"Who is Elder Baru?"

Chen Mo asked.

"He is the Snake Tribe's Master Alchemist."

Yue Nu replied proudly.

"Is he in the palace? I need to see him."

Chen Mo needed Iceheart Pills to keep his soul clear and focused, which would enhance his efficiency when cultivating the Chaos ditation Art at night.

"Elder Baru is in the alchemy chamber within the palace. I'll take you to him," Yue Nu said.

"Thank you, Commander Yue Nu."

Chen Mo cupped his fists slightly.

Yue Nu didn't respond. She simply turned and led the way.

This was the first ti Chen Mo had been allowed to move freely within the palace.

The palace was larger than he had expected, but instead of being lavish, it exuded an austere, imposing grandeur.

The hallways stretched far and wide, with intricate carvings of the Snake Tribe's history etched into the walls.

Every corridor was heavily guarded, with patrolling Snake Tribe warriors, ensuring an impenetrable defense.

As Chen Mo passed by, many of the Snake Tribe warriors whispered amongst themselves:

"Is that the human slave the Queen brought back?"

"Even with his swollen face, he still looks handso."

"I heard that every day, the Queen beats him black and blue until he passes out."

"Hah! Serves him right. That's how humans should be treated!"

The corner of Chen Mo's mouth twitched slightly.

He hadn't realized he had beco so famous in the palace.

After about ten minutes of walking—

They arrived outside the alchemy chamber.

Two Snake Tribe guards stood watch at the entrance.

Yue Nu spoke to them briefly before allowing Chen Mo to enter.

Inside the Alchemy Chamber

The mont Chen Mo stepped inside, a wave of intense heat washed over him.

The temperature was in stark contrast to the cool air outside, making the inside and outside feel like two different worlds.

The room was spacious yet sparse, with a single alchemy cauldron placed in the center.

An elderly Snake Tribe alchemist, dressed in a black robe, was sorting through dicinal ingredients.

Hearing footsteps, the elder glanced up.

The mont he saw that it was a human, his brows furrowed slightly, though he hid it well.

Just as he was about to scold the guards outside for allowing a human to enter, he suddenly heard—

"Six-leaf Red Grass, Scarlet Spirit Fruit, Blue Silver Heart Stone..."

Chen Mo's murmuring reached Baru's ears.

The elder was montarily taken aback before recalling what the Queen had told him the other night.

He imdiately straightened up and asked:

"You are the Queen's personal slave?"

Chen Mo's mouth twitched, but he didn't bother arguing.

With a polite smile, he said, "You must be Elder Baru."

Baru nodded lightly. "What do you need from ?"

"I want to refine Iceheart Pills, but Commander Yue Nu told that only you have Iceheart Grass."

Chen Mo explained.

"Iceheart Pills?" Baru's expression shifted slightly.

However, upon seeing how young Chen Mo was, he found it hard to believe that he was a Tier 4 Alchemist.

So, he took out a pill from his storage ring and held it in front of Chen Mo.

"This Healing Pill—did you refine it?"

Chen Mo examined the pill closely before nodding.

Baru took a deep breath, then asked, "How old are you?"

"19."

Chen Mo frowned slightly.

"Why is he asking this?"

Baru's eyes widened in shock.

"Impossible! How can there be a 19-year-old Tier 4 Alchemist? Even Gu He was only Tier 2 at that age!"

"Tier 4?"

Chen Mo was stunned.

Then, his expression turned puzzled.

"I'm not a Tier 4 Alchemist. I'm only Tier 2."

"Tier 2?"

Baru's expression darkened, his anger rising.

"Are you lying to ? There's no way you refined this pill!"

Chen Mo was even more confused.

"That's just a Tier 1 Healing Pill. I'm a Tier 2 Alchemist. Refining a Tier 1 pill is child's play. Why do you doubt ?"

Baru snorted coldly.

"This Healing Pill is nearly flawless, with zero impurities. That ans 100% of its dicinal power can be absorbed.

Only a Tier 4 Alchemist could achieve this.

Even I can't refine one this perfect.

And you, a re Tier 2, claim you made it?!"

"This isn't difficult," Chen Mo replied casually.

Baru's face twisted in fury.

"Arrogant! Don't think that just because the Queen favors you, I won't deal with you! Guards!"

Two Snake Tribe guards imdiately entered, and Yue Nu also stepped inside, looking puzzled.

"Elder Baru, what's wrong?"

"Throw this human out!" Baru ordered.

"Understood."

The guards stepped forward, ready to grab Chen Mo.

"Wait!"

Yue Nu quickly stopped them.

The Queen had entrusted her with watching over Chen Mo, so she asked,

"Elder Baru, what happened?"

"Ask him!" Baru snapped.

Chen Mo sighed and said, "I told him that I refined that Healing Pill."

Yue Nu frowned slightly.

"And that's a problem?"

"Of course, it is!" Baru growled.

"This Healing Pill is nearly perfect, with zero impurities. Only a Tier 4 Alchemist can achieve that.

Even I can't do it.

Yet this kid claims he's only Tier 2?

Isn't that mocking ?"

Yue Nu was surprised.

To her, even a Tier 2 Alchemist was already extrely valuable.

She curiously turned to Chen Mo.

Seeing all eyes on him, Chen Mo didn't bother explaining further.

He simply said,

"Elder Baru, if I refine a perfect Healing Pill right now, will you give the Iceheart Grass?"

Baru scoffed, as if hearing a joke.

"Forget perfect—

If you can refine a Healing Pill as good as the one in my hand, I'll not only give you the Iceheart Grass, but also any other ingredients you need in the future."

Chen Mo didn't waste words.

He simply walked up to the alchemy cauldron and turned to Baru.

"May I borrow your cauldron and ingredients?"

"Go ahead," Baru said dismissively.

With a flick of his hand, the ingredients floated toward Chen Mo.

Taking a deep breath, Chen Mo rubbed his fingers together—

A tiny, blood-red fla, flickering with lightning arcs, rose from his fingertips.

Then—

With a flick of his finger, the fla flew into the cauldron.

Boom!

A muffled explosion echoed.

Imdiately, a massive surge of crimson flas erupted from within the cauldron.

Baru's cauldron was of decent quality, showing no signs of strain.

However—

Everyone present—Baru, Yue Nu, and the guards—stared in shock.

Yue Nu's hand trembled as she pointed at the flas.

"Blood-colored flas? A Heavenly Fla?!"

The entire alchemy chamber fell into dead silence.

Everyone's gazes locked onto Chen Mo in disbelief.

Baru, however, frowned deeply.

"No... sothing's off.

With his strength, there's no way he could control such a powerful Heavenly Fla this skillfully."

He continued staring at the blood-red flas, trying to understand.

Indeed—

Based on what Yue Nu knew about Chen Mo, he was only a four-star Dou Shi.

There was no way he could control a true Heavenly Fla at that level.
