He turned the swivel chair to face the French window behind him. The sun had begun to set and since he was in one of the tallest buildings in the city, it was easy to see the orange sun uninterrupted.
He wondered where all that relief ca from when he heard the man’s voice so he replayed what the man had said. He ca to a conclusion as he got ready to leave his office for the day that he was relieved that Aki was in better condition.
The relief about Aki getting better could have stemd from the fact that it ant the man would soon return and he would get the chance to punish the man to his heart’s content after all, he had enough pent-up emotions.
It could also be simply because Aki was his friend the fact that the man was getting better was just good news to him and he appreciated the fact that Hiroshi had been there for the only person he had ever called a friend in his life.

After the first phone call, Hiroshi gripped the phone tightly until his palm began to hurt. "Oh how I miss him," he muttered under his breath as he took in a deep long breath.
He leaned forward and rested his hand on the table before him. He bowed his head deeply until his chin touched the upper part of his chest and clasped his hands together tightly.
Dumb! Just one word but it weighed heavily on his mind. He had made a mistake and thrown away two very important weeks. By the ti he returns to the country, he will have lost more than a month already from the contract.
He knew he loved his brother and there was nothing he could do about his brother needing his help but that was why it was called a sacrifice. He gave up his ti and life at ho to take care of his younger brother.
A nagging voice warned of how extre his thoughts were getting but he only tightly clasped his hands in that sa position as he took deep breaths. He gave up so many chances to be with Haruki to take care of his brother. That true sacrifice.
When he was in the country, Haruki might not have called him perhaps due to how busy he was during the past few days but he would still feel at ease knowing he was so close to the man.
Knowing that there was a chance that the man would knock on his door and eat dinner with him or he could show up at his office like he did in the past.
With miles between them, he could feel his heart yearn so badly to get close to Haruki. Even if they are in the sa country but different cities, he could bear it but they lived in the sa city which ant he had really lost valuable opportunities with this journey he made.
"Are you okay sir?" a female voice called out to him.
He unclasped his hands and placed his phone on the table before lifting his head. He t the gaze of a pretty lady with light brown freckles scattered on his nose and cheeks. Her lips parted slightly before a light shade of red crept up her pale skin.
"I . . ." she began as she looked down but raised her head once again as though to take in the appearance of the man before her. "I was just wondering if you were okay," she finally said a complete sentence after clearing her throat and further blushing.
"I am fine, thanks," Hiroshi responded very familiar with her reaction to him. He was very aware of how beautiful he was but he could not help wondering if Haruki could see his appearance clearly enough not to have such a reaction to him.
"That’s good then," she said and passed by him to the next table and asked them if they were ready to order.
He could imagine that she would also get such reactions from people considering she was also pretty. Perhaps it was just the sa way he found Haruki’s appearance to be beautiful and the most visually pleasing while Haruki most likely had none of such thoughts towards him.
He could not hold back a sigh before reaching for the cup of coffee that had begun to cool down. He took a sip of the coffee and it made him wonder how long he had stayed in that position to cause one of the café staff to worry and have his coffee beco lukewarm.
He went back to the hospital after eating lunch. When he walked into the room, Aki who was sitting up supported by the raised bed, raised his head from his phone to look at Hiroshi.
"Was Haruki angry with you?" Aki asked casually as he moved his gaze back to the screen of his phone and began tapping on the screen.
"He is glad you’re getting better," Hiroshi didn’t directly answer Aki’s question but responded to him.
"Oh, maybe I should call him to apologise in your stead," Aki smiled slightly as he said without raising his head from the video ga he was playing on his phone.
Hiroshi didn’t respond this ti. He walked to the visitor’s bed and lay on it. He felt very sleepy it was though he might fall asleep even while standing if he didn’t find a place to lay his head.
As soon as his head touched the hard small pillow on the bed, he passed out.
"You don’t need my help?" Aki asked teasingly This ti he raised his head to look at his brother but Hiroshi was already lying peacefully on the bed breathing evenly. "Are you asleep?" Aki was forced to ask in disbelief.
He got no answer from his brother so he smiled and shook his head before moving his attention back to the screen of his phone. He shook his head at the fact that Hiroshi had just co in and in less than two minutes he was on the bed sleeping like a drunkard.
He knew after telling Hiroshi about Haruki that his elder brother would find a way to contact Haruki imdiately. He felt pleased that Hiroshi had been so focused on him that he barely had any ti to contact Haruki.
It even pleased him more that Haruki was not happy according to what his father narrated. For Haruki to have gone to the hospital himself before he found out that Hiroshi wasn’t in the country, that must have made Hiroshi lose so points with Haruki, right?
He found himself laughing as he ignored the ga and locked the screen. He saw his reflection on the screen of the phone and was taken aback as the smile disappeared but the smile ca back almost imdiately even brighter than the first smile.
