"EMMA!" Grayson called for the tenth ti since we scouted this forest for hours, but we weren’t getting anywhere with this and I can’t even sniff her out, her scent was just... gone? Completely with no trace, where could she be? I went to her room for one minute and she was gone with no trace. The panic I felt was beyond , it still leeched my body, she was out there all alone at god knows where...
I looked at the skies, it was almost morning, and the sun was coming up.
"We have been out here for hours," I said to Grayson who pointed his torch in every direction, he seed more persistent and it got
worried, mostly because I knew it was cold, too cold for him, I an he was all geared up but that won’t stop it all. He wasn’t like , who was tolerant of the cold. He could freeze because we were deep in the woods searching for Emma who was nowhere in sight without a trace.
"She has to be sowhere, she couldn’t have gone far" he totally ignored my words and kept going.
"Aren’t you cold?" I said but he once again ignored , I frowned, folding my arms across my chest. "Let’s take a break"

with an unreadable expression. It was undeniable right now that he looked so fucking gorgeous. That was all I could think about staring at his pretty face.
"Aren’t you worried about Emma?"
"I am but I’m also worried about you, it’s super cold and you don’t wanna exactly freeze to death before we find her"
He exhaled sharply, attempting to ignore
and still go ahead. "I will manage"
I marched towards him and grabbed his arm, even in his thick layer of clothes I could tell his body was as cold as ice.

"Relax we are far from anyone reaching us, I’m more worried about the cold getting to her"

"I’m not" he burst at , setting his eyes back on mine, they were clouded now with sothing I couldn’t explain. "Just forget it," he added. "Let’s just look for Emma"

right now, but would it kill you to push that aside and let us have a real talk?"
"Talk? Last ti I checked I wanted to have a real talk with you but I’m nothing less than a sex relief for you"

"Grayson..." I walked to him and closed the distance between us, tilting my head back so that I could set my eyes better on him. "I said that out of a confused state and I..." I sighed because it stretched so much in my chest, I could feel my mark pulsing to it, we had sealed a bond without him realizing it.
I felt his cold hand on my cheeks and astonished I raised my gaze back to his, I could read them now, they were glum, dazed, and hurt, all the emotions churning in them, this was much of the emotions I have ever gotten from him in one go, he looked so translucent right now and I didn’t know if I should triumph over it or feel bleak over the fact that he was suddenly showing his vulnerable side to .
"Why?" he began in a state of perplexity. "Why is it that whenever I see you sad or hurt, my lower side hurts deeper than my chest"
I swallowed at his words because I knew exactly what he ant, it was my mark on him reacting to the bond, was that how he feels all this ti? That whole month apart we spent after what I did, was he in so much agony just like how I was?

"Yes" I kissed him precipitously and it turned heated in a matter of seconds and I didn’t want it to stop. His lips felt so good that they pierced several tingles in my body, especially his thumb constantly grazing against my cheeks as we battled with our lips.
Everything... The worries, the pain, and even reality itself vanished from my thoughts and it felt like we were up in the skies as the stars illuminated around us not until a growl snapped us back to reality, wait... a growl?
I pulled and simultaneously we both turned behind and my eyes almost widened out of my socket.
"Emma?" Grayson said.
"Dace?" he was here, actually here, in his human form? All clothed standing beside Emma who had a stunned expression, this could only an one thing, how long were they standing there?
Oh no! Dace’s looks tell
everything, the murder look he had on was a tone up for his wild looks and all directed at Grayson.

"Get your fucking hands off my sister!" At his outburst I instantly knew I was right, it was a blur next and then a puff of breeze as Grayson was snapped away from my hold like a twig and next I’m screaming at Dace to let him go who held him by the throat.
But trust my Grayson to always act fast, just where is all that weapon coming from? Dace’s growl ca next when he inbounded a small knife in his hand holding his throat.

"Really?" Dace ridiculed his futile attempt, I know better that Dace was like a walking nace sotis, even his human form was sotis terrifying.
"Dace stop it!" Emma wailed behind.
But I knew my brother and how fucking overprotective he is...

"Dace let him go!" I snapped at him, getting impatient.

Do you have any idea who you’re making out with?" he turned his beaming gold eyes to Grayson who struggled in a futile attempt, I should be relieved that his hand wasn’t directed at his throat anymore but I knew the worst might happen and I was careful not to make any idiotic movents, Dace has always been faster than
both in human and beast form.
"He touches you again, I will rip his hand off!" he growled at him.
This was getting way too far, Dace’s killing intent was like a damn storm, and his anger was getting the better of him. Dace was wild but he always kept himself in check with his calmness but right now he wasn’t giving up a room for that... it was almost like he was out of control.
"STOP IT!" Emma’s scream ca in next and I had to close my ears but it was like a damn sonic wave, and the breeze that blew around too was out of control, one minute a wave of breeze and a sonic sound, and then nothing
In stupefaction, I turned to Emma who had her eyes set on Dace and Grayson and they were beaming for a split second and then back to normal.
"Emma" Dace said completely forgetting Grayson was there and had already let him go, he only had his focus on Emma, and he looked scared and worried and I got the answer to why...
