s neck, burying her face in his neck and refusing to lift her head.

“Don’t move, just carry on your back.” Nan Fei’s face was pressed against the skin of his shoulder, her warm breath passing through the thin layer of clothing, blowing on his sensitive skin, making Huo Beijiang shiver slightly, as all the heat in his body rushed to one place.

Huo Beijiang’s eyes changed, a dark fla seed to leap in his deep eyes. They were married, and he was at a vigorous age, how could he not have needs. Earlier, with his wife not around, he had to hold back his needs.

Now that his wife was here by his side, no man could resist.

Huo Beijiang slightly tilted his head, his gaze falling on Nan Fei’s lightly closed eyes, and the fire in his heart seed to be doused with cold water, instantly extinguishing.

“Why aren’t you walking?” Nan Fei was still uncomfortable with not being able to see, often unaware of what was happening.

“I’ll walk, let’s go now.”

Huo Beijiang’s thin lips moved slightly, revealing a bitter smile, as he carried Nan Fei step by step back ho. He walked slowly, wishing that the road could continue forever, to walk till the end of ti, till their hair turned gray.

Nan Fei quietly lay on his back, her arms still holding his neck in the sa position as before. A strong sense of reluctance rose in her heart, leaving her feeling sowhat defeated, silently despising herself for a mont. Even though she had decided that since they’d already divorced, and she couldn’t see anymore, they might as well have nothing to do with each other from now on.

After all, he was focused on his missions, and she just needed to live her life well.

But why was she still moved by him? As soon as he acted spoiled, she had no way to resist.

Even though it was under threat, Nan Fei knew in her heart that it was just an excuse for herself!

She couldn’t really stop loving him, but she knew clearly she wasn’t a qualified wife. Though they were married, they still lived separately. Bei Jiang had responsibilities and tasks, leaving no ti to build their little ho.

He wasn’t a perfect husband. At tis when she needed him most, he wasn’t by her side. But honestly asking herself, was she a good wife? The answer was certainly no. Nan Fei admitted she wasn’t a good wife either.

She hadn’t fulfilled even a day’s responsibility as a wife; their marriage felt like kids playing house. Maybe due to the lack of ceremony or blessings, their marriage was a mistake from the start.
