Seeing their respectful bows, Yun Yun smiled and raised her hand slightly.
“Yue i, Liu Ling, since your master is currently not in the sect, I’ll present so gifts on his behalf as your eting gift,” Yun Yun said.
Though they had just t, Yun Yun imdiately brought out two items—a finely crafted sword and a pill—and handed them to Yue i.
Seeing what Yun Yun offered, a faint blush appeared on Yue i’s cheeks, and a warm feeling welled up in her heart. Since Yun Yun was offering her a gift, it ant she had already acknowledged her.
“Thank you, Madam!”
Yue i, without hesitation or pretense, smiled sweetly and accepted the gifts with both hands.

While marveling at this, she spotted a golden-haired little boy sitting cross-legged in ditation. Her expression froze slightly as she rembered the ti when her cultivation was sealed by Xiao Jin and she was confined in Liu Ling’s courtyard. Her lips couldn’t help but curl into a soft smile.
Noticing her expression, Liu Ling knew exactly what she was thinking. With an embarrassed smile, he said, “i’er, that’s Xiao Jin. He’s been in seclusion lately—should still be a while before he finishes.”
“So his na is Xiao Jin? What a cute na!” Yue i replied with a smile. That ti, Xiao Jin had practically played matchmaker, indirectly bringing the two of them together.
