Chapter 1237: Chapter 1256: Leaving

Everyone left the eting room and, upon reaching the outside of the administrative building, found a thirty-person team led by Lei Hao, Xing Zhou, and Lin Yizhong already prepared and ready to depart at any mont.

All the senior officers were escorted to the door and after saluting each other, the team boarded the helicopter with exceptional agility and swiftly took off. Huo Beijiang was the last to board the helicopter and, before leaving, he gave instructions to Ning Di and Yu Xiaoxiao, who were staying behind.

In his absence as the division commander, the daily operations of the 36th Division were overseen by the chief of staff and the deputy division commander. Leaving Ning Di and Yu Xiaoxiao behind was not only for the division’s affairs but also for personal reasons.

Lu Jin, as Huo Beijiang’s bodyguard, went with him, and the two remaining had even more matters to attend to. The mission was so sudden that he didn’t even have ti to grab a change of clothes.

All his preparations had been made ready by the Southeast Military Region.

Departing from here, the plane would land on the fleet docked at Tianjin Port Dock and imdiately set sail for Kannaya.

Nan Fei didn’t sleep much that afternoon, waking up in a daze, and then busied herself cleaning with Jiang Yang. The house had been unoccupied for two months and was both dirty and ssy. They kept at it until dark, and the results were incredibly satisfying.

The windows shone and the place was clean and tidy.

“Goodness! I’m exhausted.” After wiping down the last piece of furniture, Nan Fei, feeling sore all over, collapsed onto the sofa, too tired to even lift a finger. “When I was young, I lived in a small, old bungalow and I dread of living in a high-rise apartnt. Now that I’m in a villa, I realize cleaning can be deadly!”

Jiang was also tired, his little face flushed, as he leaned on the opposite sofa and gave a silly smile, “Sister Nan Fei, let give you a massage.” He bounded over and began to knead her legs with even pressure.

And, surprisingly, it was quite comfortable.

Nan Fei smiled and closed her eyes, “Jiang Yang, how did you learn to massage in just two months? Tell the truth, did you learn because Ying Jiuming had you massage him?”

“No!” Jiang was an honest kid, “It was Ying Jiuming who often massaged , and I learned from that.”

“What?” Nan Fei thought she’d heard wrong.

“He massaged .” Jiang continued working his hands, explaining, “Whenever he needed a favor from , he’d give a massage. He said this was ‘sucking up’ and that it could help achieve goals very easily.”

Nan Fei: “…”

Ying Jiuming, that unreliable person, hadn’t taught good things, but instead taught Jiang Yang how to suck up.

“Sister Nan Fei, does it feel good?” Jiang’s eyes sparkled, his face full of hopeful expectation.

“Yes! It feels wonderful.” Nan Fei heaped on the praise, saying plenty of nice things and leaving Jiang beaming with delight.

“Ying Jiuming was right, sucking up is really useful. No wonder he would offer to rub my shoulders whenever I didn’t feel like dealing with him.” Jiang had an epiphany.

“Uh…” Had she just corrupted Jiang Yang? But looking into Jiang’s eyes, she found it impossible to voice her misgivings. Besides, his massage was indeed very comfortable! “When the winter break cos and we go ho, you should give mom and dad massages.”

Well, if they were already on the wrong path, there was no turning back.

“Okay!” Jiang nodded eagerly.

“No, I must share this great news with mom and dad.” Nan Fei got up and hurried to make a phone call. She hadn’t been able to phone ho in the two months she was in training! Her parents must be worried by now.
