"Let it all out. Do not hold anything back or you will be sick again. Should I go and get you so water?"
Nero asked as he watched Shuu empty his stomach out. It had beco a common occurrence the past few days, and he was suffering because of this.
Unfortunately, whatever he was sick with did not show up in his tests, so there was no way to cure it at the mont.
All they could do was wait and hope that Shuu would get better over ti.
"I-I am fine now. My stomach has settled down now, but I want to go ho. Will it be...rude?"
Shuu’s grip was tight around Nero’s sleeves as he asked this question. He sounded rather worried, but Nero was quick to reassure him.
"It will be fine. You are not rude or anything. If you want to go ho, then let’s go ho now."
He assured Shuu as he pulled Shuu back to his feet.
By the ti they ca out of the bathroom, Reina was already waiting for them outside. She did not look worried, but her body language did scream anxious.
"Are you feeling better now? Do you want to take a look at you using my magic?"
She asked quickly, only to be pushed back by Nero.
"Calm down. Shuu says he’s fine, so I am willing to believe him. We will be heading ho now because Shuu is tired. You can tell Prince Kaiden this if he asks where we went."
Nero walked out confidently with Shuu in his grip. Reina could only watch this with the slight hint of a headache building behind her temple.
"It is easy for you to say. It’s not like Prince Kaiden will kill you or Shuu because you decided to leave. I, on the other hand..."
Reina sighed, but she knew that she had no choice in this matter. Soone needed to go back and report what happened.
Everyone paid attention to her as she walked back and sat down at her seat, and Prince Kaiden imdiately addressed her.
"Did you check up on Shuu?"
All conversations halted as everyone waited for her answer.
"I did et Shuu. Nero decided to take him ho because Shuu was not feeling well. Sothing from the tea must have reacted with his system, causing him to feel sick."
Reina concluded, and Prince Kaiden imdiately looked worried.
"Is that so? Then I guess I have no choice but to ban this tea in the imperial palace—"
"NO-! This is my favourite tea. How can you ban it just because one person got sick because of it? Prince Kaiden, you cannot do this."
Lady Sera imdiately protested and turned toward Prince Kaiden with a sorrowful expression.
But the Prince did not look moved much.
Sigh
"Alright, if you like this tea so much, then you can have it. But only in private. It will not be served to any guests, and especially not in official settings. It can be a danger to our future guests."
Prince Kaiden relented to Sera’s words, and to most people, it would feel like a victory.
But Sera did not feel like this. She felt enraged at the fact that Prince Kaiden had not given in to her demand.
He had always given in to her demand.
’It is all because of that Shuu. First, he cos here and steals all the attention that should have gone to , and then he takes the attention of the imperial tailor. He even managed to get the imperial silk that I cannot get. What else will he get from ? No, I cannot allow him to take anything else.’
For the first ti in her life, Sera felt like she understood her father and why he kept asking her to quicken the preparations for her marriage ceremony.
She never felt like she was in any danger of losing her position as the crown princess...until now.
"Prince Kaiden, I have a favor to ask of you. Can you...bring the date for our marriage forward? I would like to get married as soon as possible."
Lady Sera’s words caused people to gasp, and they looked at her in awe. They waited for Prince Kaiden to answer her, and the prince nodded.
"Alright. If you want to do that, then I will call for the saintess and have her draw a date for our marriage. I also want to get our fortune read by her."
Prince Kaiden agreed, and Sera let out a relief-filled sigh at his answer.
’I will never let you go. You are mine and mine alone. I need to make sure I send Shuu as far away from here as possible...and fast...’

"Are you alright? Didn’t you say that you were feeling fine before we got in the carriage?"
Nero asked as he rubbed Shuu’s back.
Shuu had been completely fine before he got into the carriage, but ten minutes in, he felt like he was dying.
"I...have never felt this motion-sick before."
Shuu complained and wondered if anything would even co up at this point. His stomach was already empty.
Nero looked worried as well and asked the carriage to stop for so ti.
"Let’s rest here for now. We can continue once you feel a little better. I will go get sothing sweet to settle your stomach."
Nero promised before he walked away to find a dessert shop. Shuu sat down at the fountain and closed his eyes. He felt much better now that he was on solid ground. He even felt his worries fade away.
He felt a mont beside him and only opened his eyes when he felt like his side was occupied.
When he did open his eyes, the world around him looked like it had faded away into a grey hue, and only the person sitting beside him seed to be in color. But the black hair and golden eyes did not make the person stand out from the surroundings either.
But despite that, there was sothing...familiar about this person. Just being in his presence made Shuu ache in a way he never had.
