"Dad, you will never leave right?"
Xiao Ya asked as she snuggled into Ye Qian's chest, her big watery eyes peering into his.
"Of course, not, why would I leave my sweetheart."
Ye Qian said before making a face and continuing.
"Even if you are a bit snobbish, sleepy sloth and chubby little fellow."
"Hehe, I am not chubby dad."
The little girl giggled before once again taking a look at herself to confirm if her dad was indeed right.
"Haha, alright, let's get in, your grandmas have made sothing delicious for you."
Hearing the word delicious, the little girl's eyes shone.
anwhile, Mrs Ji also followed behind while holding Zhin's finger.
"Zhi, how does it feel here?"
She asked noticing that her son was looking around with his brows raised high.
"Mom, there are so many grandparents, but why are they all here, and why not in their hos, is this like a school for old people?"
Hearing her son's question and the genuinely confused look on his face, Mrs Ji let out a sigh. Not because he was unaware, but rather because she knew that he would be shocked by realizing what this place really was.
"Zhi, this is a hostel-like place for the old people, they stay here and so people take care of them."
The little fellow turned to look around and then back to his mother before asking.
"Huh, why do they stay here, don't they want to live with their families?"
Mrs Ji smiled wryly as she struggled to answer her son's curiosity in a way that won't make him feel sad, and that was when her gaze landed on Ye Qian and she continued.
"You see, there are so people who would live outside or need to travel, so in order to take care of their parents without troubling them with the travel and all that, they bring them here."
"Just like how your grandma and grandpa would live in the town while we need to live in the city for work."
"Ohh, then do their families co to et them like how we go to et with grandpa and grandma?"
"Hmm, sotis if they get ti they do, or they do video calls like how you did a few days ago."
"Ohhh!" the little fellow nodded his head in understanding.
"And see, all these old grandparents are friends with each other, so it is also good for them as they can spend ti talking with soone who can understand them."
"Hmm hmm."
anwhile, as they followed Ye Qian, a few gazes landed on them, eliciting raised brows and questions in the minds of a few elderlies.
"Who is she?"
"I don't know, but I think she ca with the Ye fellow."
A few of them wondered seeing the awkward smile on the woman's face as she was gazed at by them in wonder, while the little fellow was grinning and waving his hands at them.
In response, the elders didn't have any reason to not wave back and so they did.
That was when an elderly lady walked up to Mrs Ji and asked, "I haven't seen you before, did you co here the first ti?"
The lady had a warm smile on her face, clearly knowing that the young woman before her was feeling awkward with a few gazes at her.
"Hmm, we ca for the first ti, and it was thanks to Mr Ye."
"Ohh."
The elderly lady nodded seeing her point at Ye Qian and nodded before she asked.
"Are you his friend?"
Mrs Ji shook her head at the question, a bit flustered, "Ahh, no, actually, his daughter, Qiqi is in the sa class as Zhin."
She didn't doubt that they might think of her as so bad woman trying to get close to Ye Qian.
"Ohh, so you are Zhin, Qiqi talks a lot about you."
"Wow."
The little fellow smiled and nodded.
"Co I will introduce you to the others, and there's no need to be shy, and I also have sothing for you."
She then smiled, pinched Zhin's nose and looked at Mrs Ji.
"Thanks."
Mrs Ji followed the elder as she introduced her to a few more ladies who quickly surrounded the little fellow and adored him, giving him a few snacks and asking him many questions.
Mrs Ji didn't know what to say, in less than five minutes, she had just gotten accustod to them and had already started to feel closer to them.
anwhile, on Little Qiqi's side.
The shock from before had turned into a pleasant surprise as the little girl played with her grandpas and grandmas while being doted upon.
"Hehe, Grandpa Zuko, Qiqi missed you."
"Haha, I also missed you, girl, by the way, how was your school today."
"Ahh, yes, Qiqi has to say sothing, you know Qiqi's teacher Wu right?"
Hearing that, the ears of all those around her perked to listen to her narration.
"What happened, big sister?"
Xiao Ya, who was sitting on Grandma Zuo's lap asked.
"Hmm, so, it was like this, Miss Wu's cousin..."
And so, the little girl recounted what she had heard, sothing that her dear teacher Wu had thought won't happen.
After a few minutes, the little girl finished the story causing everyone present to nod while a few sneered.
"Serves that fellow right."
anwhile, Ye Qian didn't need to make a second guess to conclude who was the VICTIM in this story.
But what amazed him was the fact that just a single kick from a person was enough to break Wu Ping's bones.
One had to know that even if one were to kick a steel rod, there were fewer chances that their bones would simply snap into two portions.
'Could it be a martial artist?'
Ye Qian wondered, but then he shook his head, martial artists had a code of conduct where they would not harm any simple citizen unless there was sothing bad happening.
And from the looks of it, even if Wu Ping did deserve the punishnt, it wasn't so much to have his leg broken.
So this thought was quickly thrown out of Ye Qian's mind.
