Chapter 1247: Chapter 1266: Awakening

She had understood her sister’s personality since childhood and could say she had a detailed grasp of her sister’s weaknesses, ensuring she would never make errors.

“Do you… want so water?” the nurse asked nervously.

Zhuanzhuan did not respond for a while and fell back into a deep sleep.

When she opened her eyes the next day, her condition had noticeably improved. Her vision was no longer blurry, but once the anesthesia wore off, the pain from the wound in her abdon was unbearable, leaving her without the strength even to move. She looked around the room, but there was no one there. As she felt a wave of disappointnt, the door to the room was pushed open from the outside; Zhuanzhuan’s eyes lit up as she looked over.

It was Leng Tianqi.

Their gazes t in the air, Zhuanzhuan’s eyes evidently filled with disappointnt, which quickly turned into resentnt and hostility.

Leng Tianqi shuddered, holding a fruit basket and approaching the bed with a conciliatory smile. He placed the basket on the bedside table before hesitantly taking a seat in the chair by the bed.

“What are you doing here?” Zhuanzhuan asked scornfully.

The person she wanted to see hadn’t co, yet the person she didn’t want to see always seed to show up to annoy her.

“I ca to see you,” Leng Tianqi said in a placating tone. “You’ve suffered such a serious injury you almost died. I waited for you all day yesterday and didn’t get any news until this morning from a teacher.”

Zhuanzhuan glanced coldly at Leng Tianqi.

“Didn’t your sister co to see you? How could she do this? You are her own sister; it’s just too heartless. Has she lost all conscience?” Leng Tianqi spoke indignantly and with irritation.

“It’s just too much, considering how good you’ve been to Jiang Nanfei. I thought only our family had such problems.”

The Leng family was complicated, with frequent struggles for power where paying with one’s life for failure was not uncommon. If she ever ca into power, she was determined to be the first to kill Leng Ran.

“Shut your mouth,” Zhuanzhuan snapped.

Leng Tianqi looked hurt. “Jiang Zhuanzhuan, how can you not recognize good intentions? I’m talking to you as a friend. Look at yourself now; you and Jiang Nanfei are no longer in the sa world. She is a brilliant military school student with a bright future, while you? You’ve co to Dark Street, and your path can only grow darker. The paths you and your sister are taking are already entirely divergent.”

She might not be as intelligent as Leng Ran, but sotis she saw things more clearly than anyone else.

It really made no sense; Jiang Zhuanzhuan was thriving in Dark Street and had even earned her aunt’s favor. Why would she still think about returning to Jiang Nanfei’s side? Was she really that good? If it were her, she would stay as far away as possible.

Of course, only by distancing herself from Jiang Nanfei could Jiang Zhuanzhuan truly integrate into Dark Street and stand truly with her.

“Mind your own business,” Zhuanzhuan scoffed. “Just take care of your affairs. You have no right to ddle in my relationship with my sister. If you think you can create divisions like Leng Ran, you’re dreaming.”

She had seen Leng Ran stirring trouble with her sister yesterday and was determined to make him pay.

At this mont, Zhuanzhuan rembered all her disappointnt and resentnt toward Leng Ran. If it weren’t for soone speaking ill to her sister, how could she possibly have distanced herself from her?

“Can I… compare myself to that vile woman Leng Ran?” Leng Tianqi exclaid, eyes wide with anger. “That wretched woman, I’ll kill her soday. Besides, she ran to our aunt last night to complain about us; who knows what vile things she said!”

Zhuanzhuan snorted disdainfully. “She’s delusional if she thinks she can take on my sister and use her; she won’t even know how she’ll die.”
