Ash’s pov ;

As we entered the reception area, we were imdiately greeted by a welcoming middle-aged lady. Her polite smile and warm deanour made us feel right at ho.

"Good evening," she said graciously, addressing both and Elijah. "We have been expecting you and are thrilled to welco you to our resort."

"Thank you," replied Elijah, flashing a charming smile. "We are looking forward to our stay here."

I could feel his hand gently sliding down my back as he spoke, causing my cheeks to flush with warmth. The staff mbers in the reception area glanced at us with curious looks, making feel slightly self-conscious.

I shot a glare at Elijah, but he simply ignored with a mischievous grin on his face.

It was then that I noticed the entire area was completely empty except for the staff. There were no other guests and not a single sound could be heard.

"Please follow ," the lady said politely, turning to walk ahead of us.

Elijah turned to with an even wider grin.

I asked him curiously. "Why is this place empty? Is it closed today?"

"Well, you could say that," he replied

nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders. "I actually rented the entire resort for us."

My jaw dropped in shock. Did he just say what I think he said? He booked his entire grand resort just for us?

"You rented the entire resort?" I asked incredulously, staring at him in disbelief. "But why would you do that?"

His smile widened and I found myself getting lost in the depths of his srising brown eyes.

"Because, my dear husband," he said playfully, "this is my attempt at wooing you. And also because I want you to truly relax without worrying about being recognized or hounded by paparazzi."

My eyes widened in shock and amazent as I stared at Elijah. Never in my wildest dreams did I think he was capable of such thoughtfulness? He had always been focused on his own needs and desires, never considering mine.

But here he was, standing before with a warm smile and a grand gesture that left speechless. I couldn’t believe this was the sa man I had known for so long. His usual selfishness seed to have lted away, replaced by sothing kinder and more caring.

I couldn’t help but be honest with myself - Elijah’s actions were unexpected, yet they made see him in a whole new light. I was fascinated by his sudden change of heart, wondering how long he was going to stay this way.

As we followed the lady through the opulent lobby, I couldn’t take my eyes off the lavish furnishings and tasteful decor. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling like glittering stars, casting a warm, inviting glow over everything.

We reached our suite and the lady opened the door, revealing a breathtaking room with a private balcony that offered a panoramic view of the mountains. My heart skipped a beat at the sight of it all.

"Please make yourselves comfortable," the lady said before leaving us alone.

Elijah guided to the balcony, where a table was set up for dinner. Candles flickered softly and fresh flowers adorned the table, creating an enchanting atmosphere. As we sat down, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was on a real date. It all felt so unreal.

"This is...amazing," I finally managed to say, my voice filled with awe and gratitude.

"I’m glad you like it," Elijah replied, his eyes sparkling with happiness and the way he was gazing at preciously, I wanted to squeal so badly. "I wanted everything to be perfect."

The lady who showed us to our table gave a polite nod before leaving us alone once again. The sun was setting, painting the sky with a warm golden hue. Soft orchestral music played in the background, adding to the romantic ambiance.

I couldn’t believe he had put so much effort into creating this experience for . I couldn’t help but feel grateful and lucky to be sharing it with him.

Our eyes remained locked but I looked down when I couldn’t take his tempting look anymore, my face burned in front of him.

Elijah kept checking in on , his eyes filled with genuine concern as if he was really nervous and would cry if I said that I did not like it. I wanted to laugh and tease him but I resisted seeing how poor he looked.

"Are you comfortable, Ash?" he asked, his voice laced with warmth and worry.

I nodded, watching as his nerves seed to visibly increase. It was strange seeing him like this, so vulnerable and unsure.

We made small talk, with occasionally teasing him in an attempt to break the tension.

"So, this is your idea of a perfect date?" I playfully prodded, taking a sip of the water.

He chuckled nervously, rubbing his neck. "I’m trying my best here."

After a while, three female staff mbers arrived with refreshnts. They moved gracefully and with practised ease as they placed the dishes in front of us. Elijah’s phone suddenly rang, breaking the mont. He gave a guilty look as he checked the caller ID.

"Sorry, I need to take this," he said apologetically before standing up. "Ladies, please make sure he is taken care of."

As Elijah walked away to take the call, I couldn’t help but feel uneasy under the intense gaze of one of the female staff mbers. The uneasy feeling only intensified when she approached , her expression cold and calculating.

"Is everything to your liking, Mr. Ash?" she asked snidely, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

"Yes, thank you," I replied politely, trying to keep my voice steady.

She leaned in closer as she placed the plate on the table, her eyes narrowing with disdain catching off guard. "You must think you’re very special, don’t you?" she spat out venomously.

I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. "I’m not sure what you an."

"Enjoy it while it lasts," she muttered before standing straight, leaving feeling even more uneasy and exposed than before.

Glancing over at Elijah who was still on the phone, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of anger rise within at the audacity of these workers.

But before I could say anything, another female staff mber spoke up, her tone horrified and disapproving. "Are you the mistress of that rich man?" she asked, her voice low but filled with disgust.

I blinked, taken aback by the accusation. "Excuse ?"

"You must be," she continued, her words dripping with judgent. "That’s what they do, you know. Bring their side flings to places like this, and empty the whole resort so no one can see them. And their real wives never find out."

The anger within boiled over at this blatant disrespect and assumption. Who did this re worker think she was, making such presumptions?

Before I could respond, the third girl who seed appalled by her coworker’s words intervened. She slapped her hand and whispered harshly, "Apologise. Now."

But the girl didn’t back down. "I’m not saying anything wrong," she retorted, her eyes narrowing at . "What tricks did you use to seduce that rich man? How did you manage to get him to bring you here? You must be pretty good in bed to get this kind of treatnt."

I could feel my face growing hot with fury. "You don’t know anything about ," I said through gritted teeth, feeling the weight of their judgnt.

She gave a dirty look, her resentnt clearly shining on her face. "I know enough. People like you always find a way to take advantage of wealthy n. You’re just a pretty face and a good ti."

Before I could respond, the girl who had been quiet throughout the whole exchange finally spoke. "Stop it," she elbowed the rude girl and gave an apologetic look. "Shut up, you’ll get us in trouble. Say sorry right now."

"Why should I apologize?" the rude girl asked, glaring at the other. "I’m just telling the truth," She then turned to with a condescending smirk. "What, you can’t handle the truth? Poor thing, I feel so bad for you."

I couldn’t believe this girl. I didn’t know how to react. My anger was boiling inside and I was trying so hard not to lose my temper.

Though I don’t want to co here but since we are here I don’t want to ruin this date. And I feel like Elijah really did work hard for all these arrangents so I have to endure the words of these bitch for his sake.

But what the fuck is wrong with her? How can she be so rude? I never thought a simple hotel staff would say such things to a custor.

"You have no idea who you’re dealing with," I hissed, clenching my fists.

"Oh, I’m so scared," she said sarcastically. "Please don’t hurt . Will you complain to your sugar daddy? I’m sure he won’t mind even if you cry to him. We have seen enough of how side chicks behave when their rich lovers are present. All spoiled and acting like a queen but they don’t care about you. He’s probably using you as his stress reliever."

Her words were like a slap in the face. I couldn’t believe how cruel and insensitive she was being. I wanted to yell at her, but I knew that wouldn’t solve anything. Staying silent and calm was the best way to deal with such a situation.

"Don’t worry," she continued, her voice taunting and malicious. "I’m sure he’ll find another mistress soon enough."

I wasn’t even feeling insulted anymore. I was beyond furious, and it took every ounce of my self-control to not lash out at her. I know she’s just jealous and the cheap makeup up on her face doesn’t match her ugly personality.

Anger and upset churned within , but I stayed silent. I didn’t want to foul my mood or ruin this evening. Just then, a loud, angry voice growled behind us, cutting through the tension like a knife.

"What did you just say?"
