Chapter 457: Chapter 457: Giving Gifts

Leading Xu Biao and his team, they made a round of the entire factory, taking several photos, especially in the processing area. Without affecting the hygiene and operations, they checked everything inside out.

Cheng Su was quite confident in her factory’s processing area and saw Xu Biao and his team nodding to each other with a curve at the corner of their mouths.

"Your company’s sanitary environnt is handled well. As for why there would be a complaint, President Cheng, you still need to seriously investigate whether there really was a quality issue with that batch of goods and also provide us with an investigation report?" Xu Biao said.

Cheng Su replied, "We will definitely do that. Director Xu, our company has been in business for quite so ti now, and although we only make jam, we are ranked highly in the public reputation. Sotis I think, could it be that the larger the tree, the more wind it catches, stirring up resentnt?"

Xu Biao and his team naturally wouldn’t go along with her speculative remarks.

Cheng Su, pretending to have spoken out of turn, said, "Look at , getting all nervous and spouting all sorts of things. Director Xu, don’t bla my blabbering, it’s just that with such an incident, we too are very troubled, and I am thinking about how to explain this to Secretary Zhang and County Chief Ying. Talking about running a conscientious business, yet having an issue with expired food products, am I not slapping myself in the face in front of the Secretary and the County Chief?"

With her words having reached this point, Xu Biao could not continue to feign ignorance saying, "As long as the ins and outs of this matter are thoroughly investigated, the Secretary and the others will surely have a clear understanding."

"Then I’ll take your word as a good on!" Cheng Su’s face broke into a smile.

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, Xu Biao and his team were ready to leave. Cheng Su accompanied them to the door and took a few bags from Zhu Lifen to hand to them, saying, "Director Xu, it’s rare for you to co for an inspection. Try our jam as well; I assure you, it is freshly made, not more than three days old. If there’s any problem, feel free to co to ."

Giving gifts is not allowed!

Xu Biao waved his hands repeatedly, saying sternly, "Comrade Cheng, we are here on official business; how can we accept gifts? No, no, take it back; otherwise, I will have to accuse you of bribery!"

"Oh, Director Xu, how can this be considered a gift? It’s just one pound of jam. Does that two or three yuan really count for much?" Cheng Su wasn’t frightened and said, "Actually, I have a selfish motive. Isn’t it said that we are selling substandard products? You all might as well taste our product and help clear Joy Soon Loy’s na!"

"This..."

"Go on, take it. It’s cold, and you’ve all taken the trouble to co out here." Cheng Su decisively handed the bags to a robust young man standing behind him.

"Well then, just this once, not to happen again!" Director Xu said with a feigned helplessness.

Cheng Su nodded with a smile, then sent them to their car, personally opening the door for them, and waved goodbye.

Once the car disappeared from view, Cheng Su’s smiling face imdiately fell, and she asked Zhu Lifen while walking back, "Has Xiao Ya returned?"

"Just got back, she’s now in the office!"

"And Zhao Da’s people?"

"Not yet, they should be back after noon." Zhu Lifen hurriedly replied.

Cheng Su nodded, instructing, "Don’t bother with them for now. Have soone pull back all the goods from Prosperous Small Departnt Store for !"

"Yes!"

Cheng Su then headed for the office, catching a glimpse of a figure flitting by the business office opposite hers. With her mind preoccupied, she didn’t pay it any further attention.
