"Chief Mobas, today Her Majesty summoned that human. In less than an hour, he was carried out covered in blood. He was in a miserable state, barely clinging to life."
Sowhere in the tribe, a serpent-man soldier reported to Mobas.
"So it seems I was overthinking. Her Majesty had no intention of favoring that brat."
After so much ti had passed, Mobas found it hard to believe that the human was still alive.
The prince had already left to undergo his inheritance trial, aning no one was there to protect that human. Logically speaking, Her Majesty should have executed him by now.
Yet, upon investigating, he discovered that not only was the human still alive, but Elder Baru had even defended him during yesterday's tribal eting.
Even Her Majesty's words carried a hint of partiality toward the human.
This infuriated Mobas.
He thought that if Her Majesty didn't do anything to that human today, he would sneak into the palace tonight and kill him himself.
Even if Her Majesty found out later, she would never execute him over a re human.
Hearing this report now, Mobas decided to wait a little longer. Perhaps Her Majesty was still considering the prince and had simply refrained from killing the human for now.
Her actions had already made her stance clear.
"Alright, you may go," Mobas said, feeling sowhat reassured.
But the serpent-man soldier hesitated before adding, "However... Her Majesty has arranged for that human to stay in her private palace."
"What?"
Mobas was imdiately taken aback.
His brief mont of relief vanished in an instant.
Could it be that Her Majesty really intended to protect that human?
"Chief Mobas, should we...?"
The serpent guards exchanged glances, their intent clear.
The Serpent Tribe had fought against humans for over a thousand years, their hatred deeply ingrained.
If not for the fact that the human was staying in the royal palace, they would have already skinned him alive.
"If Her Majesty has placed him in her private palace, then killing him ans we'd first have to find a way to lure her out."
But Mobas was a brute, not a scher. After thinking for a long ti without coming up with a plan, he smacked the soldier on the head.
"You idiot, think of sothing!"
A familiar wooden tub. An unfamiliar place.
Chen Mo looked around the spacious bedroom. The room was lavishly decorated with tables, chairs, vases, and other furnishings. A soft, pale-yellow beast fur carpet covered the floor.
The large bed at the far end was draped with veils, completely incomparable to the small room he had stayed in before.
The decor... was eerily similar to Queen dusa's chambers.
Chen Mo's head spun slightly.
He lowered his gaze.
What the hell?!
Who stripped of my clothes?!
And my injuries...
Before he lost consciousness, he had vomited a lot of blood. His wounds had been severe.
Yet now, he felt almost fully healed.
How long have I been unconscious?
Chen Mo opened his status panel.

Chen Mo then checked his inventory.
[Enlightennt Incense Stick x5, Tier-3 Dou Shi Pill, Indestructible Mystic Body Technique (Golden Body Chapter)]
As for the pills he had acquired earlier, he had stored them all in his spatial ring.
Chen Mo read the description of the Tier-3 Dou Shi Pill.
It had a chance to increase a Dou Shi's cultivation by one level, but a person could only consu one in their lifeti.
He decided to wait for the right opportunity before taking it.
Then, he extracted the Indestructible Mystic Body Technique's Golden Body Chapter.
A flood of information surged into his mind.
The Indestructible Mystic Body Technique had three Chapters:
Golden Body Chapter, Indestructible Chapter, Undying Chapter.
The Golden Body Chapter was further divided into Iron Body, Copper Body, Golden Body, and Sacred Body.
This was a divine technique for refining the physical body.
Damn, did I just manifest this into existence?
A god-tier endurance technique.
The steps for cultivating Iron Body weren't complicated, and Chen Mo already had most of the required materials in his spatial ring. However, the key ingredient—a magical beast's essence blood of at least Dou Ling rank—was missing.
Where am I supposed to find that?
Moreover, the strength and bloodline purity of the beast would directly affect the final quality of his Iron Body.
The first person that ca to mind... was Queen dusa.
But asking her for her essence blood? That was harder than ascending to the heavens.
Still, no matter what, he had to try.
Having made up his mind, Chen Mo put on his robe and stepped out of the room.
Night had already fallen, and moonlight bathed the palace in a silver glow.
As he walked outside, Chen Mo was stunned.
His residence... was right next to Queen dusa's chamber, separated by no more than a ten-ter corridor.
Shocked, Chen Mo made his way toward Queen dusa's chamber.
The mont Yue Nu, the commander of the palace guards, saw him walking, she was even more surprised.
It had been less than three days. His injuries had been that severe... yet he was already fine?
What kind of miraculous dicine did Her Majesty use on him?
And why had she been personally tending to him these past few days? How strange.
"Commander Yue Nu, is Her Majesty inside?" Chen Mo asked in a low voice as he approached.
"It's late. Her Majesty has already retired for the night."
"Let him in," ca Queen dusa's voice from inside the chamber.
Yue Nu was stunned.
Even she wasn't allowed to enter at this hour, yet Her Majesty was letting a human inside?
Though surprised, she dared not disobey and promptly opened the palace doors for Chen Mo.
The mont he stepped inside, Chen Mo's gaze instinctively shifted to the wall where he had once been embedded.
To his surprise, it was perfectly intact, with only faint traces left behind.
His eyes then moved toward the throne.
There, reclining on the grand throne, was Queen dusa.
She looked utterly bewitching.
Her crown had already been removed, her long black hair cascading like a waterfall.
Perhaps because it was late, or because she was preparing to sleep, her attire was... daring.
Her delicate collarbones, fair shoulders, and alluring curves were on full display. Her slender waist seed like it could be held in one hand.
But her face was a little pale.
It's only been a few days... Why does Her Majesty look so exhausted?
Of course, Chen Mo could only keep such thoughts to himself.
Queen dusa's long, enchanting eyes flickered slightly as she spoke in her usual cold tone.
"Why are you here?"
Chen Mo narrowed his eyes slightly.
Since he needed her essence blood, he couldn't act as he usually did. He had to say sothing nice.
So he quickly replied, "Your Majesty, I've co to apologize!"
Queen dusa's eyes instantly lit up but quickly darkened.
Could it be that he found out how hard I worked to save him these past few days?
Otherwise, with his personality, even after I beat him half to death, he wouldn't admit fault.
And now, all of a sudden, he's turned over a new leaf...?
