Chapter 1189: Chapter 1188: Discussion

“Yeah! There’s even a photo of Major General Huo in the school’s exhibition room! I’ve heard that in person, he looks even better than his picture.”

“Xiaoxiao, have you t Major General Huo in person?”

Zhuo Xiaoxiao shook her head with regret, “I haven’t t him. I heard he was invited to the opening ceremony, but he had sothing co up at the last minute and didn’t make it.”

“He Shasha, you were selected by the 36th Division; you must have t Major General Huo in person. Tell us, does he look better than his photo?”

He Shasha, the sly one, with her eyes darting around, deliberately pushed Jiang Nanfei forward: “Nan Fei has seen him; ask her.”

Caught in thought, Nan Fei was jolted by the push before she realized they were still discussing Huo Beijiang and couldn’t help but curse soone for always stirring up trouble.

“Nan Fei, I’m really envious that you’ve actually t Major General Huo.”

“Co on, tell us.”

Forced into a corner with He Shasha making trouble in the middle, Nan Fei could only respond, “I have t him, but I think his appearance is just so-so, you’re better off looking at the photo!”

The man himself is a bastard, not only thick-skinned and arrogant but also petty.

Lan Xi leaned opposite Nan Fei, listening silently from the start with a hint of disdain on her face. When she finally heard people discussing Huo Beijiang’s looks, she couldn’t contain herself anymore and snorted, “Humph! Is a high-ranking officer soone you can gossip about behind his back? Don’t forget who you are. Even if you have no sha, please at least respect military discipline and your superiors.”

With that, everyone suddenly fell silent.

Zhuo Xiaoxiao wanted to say sothing but was promptly restrained by Lin Xuan, who whispered a reminder, “Stop it! We really shouldn’t be discussing our superiors behind their back.”

Everyone else realized the sa; although they felt resentful, they indeed shouldn’t be talking about their superiors behind their back. It was only because Major General Huo was so young that they had forgotten.

Lan Xi felt a secret sense of triumph; she had been irritated listening to so many people discussing Brother Huo, and now that she had an excuse, she wasn’t going to let it slide easily.

“And you Jiang Nanfei, you’re even worse.” Lan Xi directed her criticism at Nan Fei, her pointed finger almost touching Nan Fei’s nose.

“You’re just a lowly student, with no rank to speak of, not even formally enlisted or a party mber, and yet you dare to insult a superior behind his back.” Lan Xi was so angry that her chest heaved with indignation, as if Nan Fei had just insulted her own ancestors.

She stepped forward, looking down on Nan Fei with disdain and hissed, “Just wait! The things you said today are enough to earn you a major derit. And I hate people like you the most, those who rely on their good looks and think too much of themselves to even show basic respect to others.”

Lan Xi spat out, “Even if it kills , I won’t stay in the sa dormitory as soone who talks behind people’s backs. You might not be ashad of your disgrace, but I find it disgusting!”

The people inside the bus were all stunned by Lan Xi’s actions; they never expected that soone who usually seed cool and arrogant could have such a sharp tongue.

And was it really necessary to go so far for just a private conversation?

Zhuo Xiaoxiao crossed her arms and sneered, knowing exactly what was going on. On the first day of school, Lan Xi had argued with He Shasha over a bunk, and He Shasha ended up throwing her stuff down from the upper floor. Now Lan Xi had the chance and was taking this opportunity for revenge!

He Shasha was the most incensed, rolling up her sleeves and ready to fight, but was tily stopped by Nan Fei.
