Chapter 329: Mauling The Rogue
I didn’t know the part that got
cringing the most, the part that Dace nacingly ripped the arm of the rogue off, or the part he kept mauling that which is already dead.
The smashing of flesh, the gushing blood, the spilling of intestines. My heart was in my throat and ti seed to be a halt for , it was all too much... the blood, it was... I held onto sothing for support and I abruptly started shivering, the stomach-clenching sight was becoming unbearable.
"D-Dace" I began but it was a whisper, even though he would still hear
I wasn’t so sure he would respond, he was entirely focused on turning the rogue into smash at.

I turned to Emilia who remained frozen on her spot as well as Grayson, the scene too mind-piercing for them.
"Emma" she began again keeping her eyes on him. "Move away from Dace" Her tone was heavy and I could feel it... she was scared and confused.
I turned back to the scene and almost hurled my stomach out but I held it in. Dace had finally stopped mauling and the sight was too grueso to look at. He stood to his full length like a nacing being ready to pounce on anyone. Was he gone again? Was Dace gone just like last ti? It wasn’t disgust now... it was pure fear seeping through my very bones.

He cracked his head at , a deep growl reverberating from his chest as he stared at
with so much power that I almost fell to my knees just from the look he pinned at . The amount of bloodlust was just too overwhelming.
"Emma!" It was Grayson this ti and Dace snapped his attention to him.
No no no! I knew that look, the bloodlust, Dace would attack without even a second thought. It will be a massacre.

His dark gleaming golden eyes go back to mine, they were so dark that it scared the hells within , it was like staring at an endless form of darkness, a darkness I knew was clearly depleting him.
"Please," I said softly, perhaps to calm him down, but I wasn’t so sure which would work, the last ti he was a rogue he grood
for eating, and Emilia stepped in before it was too late. But that doesn’t an I was unable to reach him... I did it once and I could do it again.

He ceased but it was still brewing the storm ready to unleash hell.
"Alexander!"
He stilled like a calming stand and just stood like a wall, the nacing look gone from his features and replaced with sothing else... just a beast staring at its prey but with no intention of hurting it. So I took it as a sign to go to him making sure my orbs were fixated on him and not on the grueso ss that lay beside him, one more look, and I was certain I would pass out.
I was already frozen in ice of shock and nausea but I couldn’t dwell or focus on it. I needed to bring Dace back, I can’t lose him again, my heart won’t bear it.
I placed my forehead hesitantly on his stone abs and wrapped my arms around him, and squeezed my eyes shut, my heart hamring in my chest and almost leaping out but yet I remained where I was... I was hugging a grotesque being that would most likely maul
to death but I didn’t care. I just want my Dace back.
And then I heard it...
Snapping of bones
Growls that turned to grunts, sounded so painful and caused
to flinch nurous tis. I could only imagine what he was passing through. It was just like that day, his sounds of pain were forever imprinted on my brain.
I could feel the hairs retreat too and suddenly I could feel his calloused body against mine, he was slightly shaking still recovering from his shift but his form suddenly went still and his sudden warmth engulfed .
Seeing that as my cue I raised my head and rubbernecked into unreadable eyes, his eyes were golden but still an opaquer shade.
My orbs fluttered as I examined his features, he was partly covered in blood, and his mouth held them too when he used his teeth to rip the arm of the rogue off, spilling from his jaw down to his heaving chest, holding beads of sweat masking, his hair ssy but still suited his handso features.
I was almost getting teary again because I thought I wouldn’t have to set my eyes on him again.

"Take Grayson out of here"
"What? I’m not leaving Emma!"
He growled and it was deep and it vibrated the earth around . I was shocked by the sound but the sudden arm that wrapped around

"A rogue attacked," Dace said.

"Impossible," Elias said sternly. "There are no rogues in this town"

I blinked in confusion again because she gave
the sa worried look.
"Dace she’s cold as ice," Camille said holding my hand and I was suddenly reminded of my own situation, I was shivering and my body didn’t feel so good.
"Go, we will deal with this" Elias interjected.
It was all too much to process as Dace swap
off my feet and carried
away. I cling to him but it was a hard feat to keep my breathing in check, the blood covering his bare chest was causing
to be more light-headed and I felt like I was getting drained, the shock and experience were too much for
to handle.
