Chapter 359: Chapter 359: Digging Up the Past

After escaping the chatterbox Ming Xiaofan, Cheng Su and her husband left the restaurant, and just as Qi Taiguo had looked at Cheng Su countless tis, Cheng Su finally couldn’t help but stop and look at him.

"If you have sothing to say, just say it. Why keep staring at

like that?"

Qi Taiguo scratched his head and said, "Well, it’s nothing much. I just wonder how you seem to know everything?"

What Cheng Su had just been discussing with Ming Xiaofan sounded to him like a fantasy, completely unimaginable, yet when the two of them talked, it seed as if such things could really happen.

It was one thing for Ming Xiaofan, after all, no one knows what his background is. Seeing his super thick glasses, if he isn’t into academia, he must have an extraordinary mind.

But Cheng Su was different. She and he ca from neighboring villages. Though as a kid, he never thought much of her, she was still considered a childhood playmate, wasn’t she? A playmate he had seen grow up since they were kids, so of course, he knew her through and through.

However, after they got married, he realized his previous thoughts were narrow-minded. The surprises Cheng Su brought him ti and again had completely overturned his prior notions. Now, it was the sa; he felt he couldn’t see through her at all and was even more clueless about what notion of his she might overturn next.

Cheng Su chuckled and said, "I don’t know everything. It’s just about following the clues. Compare the past with the present, and you’ll see that isn’t it more advanced than before?"

"But what you just said about everyone carrying a mobile phone, how could that be possible?" Qi Taiguo was still hesitant to believe.

"Back in ancient tis, the ancients couldn’t have imagined that one day humans would be able to fly in the sky!" Cheng Su retorted.

Qi Taiguo was at a loss for words, and had to admit that this was also true.

"So the future has infinite possibilities. That’s inevitable," Cheng Su said with a smile.

Qi Taiguo sniffled and muttered, "I think you’re very certain about everything."

Uh...

Feeling a bit guilty, Cheng Su hugged his arm and said, "I just like to speculate. Anyway, how the future will turn out, we’ll see when it cos. We’re not scientists; we can’t make inventions. Let’s just live our peaceful little life. As for , I’ll concentrate on doing business and earning money. And you, just work hard to climb the ranks. Then our future child, once born, will be the typical rich second generation."

Qi Taiguo snorted and pinched her nose, saying, "Your words are so assured now, not knowing who was causing a fuss just the other day."

"Wasn’t I just annoyed? You’re not the one giving birth, of course, you wouldn’t understand," Cheng Su countered. "Won are always at a bit of a disadvantage compared to n. No matter the era, if a child can’t be born, people only bla the woman. That scene with your mom out of the blue, it annoyed

too, as if I was the only one at fault. You’re her son, of course, she wouldn’t bla you. In the end, I’m the one who faces embarrassnt."

As she spoke, her sense of injustice grew, and she reached out to pinch him, saying with full grievance, "How would you know the embarrassnt I felt, laying on that examination table with my legs spread for the doctor’s check-up."

Qi Taiguo, hearing her bring up past grievances again, hastily said, "Yes, yes, it’s all my fault. Won don’t have it easy."

Cheng Su gave him a disdainful look and sighed heavily. "Who knows what your mother will say when she goes back, she’s sure to bla everything on ."

Qi Taiguo laughed sheepishly and said nothing, thinking to himself, I was eager to have a child, but you said no, and you fooled , of course, I’ll push the bla onto you. But these words he didn’t dare utter, for who allowed himself to give in to the temptation at that mont and agreed to her?
