Protector Feng, now restrained by Fla Dragon, was equally shocked. From their conversation, he quickly pieced together the relationship between Fla Dragon and Yun Shan.
To Protector Feng, the red-haired man before him had to be at least an eight-star Dou Ancestor, or even a nine-star. And if soone of such strength called another his master, that master was surely a Dou Venerate at minimum.
Realizing this, Protector Feng understood he had severely miscalculated today.
“This is all just a misunderstanding,” Protector Feng said with difficulty, his voice strained under the oppressive red energy binding him. “I am Protector Feng of the Hall of Souls. For the sake of the Hall of Souls, I hope you will spare .”

Hearing Protector Feng's still sinister voice, Fla Dragon roared at him, “If you dare interrupt again, I’ll destroy you right here and now!”

Yun Shan was not offended by her questions. Instead, he replied openly, “Yanran, I’ve never t Protector Feng before. I’ve only had dealings with Protector Jiu, who ntioned him. As for their organization, it seems to have many Protectors with power similar to theirs. Beyond that, I don’t know much.”
“This matter is significant—it could affect the survival of Yunlan Sect. It’s best to inform your master and mistress as soon as possible,” Yun Shan said gravely.
“Grandmaster, my master and mistress left Yunlan Sect a few days ago and are currently traveling. They’re not here at the mont,” Nalan Yanran replied, shaking her head.
“Gu He and Yun Yun have left? Did they ntion when they’d return?” Yun Shan asked in surprise. He had already co to rely on Gu He as a pillar of support.
“I’m not sure, Grandmaster,” Nalan Yanran responded, shaking her head again. She then spread her wings and flew to a spot three ters in front of Fla Dragon, shouting at Protector Feng, “The Hall of Souls you ntioned—what kind of force is it, and why have you co to Yunlan Sect?”
The Hall of Souls was known for its secrecy. Even many factions in Zhongzhou had only heard of its na, let alone the remote and barren northwestern region, where knowledge of it was almost nonexistent.
“Heh heh, little girl, the Hall of Souls where I serve is so terrifying that if I told you, it would scare you to death!” Protector Feng sneered.

“So even the weakest of the Four Clans have Venerates in their ranks. Then your Hall of Souls must have several Dou Venerate experts, right?”
