Chapter 65: Chapter 64: Fu Keqi Has Been Infected with Zombie’s Corpse Poison! Chapter 65: Chapter 64: Fu Keqi Has Been Infected with Zombie’s Corpse Poison! The ropes were bound tight, and the guards were hung up in the trees, their mouths also gagged.

Having done this, the group stood at the entrance to the cave.

Just standing there, everyone instinctively pinched their noses. A suprely foul odor wafted out from the cave, reminiscent of blood but also like sothing had been rotting for a very long ti.

Su Chenfei almost threw up again.

The odor was so unbearable that Mianmian took out face masks from her small bag and distributed one to each person. With the masks on, the disgusting sll finally dissipated.

The lighting inside the cave was dim, and at the very end, there was just a solid wall.

Su Chenfei paused, wondering what this was all about, only to see Mianmian stand on tiptoe and point to a protruding stone above: “Here, chanism, um,”

Chu Qi reached out and pressed it, the stone retracted into the wall, and the stone wall opened up.

It turned out to be a secret door!

Su Chenfei exclaid, “I really didn’t expect such a place to exist in modern society!”

Beyond the chanism was a staircase leading downward, tiled all the way to the bottom. Kerosene lamps provided just enough light to see the path at their feet.

As they stepped on and continued inward, the tiles seed incomplete, bearing marks that looked very old.

The space as a whole resembled an antechamber, with wooden beams and structures above, so of which had already turned to powder. Walking out of the small room, there was a long corridor.

“This is an ancient tomb,” Chu Qi stated coldly, “I never thought there would be a tomb hidden in these mountains.”

What was that kidnapper planning by bringing the children into the ancient tomb?

While Chu Qi pondered, Mianmian had already started walking into the corridor with her small, short legs. The place she had calculated that was filled with stones, was not a cave, it was an ancient cetery.

Mianmian rembered her mother explaining the structure of ceteries.

Striving to recall her mother’s words, Mianmian thought to herself as she walked from the antechamber: There should be a front chamber of the cetery here!

Upon reaching there, Mianmian looked back and forth, her little hand rummaging inside her small bag, pulling out so paper-crafted ingots and paper money, as well as a bundle of incense sticks, which she lit and placed on the ground.

“Little Auntie, what are you doing?” Su Chenfei asked curiously. They were here to rescue people; what did Little Auntie want with these items?

“We’ve accidentally entered soone’s ho,” Mianmian said as she lit the paper ingots and money, “Even though we’re here to rescue people, we must apologize to the owner. Nobody likes it when soone intrudes into their ho uninvited.”

After lighting the paper money, Mianmian handed out the incense sticks and had everyone pay respects to the front chamber, sincerely.

As Mianmian murmured for the owner’s forgiveness, the rising smoke oddly went straight up and entered the ceiling of the front chamber.

“It’s going straight up,” Mianmian looked upward, her delicate, fair face adorable looking, “That ans you agree, then. We’re going in to rescue people.”

After speaking and bowing one more ti, she led everyone into the front chamber.

Inside the front chamber, beyond several rooms filled with funerary objects, there was the Main Coffin Room. Judging from the size of the tomb, its owner must have been very wealthy to afford such a grand burial.

It wasn’t until they walked past the front chamber that they finally heard voices.

These were the sounds of children crying and a familiar voice, which seed to be Fu Keqi.

“Are you going to be my subordinate or not? If you don’t want to, I’ll give you to the bats!” Fu Keqi’s voice was tinged with triumph, “I am much more powerful now than Su Mianmian, you know?”

Following the voice, Mianmian made her way into the room.

All the artifacts that should have been in the tomb had been emptied, and about five or six children were trapped here. Standing right in front of Fu Keqi was Li Yang, the little boy tightly pursing his lips, not uttering a word.

The other children were crying, among them was Grandmother’s grandson.

Perhaps frustrated by Li Yang’s silence, Fu Keqi grew angry and was about to smash her fist into Li Yang’s face.

Mianmian, upon entering, saw this and quickly ran over to block Fu Keqi’s punch, surprisingly discovering that Fu Keqi’s strength had beco very strong. And Fu Keqi’s eyes had turned red, with purplish veins at the corners. She didn’t look like a normal child at all.

Mianmian blocked the punch, and a look of surprise flashed in Fu Keqi’s eyes: “What’s going on?”

She couldn’t see Mianmian, nor the others present.

Mianmian took the opportunity to throw a punch at Fu Keqi’s head.

A blow that should have knocked out Fu Keqi only left a blue mark on her skin this ti.

Fu Keqi covered her face, looking around in panic, and said, “Su Mianmian, is that you, Su Mianmian? How dare you co here?”

Mianmian didn’t want to listen to Fu Keqi and punched her in the head again with twice the strength she used before. Fu Keqi was knocked to the ground with the blow.

But she still didn’t pass out.

Now Mianmian was in a dilemma, while Fu Keqi got up from the ground and scread, “Master, Master! Su Mianmian is here, Su Mianmian is here!”

She struggled to run outside.

When Wu De heard the noise, he ran over, saw nothing, and said with impatience, “Fu Keqi, I’ve told you I’m doing sothing important. You’re not the sa as before, can you please stop throwing childish tantrums?”

“Instead of being paranoid, you might as well drink so more of your father’s blood and absorb more of it to evolve into a complete Zombie sooner.”

Zombie?

Upon hearing this, Mianmian’s eyes widened as she observed Fu Keqi. She realized that Fu Keqi’s skin had a purplish tinge, her nails were black, and she froze.

Fu Keqi had been poisoned by Zombie corpse poison!

Looking at the other children, indeed, so were also showing signs of purplish discoloration.

“But Master, I really did get hit,” Fu Keqi argued, “I was trying to hit soone, and my hand was grabbed. It must have been Su Mianmian.”

“How could she have co here? There are lookouts outside,” Wu De was exasperated, “All other tomb entrances have been sealed; there’s only one entrance. If she, a three-year-old child, managed to co here, the sentries would have alerted us.”

Seeing that Wu De didn’t believe her, Fu Keqi’s eyes flickered with resentnt.

Wu De saw this and suddenly put on a smiling face, “Keqi, don’t worry. Master has a trump card given by your great master. Haven’t you seen how powerful that Wolf Demon is? If Su Mianmian cos here, surely she won’t be able to beat that Wolf Demon.”

“Master is doing this to finish your great master’s task sooner. Perhaps Ying Gou is among these children, right?”

Ying Gou?

Mianmian frowned.

Wasn’t that one of the legendary kings of Zombies? The story traced all the way back to the Era of Chaos. How could Ying Gou be among these children? That’s not possible.
