Seeing the disappointed look on her face, Ye Qian could only shake his head.

"After I understood that no one was going to believe what I had seen, I just stopped saying anything about it to anyone, and shut myself in my house."

She then took another breath.

"I knew why no one was willing to believe , so I started to search for such happenings and incidents that might have been reported by various people."

"There I found that the place we had gone to was said to be a graveyard of so ancient ti, but I had seen that place and there we had found no signs of such, so I thought that it was soone saying so ssy things."

"But then I also found another story about it being said as so kind of burial place by the natives there."

"They say that more than 500 people were used as a sacrifice in those mountains many centuries ago and the blood of all those 500 people was used for so kind of ritual for so kind of demon back then."

As she said that, she subconsciously shuddered.

Killing 500 people might still be pretty grave, but sacrificing them while collecting their blood was enough to frighten any normal person.

But of course, to Ye Qian, this kind of scene was not sothing that he was unheard of.

Much less just 500, get had seen fields of several regions completely devastated and filled with hundreds of thousands of humans either killed or sacrificed.

Back then he was not strong enough and in fact, even after he had reached the highest realm one could achieve in the Greater Heavens, Ye Qian knew that there would still be many places where such things might be happening.

Even if he might be powerful, he knew that he might never be able to be in all places even if he wanted to stop that.

And knowing human nature, evil was not sothing that could be stopped in just an instance, in fact, it could never be stopped.

"The old myths of that region said that the mountains are full of baleful energy and also about the existence of a monster who was powerful enough to destroy towns with his re strength."

"And that was when I found with further study that the place we went to was the exact sa mountain where they said this monster lived."

But after a mont she smiled wryly.

"But there were very many people who thought that this was nothing but a re myth."

"After that, I went to the town that was situated more than 50 kilotres away."

"The people living there said that they didn't even dare to live close to the region no matter how fertile it was and the various precious herbs and fruits that were abundant in the mountains, due to the fear of the monster."

"They also said that a few people who were warned by them and also a few of their younger generations who thought that all of that was nothing but a hoax tried to go there but none of them ever ca."

"I asked them how co there were no rescue missions or the police tried to look after that."

"The farrs there said that the police or the forest officers in that region would say that the wild animal might have attacked them."

"But the farrs knew that there were no animals in those mountains."

"Just like how they tried their best to not get closer to the mountains, the animals were even smarter and didn't even get close to the 20-kilotre area surrounding the mountains."

Ye Qian nodded, hearing her words so far.

From what he knew, the animals were prone to be aware of the certain dangers that would be in certain places due to their adept senses.

And it would not be wrong to say that they were a better source of Spiritual Qi for the corpse general in order to keep them alive.

While the animals would rarely want to get away from places with high Spiritual Qi, it must be really different for them to clearly opt not to get close to the regions.

One had to know that the affinity that the animals had towards such places was much more than the humans.

People would only think that they were feeling better in places with better Spiritual Qi just because such places would also often have a much greener environnt and better nature.

But they would not understand the real reason behind it.

"After that, I heard so farrs saying that a few monks would always co to the mountains in search of various herbs."

"When I was there, I also saw the monks that the farr talked about."

She pursed her lips and then continued.

"But they weren't really like the monks that one would see in temples."

"They were wearing robes and so of them also had malas (hanging beads) with them, but so were having various kinds of weapons with them and also looked very young for being monks."

"And they also seed to know about the myths of the mountains, but still planned to go in."

"I asked the farrs why they were not warning the monks, but the farrs said that the monks were the ones that were doing certain things that would keep the monster at bay and not allow him to co out of the mountains."

"The mont I heard that, I begged them to bring along with them."

"But they didn't agree no matter how much I begged them, but I didn't tell them about the real reason for wanting to go into the mountains."

"So, I followed them in secrecy into the deeper parts of the mountains."

"But when I saw them enter the periter of the mountains, those monks started to run at a speed that I just couldn't cope up with."

"I still sohow rushed behind them since I didn't have any reason to be afraid of anything."

"But one of them appeared right behind my back and caught ."
