Chapter 440: Chapter 440: Buying the Ominous Shop

Luh Kai had long guessed that Cheng Su would buy the shop, so when she said she would purchase it, he wasn’t surprised and simply said, "Won’t you consider it a bit more? Aren’t you afraid at all?"

"Not afraid, this shop has plenty of positive energy." Cheng Su pointed at the sunlight inside the shop and smiled.

Luh Kai raised an eyebrow, "Then I’ll talk to my uncle and let you know when to get ready for the ownership transfer, okay?"

Cheng Su nodded, looked around the shop again, not even missing the attic, and the more she looked, the more satisfied she beca, feeling a lot lighter.

As the two of them walked out of the shop, soone nearby greeted them.

"Hey, are you renting the shop?" That was a middle-aged woman, around forty or fifty years old, with a mysteriously secretive air about her.

"Big sis, what’s up?" Cheng Su asked with a smile.

The woman ca over, glanced into the shop, and said, "Do you know what happened in this shop?" Then she had that look again, as if urging them, ask , ask .

Cheng Su could guess what she wanted to say even with her toes, but she still played along and asked, "What happened?"

"Soone died in this shop." The woman wrapped her hands in her sleeves and said, "The previous owner killed his wife here, oh dear, it was so pitiful, a fine family just fell apart like that."

Sure enough, Cheng Su gave a cooperate oh.

"If you’re renting this shop, you better think it through, this isn’t a joke, soone died, so much negative energy!" The woman asked again, "So, what business do you plan to run?"

Cheng Su sized her up, noticed a long apron on her, and looked back at where she ca from, a place selling stead buns, probably the owner of that stall.

"Alright, we can go now!" Luh Kai ca over.

Cheng Su then said, "Big sis, we’re not renting the shop." She watched as the woman sighed with relief and added, "I’m buying the shop, as for the business, we’ll see what happens!"

Ignoring her shocked face, Cheng Su walked away with Luh Kai.

On the road, Luh Kai asked her what she had discussed with that person, and Cheng Su recounted with a smile, saying, "She was probably trying to suss us out, worried we might steal her business with this shop!"

Luh Kai laughed out loud, "You see, that’s the advantage of a good location, business is sure to thrive in the future."

"May your words co true!" replied Cheng Su with a slight smile.

...

Luh Kai was very efficient in handling matters, and sohow, he quickly arranged for Cheng Su to transfer the ownership and collect the keys.

Cheng Su brought the money, arrived at the relevant departnt as scheduled, and also t Luh Kai’s Uncle Liang Dawan, who dressed modestly and unassumingly. After exchanging pleasantries with Cheng Su, he went straight to business.

The process was completed quickly, money and keys exchanged, only awaiting the final docunts.

"Xiao Cheng, I won’t take up more of your ti, I need to hurry back to take care of the land! Luh Kai will take care of everything here." Liang Dawan put on a red star cap and cheerfully said.

"Yeah, Uncle Liang, go ahead with your work!" Cheng Su hurriedly replied.

"Co over to our place when you’re free, we’ve got plenty of chickens and fish in our orchard!"

Cheng Su was taken aback, then waved her hand.

Liang Dawan chatted with Luh Kai for a bit, Cheng Su vaguely heard words like aunt and settling down, to which Luh Kai nodded like a pecking chicken.

Once Liang Dawan had left, Luh Kai helplessly spread his hands to Cheng Su, "Nothing I can do, my uncle just listens to my aunt, he’s beco as naggy as she is!"

"Those who nag you care about you!" said Cheng Su with a laugh, a hint of envy in her eyes.

She was an orphan in her previous life, without anyone to nag at her, and in this life, thinking of that stepmother, Cheng Su suddenly felt like making a phone call ho to exchange a few words with her.
