It took a while before the door responded. After constantly pressing the button like a manic I was finally in and out of the elevator. I searched everywhere I could find but I couldn’t spot them anywhere, the mansion looked empty too. Where did they go? I could have tried to sense Dace but he’s been blocking

from reading his thoughts too. For fucks sake when I find him I will give him a piece of my mind! I will punch him square in his face and his groin.

I ca to a halt at the voice and I ca face to face with Emilia who smiled at . "Look" she motioned and I gasped when I saw the antiques were floating.
"Sorry," I took them down and sighed, closing my eyes so that I would calm down before I brought the house down. Knowing my magic was at bay I opened my eyes and Emilia still watched .
"Hey"
I forced a smile. "Hey" silence followed and we only just looked at each other rather than talking. Honestly, I don’t know what to say. It’s kind of awkward and I don’t know why.
"I see you’re back from Costa Rica"
I nod.

I snapped my eyes to her. "Heard"
She smiled at . "Dace declared you his female and his lioness, it all over the clan like fire. Congratulation"
I gulped. "Emilia I-"
"I didn’t rember you at first... I thought you were nothing but a bloodthirsty vampire, Luther Countess but you were not. My bad"

"Where is Grayson?"
"With Dace," she said in a shifty tone as anger told over her features.
"He’s not gonna hurt him is he?"
"Or they are both hurting each other" She walked to a chair, took a seat, and crossed her legs. "n being n, violence is mostly how they speak"
I sighed, rubbing my head. I just hope this language of theirs doesn’t go too far. I knew my brother could hold his ground.
"Dace doesn’t really rember, does he?"
I nod.
"I see... He falls in love with you again, Better than Isabella. I heard too you blew her to bits"
"T-That wasn’t my best choice"

I narrowed my eyes. "Set my place?"
She grinned and it was identical to Dace in all mischievous ways. "You told them point blank not to ss with the Lioness or they will get their ass blown up"
"Wasn’t Isabella your friend?" I asked, rembering how kind of close they were at that party years ago.
"She fell out, but I guess that is awful for
to say, a friend is a friend right?’’ She gave
a side-eye. "But she stayed with Dace for two years and I saw her true colors. She fell out of love with him when she found out Dace could never love or give her the emotions she needed. She called him a psychopath and instead of acting like a lesser beast to be so genuine thing in his life she used him for gain and power. Crazy right?"
"I know enough of... crazy" I mumbled.
"I think about that night now... at least now I rember" she began but didn’t et my eyes this ti. "That night we ca to look for Dace and you"
My body tensed. And suddenly it felt like the walls were closing in on .
"Why did you use that spell, Emma? Was that the only solution?"
"I..." I ran my hand through my hair,
"I get it... it wasn’t your fault but why did you go to that fucker Owen, you know how much he hated your relationship, You really thought he would help?" She rose to her feet and folded her arms.
"I never knew he was capable of going too far"
She scoffed. "My brother lost everything that was good that night and he did sothing horrible. He took your life. Dace can never know he did that"
"I want that too, really... but what happened between us reforge our bond"
"Reforge?" she stared at
like I had two heads.
"I was hoping to discuss this with you if you will know anything"
"I didn’t know a bond could be reforged. You an you have his mark back?"
"I don’t have a mark. I just..." I sighed. "I feel his emotions, I hear his thoughts"

"I am just as confused too" I mumbled. I really hoped Emilia would have an idea of this.
"Did you guys have sex?"

I rember Darren telling
about it when we stumbled upon a conversation. And then it dawns on , how could I have missed this? I was stupid enough not to realize this until now. This explains all my questions, about the sudden bond, and the emotions we feel for each other. Although different and more deeper it explains everything.
"Blood is exchanged, consummate set the string" Suddenly like a broken record it played in my head. When Dace kidnapped
and took a bite on my shoulder he claid he had tasted my blood and knew I wasn’t a royal vampire. And then when he first gave
his blood. We have both exchanged blood at that point.
And then the sex. It completed a new mating ritual without us even knowing it. Oh my god! What the actual fuck?!

"Why did you decide to take it? I an aren’t you and Dace getting married soon? Isn’t that what humans call it"
I blushed. "Y-Yes" I popped a pill in my mouth and took a glass of water.
"So shouldn’t you have told Dace about it?"
"We’re not really in that head space to talk and I don’t want a baby with all this ss"

"Dace is conflicted, Emilia. He knows I am keeping sothing from him because he can feel my emotions, he’s angry I won’t tell him anything even though he told
he won’t pressure "
"Well, what do you expect? He feels your every emotion and he knows you’re scared of sothing. If Dace is actually gaining his emotions back then you should know"
I nodded.
"Know that he hates it when people he loves don’t feel safe around him. I don’t want him to find out but with Dace’s persistence I don’t think you can hide it and he knows all your buttons"
"No, he doesn’t!" I protested and she rolled her eyes at my words.
"Oh please, just a push, and your squirming for him like horny teenage"
"Can we not talk about that? What’s up with you and Gray"
"Well until the almightly beta of the clan decided to ruin my secret love? Yeah it was bliss, we caught up"

I take her hand. "You and Grayson deserve to make every bit of ti you have. Those lost ti that was ripped from both of you"
She clasped her hand on top of mine. "You and Dace too... if there’s anyone who deserves to finally have their happy ending it’s you two"
