She was startled and quickly pulled the covers back up.
“Who changed my clothes?”

The playful sunlight danced across his prominent nose, the dense lashes casting a shadow over his masculine features.
That was the sight Nan Fei saw upon erging, and she couldn’t help but be stunned.
Without speaking, his expressionless face seed worlds apart from his usual deanor; even more profound and restrained, charming and elegant. Gone was the usual flamboyance and unruliness.
Huo Beijiang noticed she had co out and lifted an eyebrow, “What is it? Stunned? Only realizing now how handso your man is?”
“Cough cough…” Nan Fei ca back to her senses and glared at him irritably. Barefooted, she padded across the carpet and sat next to Huo Beijiang. She slowly began sipping the nourishing soup from the coffee table.
“Eat more. There’s also your favorite green vegetable nubs.”
“How do you know I like nubs?” Nan Fei asked in surprise.
With one hand propping his chin, he chuckled. “There’s a lot I know!”
“Then guess how I plan to handle Zhuanzhuan’s matter?”
“Zhuanzhuan, huh!” Huo Beijiang’s eyes narrowed dangerously. “With your lack of decisiveness, what can you do? Go along passively! If she explains, you believe her; if she apologizes, you forgive her.” Ah, wife, you’re just too kind-hearted. You’ve suspected it for so long, and yet you drag it out till now.
His brother-in-law’s actions impressed him more. No! It’s because his brother-in-law, deep down, is just like Wei Qin.
But his little wife was not heartless at her core.

“Wrong!” Nan Fei raised her spoon and gently tapped it against the bowl. “I won’t forgive her, never ever.” Her words were directed at Bei Jiang, but also at herself.
She simply couldn’t forget the hurt and suffering from her past life; she might refrain from seeking revenge, but she certainly couldn’t bring herself to forgive.
