Once again... I was late, I was fucking LATE! I should have never told her to leave, I should have let her stay with , I should never have left either! I was so fucking stupid! If only I had stayed back, I wouldn’t have been too late, too late to get to Emma.
When I left I was already driving back ho mislaid in my thoughts, I knew I screwed up the ti I had with Emma, but I couldn’t help but be jealous of that warlock stench on her, I knew for a fact they must have been pretty close, I don’t know how close but close enough for
to wanna kill him. I was already on the verge of doing that and it took every shred of control I had to walk away, Yes, I thought walking away from what I originally ca to do would allow
to clear my head, and not think of all the ways I have screwed things with Emma, or that I might not get the chance to see her again, her ti will be spent with that warlock and maybe just maybe she will forget .
Not until I caught a whim of that rotten sll... and then I knew vampires were close.
How? Just how were about 10 of them able to get through the barrier? Except for a small portion of it being broken, I thought the witches strengthened it. Sothing must have happened.
I instantly knew they were headed towards the school, supernaturals were there too, which ans their main target would be there, I lost it because I knew Emma was still in school, although Vampires craved supernatural blood because of the essence it holds that doesn’t an they will spear humans, they have a habit of taking humans as slaves if they get the chance, but their main purpose has always been feeding.
I was already storming to school in my lion form, I have already called the others but I knew it would take so ti before they get here, we were the only ones capable of getting rid of the vampires, a witch or warlock can do that but it was a death sentence for them, although they can wield magic they are still human, and I know of the toll it took in their body. No one stands the chance in school, it will be a bloodbath.
I was fast to get there, luckily the power was off and I could easily slip in and take them down one by one, but I wasn’t fast enough to get to Emma, what made
lose my senses was when I took a whiff of her blood, panic filled
and my lion took over my brain, I was solely focused on getting to her as I laid waste to the vampires attacking, I traced it, silently praying I was there on ti, and hoping that the blood I slt was just from a fall or sothing but I was wrong, I was WRONG!
She was on the cold ground bleeding from the bite on her neck, her heartbeat was faint and it scared
to the bones. I have to get to her but first I had to deal with those bloodsuckers and find whoever pierced her delicate skin.
Taking the two vampires down was child play, but this particular vampire responsible for Emma’s condition was strong, stronger than the vampires I have faced, he looked different and he slt different too but I was having a hard ti thinking plainly when he said these words.
"We should be careful, fighting will bring chaos and this little one over here will get caught in it. I won’t want what belongs to
to be scathed"
He was fucking taking a claim on her?! I was hot on his trail making sure I ripped him to pieces but he put up much of a fight than I intended, he was fast, strong, and calculating, even in my full form he kept up with , werelions were known as the fastest supernaturals but he was mocking
right now but I didn’t let that stop , his nails dug in my flesh nurous ti but I was hellbent on killing him
And for so reason he was hellbent on taking Emma with him, I knew vampires take slaves but when they knew their life was on the line they retreat, they were coward creatures, but this vampire dared to lay his life on the line to take Emma from , there was no way in hell I would let that happen, NEVER!
So I resisted and clawed at him but he was a thick head until he knew I wasn’t gonna let him touch her again, I was still emitting with enough killing intent that will bring this building down if it ans getting to him as if he sensing his plight he retreated and I was left along with my angel already passed out on the cold floor still bleeding.
I retreated to my human form and rushed to her, when I saw the horrible mark on her neck I knew the gravity of it and it made my blood boil, the damn bloodsucker has marked her!
I held her numb body to , shaking, I couldn’t tell if, of anger or fear, I couldn’t restrain the pain that slipped through , my baby girl was hurt and barely breathing. If only I didn’t leave... if only I didn’t agree to my dad’s damn rule. If only I didn’t leave her side all this ti, if only!
But never again, NEVER AGAIN.
"Emma!" Owen called for her and rushed in, I could sll the blood covering him, he was a wounded ss and yet he still ca in search of her.
"Emma"
"Take one more step and I will rip you to pieces!" my voice was that of my lion and my rage, I was done with this, I was done telling myself I do not need to be by her, I was done with that fucking law of coexistence.
Owen was frozen and he was shocked in fear, yes, my killing intent was as bright as day and anyone who crosses my path will drop dead.
