Huo Beijiang had asked for Jiang Yang to take a leave of absence because there was no need to go to school during this period. Early in the morning, Huo Beijiang had sothing to do and left directly. Before he left, he had told him to wait at ho for him, and in the afternoon, he would take Jiang Yang to the school to find Sister Nan Fei.
This delighted Jiang Yang beyond words. He moved a small stool outside right after breakfast, propped his chin with his hands, and sat at the door obediently waiting for Huo Beijiang to return.
The sight lted the hearts of several people in the Huo family.
How could there be such a beautiful and well-behaved little boy? To begin with, the Huo family didn’t actually have much of a good impression of Nan Fei. The only reason they didn’t express their opinions was that Bei Jiang had beco too independent, and they couldn’t make decisions for him.
Moreover, Nan Fei was personally chosen by Zhou Yongxian. Although the old master had passed away, Zhou Yongxian was still very much alive. Even though she had a fallout with the Huo family when she was young and had left with Huo Linong to live separately, she was still an elder after all.
No one except the old master dared to say anything against her.
As a result, after Jiang Yang stayed at the Huo family for a day, everyone unanimously changed their minds. Since the little brother was so adorable, they figured that Jiang Nanfei must not be bad either, and they heard she was a painter as well.
At lunchti, Jiang Yang refused to go inside the house to eat. In the end, it was the nanny who had to bring out the bowl of food for him.
In the afternoon, Fu Xinwu finally ca back from school. She didn’t have to wait until the end like the new students, so she returned early. As soon as she entered the house, she saw Jiang Yang sitting at the entrance. Because she was wearing a military green uniform, Jiang Yang initially only saw a green shadow and thought it was Huo Beijiang coming back.
He stood up happily and rushed to greet her.
“Brother-in-law!” Jiang Yang ran to the gate, and as he got closer, realized it wasn’t him, his little face imdiately fell.
“Jiang Yang? Eh! What are you doing here?” Fu Xinwu was actually quite happy to see Jiang Yang and hurried forward to hug him, but the little fellow disdainfully stepped back.

The nanny ca out as well and couldn’t help but laugh, trying to console her, “Xin Wu, don’t be jealous. Little friend Jiang Yang has been waiting since this morning, and he didn’t even have lunch inside the house, just waiting for his brother-in-law to co back!”
Fu Xinwu wrinkled her nose, feeling greatly dissatisfied, “My uncle never received this kind of treatnt before!”
“How did my uncle win over Jiang Yang?” she asked.
The nanny was taken aback by the question, “Ah? Minister Wei doesn’t need to win anyone over, does he? He is excellent and charismatic.”
Fu Xinwu was dumbfounded, “…Auntie, you really are a hidden talent!”
The three of them walked together toward the yard, and midway, Jiang Yang suddenly stopped, turning his head to look to the left side. Sure enough, across the street on the left, he saw the familiar figure.
He had a cool expression on his face, with a slight confusion and bewildernt flashing in his dark eyes.
Fu Xinwu noticed his odd behavior and followed his gaze, only to be startled herself, and quickly saluted, “Minister, you… What are you doing here?”
Wei Fangyi felt rather uncomfortable and said awkwardly, “I… I’m just taking a walk, wandering around!”
Fu Xinwu almost thought she had heard wrong. It was difficult enough to catch sight of Minister Wei in the compound on a regular day; how could he possibly have ti to take a leisurely walk?
