With a flick of his wrist, Xiao Yan summoned the massive Heavy Xuan Ruler, which flashed into his grasp.

Imdiately, Dou Qi surged wildly within him, like a raging tide flooding into the weapon.

As that overwhelming energy poured into the ruler, the originally black weapon began to glow with a vibrant jade-green light.

Faint wisps of green fla even started to flicker and dance from deep within the weapon’s body.

"Hmm? Going all out now?" Yun Shan raised an eyebrow at Xiao Yan’s stance. "Fine. This has dragged on long enough. Let’s end it."

He extended his palm toward Xiao Yan from afar. A deep cyan Dou Qi began to frantically condense in his hand.

On the other side, the black Heavy Xuan Ruler was now fully transford into a glowing jade blade. At last, Xiao Yan stopped pouring in his energy.

Gripping the quivering weapon tightly, he raised his head and glared fiercely at Yun Shan, who was in the midst of gathering power.

Then—both hands clutching the enormous weapon—Xiao Yan raised it high above his head, and in the next instant, brought it down with thunderous force.

"Fla Splitting Tsunami!"

As Xiao Yan’s shout pierced the heavens, a massive erald-green blade of energy, nearly ten zhang (over 30 ters) in length, erupted from the tip of the ruler.

It tore through the air like lightning, splitting space itself, and slashed straight toward Yun Shan.

"Great Sorrowful Wind Tearing Hand!"

Seeing the enormous green energy blade rapidly growing in his vision, Yun Shan’s pupils shrank. He let out a deep shout in return.

With his cry, the glow in his palm suddenly burst outward.

In the next breath, a massive hand of condensed energy, several ters wide, materialized out of thin air and slamd toward the ruler’s energy blade with howling force.

BOOM!!!

Before countless stunned eyes, the two overwhelmingly powerful attacks collided head-on.

The deafening explosion that followed shook the skies like thunder, temporarily deafening everyone around.

Waves of energy radiated violently from the center of impact, rippling across the sky and ground.

This terrifying blast was on par with the earlier scene when Wei Yang’s Nine Fla Dragons shattered Protector Wu’s orb-like formation.

Yun Shan flicked his sleeves, dispersing the incoming energy shockwaves as he narrowed his eyes, peering into the now-distorted space where the energy had clashed.

Just as he was about to use his perception to locate Xiao Yan’s position, his face suddenly changed.

At that instant—a black shadow burst forth from the swirling energy and appeared right in front of Yun Shan like a lightning bolt. A powerful fist, brimming with imnse force, rocketed toward his face.

"Hmph, such petty tricks." Yun Shan sneered and snatched out with his palm, easily catching Xiao Yan’s punch.

But as his eyes t the young man’s, he caught a glimr of... mockery.

"What the...?"

Yun Shan froze for half a second, an uneasy chill suddenly rising in his chest.

And at that very mont, a gust of wind charged with freezing cold and blazing heat exploded from behind him!

"Not good!!"

Sensing the terrifying force approaching his back, Yun Shan’s heart sank into panic.

He instinctively tried to spin around and defend—but Xiao Yan’s fist had already shifted into a claw and lunged forward, seizing Yun Shan’s shoulder and locking him in place!

That brief mont of delay was all it took—the incoming attack struck like thunder.

As Yun Shan twisted his neck, he caught—out of the corner of his eye—a slightly transparent figure of an old man appearing behind him.

"Yao Chen?!"

The na flashed through his mind—and before he could react, the devastating strike landed squarely on his back.

PFFF!!

A mouthful of bright red blood sprayed from Yun Shan’s mouth, witnessed by countless shocked spectators.

But it didn’t end there.

At the exact sa mont, Xiao Yan put all his remaining strength into driving his shoulder into Yun Shan’s chest—like a battering ram.

BOOM!

SPLURT!!

Another mouthful of blood erupted.

Under the stunned gazes of everyone present, the heavily injured Yun Shan shot downward like a cannonball.

From nearly a hundred ters high, he plumted, crashing toward the earth.

BOOM!!!

He slamd brutally into the plaza below, sending rocks and dust spraying in all directions, engulfing the impact zone.

"Sect Master!!"

The elders and disciples of the Yun Lan Sect scread, their voices full of shock and disbelief.

"Master!!"

Yun Yun cried out as well. Forcing back Jia Xingtian with a sword slash, she turned her head sharply to look down at the fallen figure below.

But Xiao Yan wasn’t done.

Take them down while they’re weak—that was the rule of survival.

He flipped his palm, and the Heavy Xuan Ruler appeared once more in his hand. Raising it high overhead, he brought it down with deadly force.

"Yun Shan, you old bastard—go to hell!!"

Xiao Yan’s roar was full of hatred and rage.

"Xiao Yan, don’t!!"

Yun Yun’s cry rang out in desperation.

But Xiao Yan only shot her a cold, indifferent glance—the swing of his massive ruler did not falter in the slightest.

Fla Splitting Tsunami!

A jade-green energy blade over ten zhang long tore through the sky, roaring downward like a divine executioner’s strike.

anwhile—high above in the sky.

The mont Yao Lao had appeared, Protector Mo’s eyes narrowed sharply, and his figure shot forward.

But—

ROAARRR!!

A black fla dragon burst forth, searing the air as it roared toward him with blazing heat.

"Hmph."

Protector Mo snorted coldly—he had been expecting this.

He twisted his body midair and swept his palm across.

CLANG—CLANG—CLANG!

Three black chains shot out from his palm like serpents, lashing toward the fla dragon.

BOOM!

A thunderous impact exploded in the sky. Fiery waves of energy rippled in all directions.

SWISH!

A figure suddenly flashed into view, stepping in front of Protector Mo.

"Your opponent... is ."

The man stood calmly in mid-air, blocking the path like an immovable cliff before a raging tide.

The fierce winds and shockwaves from the earlier collision crashed over him like waves breaking on rock—but he did not budge.

CLANG—CLANG—CLANG...

The black chains lashed and danced through the air, but the energy waves they struck were instantly shattered.

Protector Mo looked at the figure—Wei Yang—and let out a low, eerie chuckle.

"Kekeke... So you’ve finally decided to show yourself?"

Wei Yang raised his hand behind him and snatched at the air.

Instantly, the black sea of flas in the sky—and the nine giant fla dragons within—recoiled like flowing water, shrinking back into his palm and surging into his body.

Only after this did Wei Yang speak, his tone calm and cold: "I never planned to rely on that to stall you. I just didn’t want you interfering with soone else’s personal revenge."

"Keke, is that so?"

Protector Mo gave a strange laugh. With a flick of his hand, the three black chains suddenly transford into streaks of black lightning, and shot toward Wei Yang without warning.

Wei Yang raised his palm and gave it a gentle push.

ROAARRR!!

A fla dragon burst forth to et the attack.

BOOM!

The two clashed instantly.

But Protector Mo was extrely cautious—his movents were elusive, never lingering in one place, always keeping a safe distance from Wei Yang.

Clearly, he was wary of the Nine Dragon Formation, afraid of being trapped in it again.

While exchanging blows, Protector Mo’s eyes shifted briefly to the side—toward Protector Tie, who stood behind him.

"You—go down there and bring back Yao Chen and Xiao Yan!"

"Understood."

Protector Tie nodded, glanced warily at Wei Yang, then quickly retreated a short distance before flashing downward toward the battle below.

Wei Yang gave him a brief glance and then ignored him.

"Hmm? You’re not worried?"

Protector Mo asked in surprise.

"Why should I be?"

Wei Yang responded coolly, "You’re underestimating that old man. He’s Yao Zun Zhe, after all. And you—just an Eight-Star Dou Zong— Isn’t your arrogance... a bit much?"

"Keke... ’Yao Zun Zhe’? That title’s ancient history."

Protector Mo grinned darkly.

"In my eyes, he’s nothing more than prey now."

Had Yao Chen still possessed his physical body, Protector Mo wouldn’t have dared get near him. He would’ve run as far away as he could.

But now? With only a soul form remaining?

Protector Mo didn’t take him seriously at all.

In this world, any soul body—no matter how powerful in life— belonged to the Hall of Souls.

It didn’t matter how mighty or glorious they once were.Without a body, they were nothing but prey.

"Prey?"

Wei Yang let out a cold, faint smirk.

"We’ll see about that.Today... Just who’s the hunter, and who’s the hunted— That’s still up for debate."
