Chapter 63: Lion’s Den {2}

I gasped suddenly when I felt Dace’s arm around , gluing

to his body. "Shall we, baby?"

We sauntered to the entrance, a man stood there in a smart tailored suit, he seed old like in his 50s or 60s but looked strong and fit, his white hair packed in a ponytail, his beard like it was bleached white but I knew all too well it was age. He stroked a bow and I suddenly felt like we were in so dieval era.

"Welco, young master"

Dace said no word, the mont we got to the white door, it spread open. I was left breathless, what caught my eyes was the huge chandelier suspended to the white ceiling in the entrance and then what caught my attention next was the spacious environnt.

"I-It’s so big" I whispered to myself.

"Just feel comfortable okay?"

How does he expect

to? This was like a dream, was this real? I was even doubting myself.

"Young master" So n in suits, with eyes covered in black shades, each station at a particular area bowed as we walked past them.

Dace only focused on

and not on all the eyes focused on us, even though I couldn’t see them I was certain.

I was literally shaking where I was, I was super nervous. We got to the bifurcated stairs and finally, I could breathe because no n were spotted anymore.

"You okay?"

I faced him, he gave

a look of worry, he really wanted

to say sothing.

"I’m okay... just..." I paused, not knowing what to say.

"Are the guards making you nervous?"

I opened my mouth.

"Sorry about that... my dad isn’t here so he thinks the house should be guarded, he still treats us as cubs, which can be annoying sotis, so don’t let them bother you, okay?" his hand on my arm tightened and I stroked a nod, with a smile on my lips, feeling sowhat less nervous.

The stairs were quite tall but we got to the second floor, everything I set my eyes on was either spotless white paintings or antiques that would cost a fortune or the stylish curtains that were to the tall ceilings. The house gave these expensive vibes and I couldn’t help but feel small in the presence of it.

"More stairs?" I asked as we made our way to yet another, I don’t think my legs could take more climbing. Dace, as if sensing my distress, swooped

off my feet, in his arms, my bag just at my front and I was forced to clench it further because he took

by surprise with his action, and my brain hadn’t quite processed his movent.

"Better?" he asked with a smug smirk on his lips.

"P-P-Put

down, Dace!" I half yelled, a hot blush spreading across my cheeks.

"We’re going to the top floor, this second belongs to my parents, so expect more climbing, I wouldn’t complain, but you... my little human can’t take that much walk"

Was I blushing because of the fact that he was carrying

in his arms or the fact that he called

a little human?

"I-I’m not complaining"

"I know you’re tired, you get tired easily and you’re so..." he mused, biting his bottom lip.

"Small?"

"I was gonna say fragile, baby"

I huffed rolling my eyes and he chuckled at the attitude I gave him. I think we finally got to the top, and I still haven’t gotten used to the various decorative setting I saw, everything was well put and spotless, and the house was both modern and dieval at the sa ti, giving it this unfamiliar view, everything was just simply outstanding, should beyond rich describe this place? Or rich to the brim and more? I can’t find the right words.

We walked into the spacious lobby and then made a turn to a door, which I was guessing was his room. They have tall doors in this house, I wasn’t so sure I could open one myself.

We strolled in and he finally let

down, shutting the door behind .

"Wow" I exclaid slightly, his room was big, very big, he had his living here, everything you would need in a house except he had it all in his ROOM!

I walked forward observing the fireplace, and the painting that was hung just above it, of a lion, yeah a normal lion like it was stalking towards its prey, it was sorta intriguing and then the rug that looked like fur, his chairs were covered in it too, white fur.

I turned to the wall made of glass, showing the view of the forest, giving it this peaceful setting. It was beautiful to watch such a setting from this angle, my eyes darted to the spiral stair, I guess that is where his bedroom might be.

"Like what you see?" He asked, earning a slight jump from , he was behind and so close as his hands found my waist pulling to his strong body behind and I leaned in his touch, it felt so good as my body rubbed against his.

"You like fur" I whispered but I was certain he heard .

"Yes... a thing for werelions" he murmured taking a deep breath and burying his face in my hair taking a prolonged sniff "You sll so good" he groaned as his grip against

tightened further and making

more glued to his well-sculpted body, even with all the clothing, I could feel those ripped muscles lying beneath, I haven’t seen him without his shirt off and it made

wondered just how well defined his body was.

"I finally have you alone" he whispered to my ears and earned a shiver from him and then a groan. I felt his chest rumble in so sort of sound. "I was getting fed up with all..." I yelped slightly when I felt his lips at the crook of my neck, was that his teeth? "... the interruptions’’

I was rethinking right now...

"I don’t intend for such to happen again"

...if it was studying we were really ant to do.

He whirled

suddenly like I was so feather he could easily manipulate but in a gentle way.

"Let

taste your lips baby... and then we proceed to what you ca here for"

The study, perhaps?
