Without joy, anger, sorrow, or pleasure, without pain or love, though she couldn’t bear to let go.

Yet the darkness brought by her blindness would tornt her forever; she would no longer see the blue sky and white clouds, no longer be able to paint, pursue her dreams, or beco a soldier. Most importantly, she would never see Bei Jiang again.

Nan Fei felt an overwhelming fear, scared that when Bei Jiang returned, she would not be able to see him.

What right did a blind Jiang Nanfei have to stand by his side or claim the matriarch position of the Huo Family?

Her agony was being eaten away by monuntal anxiety, torturing her. Ironically, her experiences from her past life and the harm her family caused her in this life indeed made her grow, beco stronger; so strong she could bear the panic and anguish.

She could accept it all with a calm deanor.

Nan Fei spread her palm, gazing at the intricate lines on her fair hand, a touch of irony lurking in her smile.

"Auntie? Have you been feeling unwell lately? Should I take you to the hospital for a check-up? I’ve noticed you look pale," Fu Xinwu deliberately chuckled, his tone slightly frivolous, "Tell , have you forgotten to take your vitamins? No wonder you look so pale!"

"I have!" Nan Fei said, taking out several bottles of vitamins from her backpack, each different. "I’ve been taking them daily."

Fu Xinwu quietly breathed a sigh of relief; that’s good, as long as she’s taking them. Hopefully, they’ll work. Huo Kewei is such a waste, having been to M country for so long without any news. How is the doctor being contacted?

Truly useless.

Nan Fei’s ears twitched slightly as she heard soone calling her from afar. If she listened carefully, she could also hear soone calling for Fu Xinwu.

"Do you hear soone looking for you?"

Fu Xinwu shook his head blankly, "No!"

"Who’s looking for and where?" she asked while standing up to take a look around, only to see everyone deeply engrossed with their books, then she sat down, disappointed.

Nan Fei closed her eyes and concentrated on listening. In the dark world, her hearing was magnified countless tis, with sounds gradually becoming clearer by her ears—the noise of registering library cards on the first floor, people walking outside the library, sounds of playing ball, training sounds, and even the sweet murmurings of lovebirds.

Countless scenes flashed through her mind like a slideshow, "Seems like they’re by your classroom." She said, her expression clouded with confusion.

How could that be?

"How’s that possible?" Fu Xinwu exaggerated, "Are you joking, Nan Fei? Do you know how far away our classroom is from the library? Our dical Faculty is separated from yours by a whole different specialty!"

"Maybe I heard wrong," Nan Fei shook her head.

Suddenly, frantic footsteps ca running up from the first-floor staircase, soon reaching the second floor. The loud steps disturbed the readers. The whole second floor looked up in annoyance towards the staircase.

They all disapproved of the person who had just run up.

It was Chen Yuanyuan. As soon as she saw Nan Fei sitting in the corner, she rushed over as if seeing a savior.

"Jiang Nanfei, soone’s looking for you outside, co quick, follow ."

"Who is it?" Nan Fei stumbled to her feet, pulled into an unsteady walk.

Fu Xinwu quickly grabbed his books and followed.

"It’s your dad and your cousin. They’re waiting at the school entrance; lots of people have gathered around. You better hurry," Chen Yuanyuan urged, sweating even in the cold winter.

Upon hearing it was Jiang Dechun and Wang Yunyun, Nan Fei knew they ca with ill intentions; she was also sure that Zhuanzhuan was behind it. Her face grew cold, her brows furrowed slightly, as a surge of disgust filled her heart.

She had hidden herself away, yet they still wouldn’t leave her be. Jiang Zhuanzhuan!

If that was the case, then she would no longer hold back.
